The only issue I had with previous X1 STEALTH gen was that default settings used by CYC were terrible!
1) Torque sensor gain was set to *69nm/volt* instead of correct *12 Nm/Volt* . Application was showing some insanely high human power value (up to 1500W!) when riding on flat at 20km/h. Motor was basically working in binary mode (on/off) No intermediate smooth steps. 12Nm/volts fixed that issue completely!
2) Motor Ramp times are also too low! around 50-100ms. 2000ms gives me much smoother riding experience.
It looks like that cyc team didn't bother to properly tune their product before shipping.

@@Emolokz "patience", i needed a working Bike at a certain date and thats it, didnt have any date on when the New stuff would be relased , btw i heard CYC will offer gen 3 torque sensor upgrade kits and controller upgrade kits for gen 2.
This company is the best to ebike kit out there, very happy with my gen2 kit.

Can you please do a demo video, I would like to hear the Gen 3 in action, please. I would also ask if your editing person can drop the music while you are talking, I found it very annoying and had to use subtitles and mute the video to get through it. Thank you and I wish you the all best with the Gen 3 CYC Motor.
+1 reduce volume on music and improve voice quality because all I hear is that annoying hiss sound when she speaks!
Yup. Very difficult to watch this. Every ‘s’ and ‘t’ is painful. Music dB is too high competing with the vocals. Really would benefit from more B roll or riding footage.
This kind of production value reflects on your product and I’m still very likely buying either a Photon or Stealth g3.

Gen 3 feels finally Not like an prototype anymore. I have the gen 2 and i love it but it just felt unfinished in some areas. Great that you devolp your products and keep up with new stuff

I am getting the new X6 to replace the old ASI controller (BAC855) Heard this in-house controller is better than the old one. Now I’m thinking of replacing the whole Stealth ver. 1 with the new version but this version 1 still works great. So far I’ve put 300miles on it and still working without issues. CYC support has always been great! Thanks Cathy!

Can't wait to get my hands on the Gen 3 for testing and review. I have the upgrade kit coming for my Stealth and a full Gen 3 kit. I'll be doing reviews on both with an interview with CEO Jon Chan. I have well over 5,000 km on my X1 Stealth so far and have loved every kilometer of it. Is it loud? I suppose. Traffic noise is louder though. The only time I even notice the noise level is when I am trail riding or forestry roads in the back country. Having said that I have gotten very used to it and don't even think about it. I also just built a fantastic trailer for my bike out of an old Huffy tricycle that has greatly expanded my shopping, errand, and travel experiences. It tracks so nicely at 50 kph I have to remind myself I'm towing a trailer. I'll be posting that video soon. Having a trailer with an eBike is a no-brainer. All that torque comes in real handy. So happy with the new ISIS spline crank that's coming. That was my main feedback to CYC too. They listened to their customers.

I would buy a pro Gen3 right now if you would actually show the motor... i see there are pre orders, but I can't even find a manual. Can you use any battery with the motor? Or is it locked down to your batteries?
You can use any battery as long as the voltage matches the controller. I bought a 52V/21Ah battery from ElectrifyBike. I have over 5,000km on my X1 Stealth. I also bought the smart charger that allows me to charge at 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 amps. I normally trickle charge at night at 1amp to an 80% charge. This extends the life of the battery greatly. One thing I like is how Cathy uses one of their batteries on the downtube they way she has. I'd buy a Triple Bob mounting bracket for that position and use 3 hose clamps.

Our kits are open system so you can use any battery from any supplier as long as it has an XT90 connector but of course, the specs of the battery matter to get the highest power.

What is the continuous throttle only
Top speed of the cyc gen3? With out overheating. My bbshd set up goes 35 mph throttle only. I have gone 3 to 5 miles on flat trail with no problems.
Can i install this on my daily commuter fixie style frame single speed bike ?

Is there brake and gear sensor available?
you can reduce the noise if you polish the gears they seem to mesh better???? but have noticed a reduction in noise,
Gear maintenance is good but polishing them fresh out the box is not going to make a difference. We'll do our best to release a noise video as soon as possible.

That sounds crazy! Crazy, but probably do-able.
I'm surprised there's clearance for the front wheel during bottom out with the battery mounted like that. What size frame is that and is that a 29" front wheel? Im buying a new bike with the idea of having room for a bolt on motor, and wasn't even considering frames like this that have the shock taking up most of the center area.

