I self experimented by doing diet and exercise. And the thing I learnt was if you aren't drinking water, no amount of exercise or dieting will get you to lose weight. There is no way I would of followed the advice of a doctor, I couldn't understand without that experience.
Well done, Alex. I appreciate the effort you put into making these videos. You have relevant and relatable content. It would be good to chat sometime. Jeff Lees, Psychologist, New Zealand
I've been listening to Andrew Huberman for 3 years now if only because it makes me feel like I have some power and agency in my own health and well being and to be fair, he always uses caveats for protocols and tells people not to stress about doing them precisely as he has suggested. He says to do what works best for you and that he doesn't diagnose or perscribe, he professes his own findings and the findings of his colleagues.
Completely agree. I’m a big fan of Dr. Andrew Huberman and am in no way criticising any of his work. The problem is though that certain individuals are becoming so overly reliant on what other people recommend/tell them to do that they don’t experiment for themselves first to see if it actually works for them. Without any prior critical reflection, analysis or self-experimentation, they jump straight to doing what they’re told by various online gurus.
I agree🤝
Learnt from the best.

Great example. Ultimately, you are your life’s work so what you experience should determine what you do.

Appreciate the nice words Jeff, and yes I will definitely be offering an opportunity for interaction at some point in the not too distant future.
