thank you for posting this video i am at the scaling stage and found this very useful , iv just acquired a MR 1/4 spit converted to mk22, however i have wheels here what size wheels does this spit use? i cant remember. cheers Jake
jakebeer91 Hi - my wheels are 6 inches in diameter - 153mm. They are from Mick Reeves. Mk IX and Mk XVI wheels including tyres were 24 inches, almost 61 cm. This varies a few mm according to the tyre tread fitted. The Mk22 wheels were a bit bigger - but I don't know the size, sorry.
hi john, thank you for the reply, i think i'll go for the reeves wheels, must be near as damn, did you use his oleo's? I'm torn between his and the Robart #680's. or the whole retract units used for the CY models 110" spitfire. please post more progress on your spitfire looks to be an awesome project to follow =]