Will Gen3 work with displays that are supported by Bafang and TSDZ? For example, I have an 860c display.
Hi David, unfortunately not. Our displays have specific firmware to communicate to the controller as we're working towards a more integrated system. You can run it without any display though. The previous Gen displays, the 500c & 750c, is still compatible.
Will it be possible to upgrade the Gen 2 bottom bracket to the new isis one? I just got my Gen 2 and the square bottom bracket is my only concern
The Gen 3 torque sensing module is only compatible with the new controllers unfortunately. You will need to upgrade all of it together. Reach out to our tech support team for more info on this.
Would you say in terms of Power and tourque the new Controller is better than a asi bac 2000
Power and torque is very similar. The X12 will be slightly more powerful but we will be keeping our rated specs at 5000W & 250N.m.

What battery do you have on that bike? I need something similar since I don't have room in my triangle on the frame. I've thought about putting the cyc motor in the triangle and that would free up space lower down more under the bike for the battery. I've heard this is a dangerous place to put the battery though because it can hit with more mud/debris.
I heard the gen 3 were coming so I waited on getting a motor. My only reservation before was the noise. I'm hopeful the motor is much quieter on this generation.
Hi Casey, we have mounted the B52 on here but turned it sideways with some small mods. You're welcome to let our tech support team know if you're interested. They can tell you what we did to mount it this way.
A lot of people mount their batteries below the downtube but it's important to keep in mind the terrain you'll be riding. Debris & mud is not an issue for our packs but keep ground clearance in mind.

Not on its own but an upgrade kit will be available that includes a new display.
Can the 120mm version be installed in a 100mm BB shell?...
Lots of fatbikes cannot be installed a mid drive for this reason; where are the schematics? with dimensions and all?...
The drive side of the BB has no threads, how does it get together?...
Yes, 100%. Just be sure to leave a comment upon checkout stating that you need 4x 5mm BB spacers.
The drive side BB threads into the left side BB cup. Installation video as well as dimension sketches will be out soon.

Have you finally used a display with integrated gps, so no more sensors for speed are needed?
Gen 3 kits come with Topology displays so not yet gps. Working on it though.
GPS is less reliable than speed sensor!
When is the X12 controller be available?
Working on it. You can expect it to be available for order within the next month but we won't make it available it until the firmware is fully finetuned which we are currently busy with.

Why no more BB92 on the X1 Pro Gen 3 ?
Due to high demand, we have brought back the BB92 option. If the demand stays, we'll keep it.
What is max speed and can it throttle to max speed?
If you have a battery that can support the full capabilities of the system together with the X12 (or BAC2000 on the Gen 2), the max speed that has been recorded is 100kph using throttle. The battery specs you'll need to achieve this is a 72V 80A continuous BMS. Ride with care if you're looking to attempt this :)
BB92 bottom bracket version comming?
For X1 Stealth Gen 3, yes but not for X1 Pro Gen 3.

Yeah would be great if they got the cyc x1 pro gen 2 bac855 working properly and or replying to customers got the motor and control unit no problem cyc app username and password no problem sent quite a few emails to cyc customer services nothing fix all the issues with older versions before bringing out new models £1000 on a electric motor that can't be used because you to busy making a new model 👍👍👍👍👌

@@vmao4868 thanks for message like I said motor is fine just tweeking the cyc app but it isn't easy you would have thought they would write a flash file for the bac855 because if you haven't got a clue you are pretty much at a wall bad customer service other than that I am happy 👍
Hi Andrew, I'll check with our team to see if we might have missed your emails. It's unlike us to not reply within a few days at least. For the BAC855, it's important to note that since we do not have so much control over the firmware and especially no control over the hardware, our capabilities for finetuning are limited. We realized that we would face limitations and so developing our own controllers is the best solution. Glad to hear that you are happy with the motor :)
@@cycmotor well send me a new controller because this isn't saving Flash files and I have to set the time date and all the app settings every time the thing is you should have control and soul3be setting them up I have a mate with a bafang bbshd 1000w cheaper product but he turns it on and he is off I turn mine on he has Finnished the track before I have set mine up do a lap power it down and guess what all reset not happy I need a new controller and display £1000 for something that can't even keep settings other than that the motor is great

The problem with this video is that the background music is much too loud for the commentators voice and accent, and not fair to her. Much of the time it drowns her voice out. Have background music if you really must,(but why), but at least make sure it IS background and not overwhelming the real point of the video, which is to get info, not listen to music, which I can do elsewhere.
The music is making her unclear. Whoever mix this needs to remix it so we can hear her talk
The bike is very dirty, you need to clean it
