Yep =). I work in pastels in a very similar way. The glazing layers would be different but I do still glaze with pastels but yeah the layering process from darl to light would be exactly the same =)
Have learned so very much watching your channel. Thank you again for sharing. I started with way too large of a painting and stressing over it a LOT, getting very frustrated, and may set it aside for something smaller and a cute bird like this may be a better option so I feel like I can accomplish something and practice my brushstrokes. Would you say your base layers are a shade or two darker so you can build up from there and do you let each layer dry before proceeding? (Sound was fine for me also)
Ah, yay so pleased to hear that ❤️. Painting on larger scales can easily become overwhelming. I love working larger as it enables lost if fine details but it certainly can be testing at times. A smaller project or even a little study, eye painting for example are great ways to break it up. For the base layers I'll usually pick the darkest colour I can see in that one area I'm working on and then build from there =)
Very quick and precise advice ! Loved it!
Can you also use this technique for pastels?

Sound is poor. Need to speak louder or something.
The sound is fine my end and it's really clear. I've checked on multiple devices so I'm not sure why it's not ok your end 😕
