While not my personal favorite, I do consider this to be the best. My 3 personal favorites (partly due to nostalgia) are Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and Minish Cap.
Notice how Zelda bows her head to Ganondorf as his head lowers when he finally dies? I reckon she does that out if some sort of mutual respect as she and Ganondorf as well as Link are all bound by the same fate.
The Wii version is better. This looked goofy. Not bad for game cube though. Botw on Wii U is better than on the new switch. Playing on that little screen sucks.
@@goldwolf0606 you realize you can play it on tv mode, right? The "little screen" is for added mobility because the garbage wii u is basically a switch prototype. Whats the point of the mini-screen if you cant even leave the room
I really enjoyed this fight! Especially the sword clash, where you actually give us an intense and equal moment between Link and Ganondorf. To see Link winning and sometimes losing the clash is very entertaining and interesting. It sometimes actually irritates me to see all those players out there only playing flawlessly and braggy like it's so easy. At least you showed us a bit of a challenge. Great fight!
I have a feeling the player was doing that on purpose because this fight, while super epic and cinematic is REALLY easy. He also had double damage enabled, which is why he lost like 8 hearts when he failed the QTE. In order to actually lose that QTE you have to practically do nothing and just let it happen. I would enjoy this fight more if you didn't have to sandbag to make it last any length of time like this player here did. You can end this fight in less then a minute if you really wanted too.
@@DarknessIsThePath Yes, I am aware he did that on purpose, it was plainly obvious. That's why I like it. To give us an entertaining and awesome battle
I think it’s a really cool detail that Ganondorf waits for Link to stand back up when he gets a strike on him. Its a great detail that makes him feel more real.
Seriously, thank you for letting the "sour" end of the clash be played. The music following the battle was one of the best parts of this fight, and all boss fights, in Twilight Princess.
I understand that “power” doesn’t only equate to physical strength but the fact Ganondorf gets into a test of strength and loses while he has the the triforce of power is one of the coolest moments in Zelda. As well as his dying standing up. That’s crazy.
Well, no, he IS physically strong. It's just that the Hero of Twilight is ALSO physically strong too, having the strength to wrestle bulls(and Gorons via use of the Iron Boots to prevent them from yeeting his ass out of the arena) and throw them to the ground without any assistance, being able to lift up large and presumably heavy doors with ease, and being able to use the Wrecking Ball & Chain(which is a heavy, massive ball and chain that can destroy massive chunks of ice). So yes, Ganondorf is absolutely physically strong. It's just that... so is Link.
@@generalcjg Ehhh Ganondorf has the Triforce piece on the top for a reason, to show he’s the strongest of the 3 & without the other 2 pieces (Zelda & Link) working in unison they’ll lose easily, everytime. 1-on-1 Ganondorf should win based on what we know but plot will always make Link the victor.
this ganondorf is a relic of the past, he is nothing compared to the wind waker timeline ganondorf who fights with the hero of time, literally the fact that he owns the power triforce are luck
Woah, someone actually makes the fight realistic and doesn’t: beat him with a fishing rod Speedrun the fight Only stab I really appreciate that actually
Now this is what I call a final battle. An intense sword fight between the hero and the villain with each one seemingly overpowering the other and in the end, the hero still triumphs. This is how I picture a final showdown between Link and Ganondorf to look like.
Even in death he refuse to yield towards Hylians for his hatred and grudge to only sought out a better life for his people who were killed in droves in Arbiters Grounds
0:38 has to be the coolest shot in any Legend of Zelda game. The way that the tension builds as both Link and Ganondorf get in their battle-ready stance and then the music just drops is so epic as the camera zooms in. God, I love this game.
Here is a guy who finally doesn't rush through the fight or show the first 3 boring segments of the final boss. He actually makes it cinematic and just shows the final phase.
2:17 I remember when I first did this fight that moment made my jaw drop that Ganondorf had a guard break move with the immediate followup sword hit. I was genuinely impressed they gave him a move like that.
The Best Part! 3:09 Fail 3:54 Win Link: You may know everything i'm going to do, but that's not going to help you since i know what you're gonna do, STRANGE ISN'T IT?!
I think this boss battle was made more so the player can get creative and make it as dramatic as possible than it was as an actual challenge. Like, this is your reward for finishing the game.
Thank you for saying this. People think Zelda is all about challenge when it's more so about fun factor, the amazing world, and goosebumps. More people should try the three heart challenge and no upgrades if they want an actual challenge. Make up your own difficulty in A video game.
What makes this fight even more epic is the fact Ganondorf is severely handicapped by his wound from the Ancient Sages and is still confidently fighting on par with the incarnation of the Hero 1 on 1.
This dude was so frickin' powerful, the sages ran him through with the sword of the six sages, got battered with light arrows, stabbed AGAIN with the master sword and then lost the Triforce of power that was keeping him alive. He only finally died when Zant used his own power to end him, but even then he stayed standing. Damn.
Don't forget that he took blow after blow after blow from the Master Sword, and he fell from his horse and tumbled across the ground. Honestly, he's the absolute strongest Ganondorf in the series, bar none. I doubt the Demon King Ganondorf from TotK could penetrate his almighty guard.
The secret to this battle actually lies in the FISHING ROD, the first item you obtain in the game. I’m dead serious cast your line and Ganondorf will temporarily be confused and look away at it allowing you to land a strike. I’m not sure if the creators meant it to be this way but how ironic is it that the first, least used and least deadly item you get helps you win the final battle.
@@chadpeterson5698 no. that was okay to use. ONCE. after that, its pure stupid. they should have programmed it so it worked once, but if link uses it a second time, he immediately gets backhanded by ganon's sword.

