I have many knives and about half of them are high carbon steel and the others are stainless steel. One knife I have was issued to me when I was in the Air Force and working on cargo parachutes and I can't remember who made that knife, but it proved to be a great folding knife. The rest are ones I purchased and they are nice also. I have both a Case pocket knife with two blades on it, and the fixed blade hunter knife which is great also. They are so nice until I put them with my collection and is currently trying to figure out what I did with the knife issued to me my the Air Force which will be my pocket knife to carry.
How old is that knife? What's the date code say? The bolsters looks worn and forced patina or not the was rust near the tip of the sheep's foot blade. That's Amber Bone and it does yellow some with age.
+Arlen Norby on the sheep's foot blade, I do not see red rust, only gray patina that has a rusty look, no red though & smooth all over the blade itself: red rust would be rough feeling. The tang stamp says 63032 cv, the main blade has the name Casexx, underneath the name it has with two little x x spread apart just like that. I bought it new I think in the year 2010. From Case's website the dates go from 2010-2019 on that tangstamp. Hope that helps!
Just subscribed because I love collecting pocket knives, also guns and vintage fishing gear. Keepem coming and I'll keep watching
Thanks! Great minds think alike. Gonna try to upload more this year. My collection has grown. It'll be fun for sure

I had to click on this because of all the bandages, even when I'm being dumb playing the 5 finger knife game I've never reached these levels lol.
How does it do on fingers?
The knife won.
Thanks
By the looks of your hands it’s plenty sharp! 🤣🤣🤣
How did you force the patina?
Jasper Vianen you speak very sharply to it😂

Use your other hand for a while.
One word GEC
You are concerned with non important issues. Does the knife do its job? Your concern with non essential items is stupid. Sorry I am not a fan.
Good job bud ........ I took the bandages for real as ive been kissed by plenty of slip joints. Twice about 3 days ago.