Agreed. I feel that Demise's hatred and anger sought a vessel in the era of Time, and the King of Thieves was the perfect conduit for his resurrection. Had demise never made his curse, Ganondorf might not have been evil at all and might have actually allied the Gerudo with Hyrule in OOT.
Ganondorf had good intentions for his people but because of being the reincarnation of Demises hatred he is doomed to become corrupted, insane and to power hungry and will cause destruction
In Windwaker after his defeat through hero of Time, banishment in the dark world for centuries, after his return to hyrule, banishment in hyrule under the ocean and his 2nd return, he became more peaceful and tried to distance himself from his demonic side. He still was obsessed with getting triforce but he wasn't as violent and insane as before.
"It is obvious that this contest cannot be decided by our knowledge of the Force... but by our skills with a lightsaber." - Count Dooku This stage of the boss fight was up close and personal. First Ganon hid in Zelda's body, then they both used animal avatars to attack each other, then they used their horsemanship skills, before deciding to duel each other face-to-face like two gentleman. I never got to play this in this past. I hope Nintendo re-releases this on the Switch.

This is what a true final battle is. Both fighting to determine the fate of the World. Both possessing the power of the Gods. They took everything good from the other games and put it together to make this master piece. I don't think they'll make something like this again. This was a part of my childhood and watching this gives me chills.
While Twilight Princess is my favorite as well, something tells me that you might eat your words.
I like oot.
While not my personal favorite, I do consider this to be the best. Breath of the Wild is definitely one of the best games of all time, but I didn't like it too much, and I think THIS was when the series was at its best. My 3 personal favorites (partly due to nostalgia) are Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and Minish Cap.
Skyward Sword for Wii 'rulez😎... ☹️.
@@thegameknight8916why? Game still the Best around
Notice how Zelda bows her head to Ganondorf as his head lowers when he finally dies? I reckon she does that out if some sort of mutual respect as she and Ganondorf as well as Link are all bound by the same fate.
She seems to be praying. Can't blame her for it, after Ganon's unholy death.
@@pyroshayniac1090
I suppose it's similar to most religions where killing is generally a sin and can only be forgiven under specific circumstances.
She could also be bowing as to say "It is finally over."
Maybe she had to sneeze

Can.... Can I have the sword back?...
@@Kobekola Oh my gosh. 😂 I could totally see Link thinking that.

Y'know, I had a realization about the Master Sword and how it behaved in BOTW.
Because it is easy...
Ofc it was done on purpose, still doesn't take away the fact that it is way more interesting watching this video unlike everyone elses @@Zeik188
@@DarknessIsThePath Yes, I am aware he did that on purpose, it was plainly obvious. That's why I like it. To give us an entertaining and awesome battle
It is easy to overpower him. But its more interesting to fail.
It never got any better than this. Hands down the best Zelda game in history.
Nah, every Zelda game is a gem.
I'd definitely put it up there with ocarina of time and majoras mask
Botw is better imo, but this boss is way better
I almost agree. I find BOTW to be slightly better but overall TP is a very underrated game. That’s just my opinion though.
@@ha5541 it’s the 2nd best selling Zelda game ever.
I think it’s a really cool detail that Ganondorf waits for Link to stand back up when he gets a strike on him. Its a great detail that makes him feel more real.
It's because ganondorf has honor
dont all enemies in this game do that though? This game has hit invincibility
@@flydrop8822 he means how ganon taunts link when he gets a hit like "it that all?"
It's just that... so is Link.
@@cdsatcherMakes sense, Link has the Triforce of Courage, so he should be Ganondorf's equal in terms of power, strength, and feats.
Woah, someone actually makes the fight realistic and doesn’t:
beat him with a fishing rod
Speedrun the fight
Only stab
I really appreciate that actually
Now this is what I call a final battle. An intense sword fight between the hero and the villain with each one seemingly overpowering the other and in the end, the hero still triumphs. This is how I picture a final showdown between Link and Ganondorf to look like.
I hope the sequel to breath of the wild would look similar to this
@@cdwilson12_ This aged like wine.

Ganondorf...............can't you fall even when you're dead? i mean, dude, this guy died and he's still standing

I love the little scene in which link loses the sword lock on purpose to make the fight more realistic
I’m glad I’m not the only one who goes out of my way to make my playthroughs of these games as cinematic as possible.
Here is a guy who finally doesn't rush through the fight or show the first 3 boring segments of the final boss. He actually makes it cinematic and just shows the final phase.

BRUH THATS THE ONE FROM SONIC MOVIES! The one you commented that YellowGamers!
The series of blocks and parries at 1:47 is just perfect
I hate that Nintendo put that in

I love the angle of the whole fight. Slightly lower than normal which really sells the effect that Ganondorf is actually quite tall and menacing
Man I LOVE the animation of Link twirling the sword around in his hand. I wish they included little details like that more with the other links 😔
I think it was Aonuma who said he wanted this Link to be a bit of a brat, the sword twirling is an aspect of that lol. Also him posing on the bridge
The music in this fight is top notch
i feel like ganon is a victim of demise just like link and zelda.
I watch this video at least once a day for heroic inspiration. Thanks for making this fight a gem.

This stage of the boss fight was up close and personal. First Ganon hid in Zelda's body, then they both used animal avatars to attack each other, then they used their horsemanship skills, before deciding to duel each other face-to-face like two gentleman. I never got to play this in this past. I hope Nintendo re-releases this on the Switch.
2:54- Love how Ganondorf uses his Raw Strength in the fight...he ain't no light weight.
I love the way how Ganon dodges to the side and gains distance and then puts his hand up and tells link to come at him, it really does put the cherry on top of this epic duel
Battle's between Link and Ganondorf are always intense. One of the best Rivalries in Video Game history 🛡️⚔️
If Ganondorf hit like THIS in normal mode, it would be the most epic fight in history of video games.
Yep and having him do 8 hearts of damage and the clash is an instant deathin the position that the player is in with this video.

Edit: also I love the way the music adapts during the chance duel
If you lose the clash... that's 8 hearts gone! Holy crap!!!
Does anyone else who has played this game normally, also know that Link loses 8 hearts in that clash or not?
That seems a bit much if u ask me!
Damn I never noticed the music during the sword lock. I love how it changes to be more heroic sounding when you're winning, but sounds more dire when you're losing.
This is what a true final battle is. Both fighting to determine the fate of the World. Both possessing the power of the Gods. From the Child Timeline, yes, when OOT Link warns the King of Hyrule and OOT Zelda of Ganon's plans of what he did in the Adult Timeline
Man, Ganondorf must be rightfully ticked off. You know, being the reincarnation of THE Demon King that opposed Hylia (despite failing) and yet, he's experienced the icy embrace of death so, so, sooooo many times.
For the people calling this game easy, i recommend playing hero mode and if you can, use the ganon amiibo, that makes the game difficult cause its 4x the damage taken and no hearts can be found in the wild so you gotta be extra strategic. Im planning to do this on my next playthrough
