I think her desire to add to a conversation makes the interviewee more comfortable to let loose a bit more. It’s more a conversation than an interview, who doesn’t like that? And she seems genuinely interested in hearing people’s stories, from the biggest star to the most regular everyday person. She is the real deal. What you see is what you get is the vibe she gives off, I don’t think she could be a put on if she tried. Really enjoy her show.
I was going to say the same thing...Kelly is a very good interviewer, even more so than Cobert (whom I like) and so much better than Fallon (whom I loathe). Of course, she's always had that incredible personality from the very start...

I see a lot of people have a problem with Kelly interjecting. I had to re-watch. She is genuinely interested in what he has to say, and it shows. Her interjections are small and encouraging, which led to a very good interview in my opinion. He had a lot to say and in a short period of time. UA-cam Rachel Ray if you want to see the difference. I think Mr. Rogers would have enjoyed being on Kelly’s show very much.

I think all these celebrities actually find Kelly refreshing bec they dont feel like theyre in a typical interview but simply talking with a friend. Watch Patti Labelle and Jeff Goldblum heap praises on her.

I think because it varies from state to state maybe. It's just easier to make people do their own damn math than to do regional reprints. Idk though.

Kelly, please practise the W.A.I.T. method of interviewing. I caught myself a couple times saying, “Let him finish!!!” while I watched this video. Your warmth and enthusiasm are lovely, but you interrupt too much.

I agree!! It is so irritating to see an interviewee trying to complete a story without her jumping in. It gives me anxiety. Why have a guest if we can't hear their entire sentence?
Chris Matthews has been interviewing people for TWENTY yrs. and he STILL interrupts his guests even worse than Kelly, so give her a break. Hopefully she'll improves sooner than Chris.
marvymaxee J Shepard I don’t understand your complaint. Maybe in other interviews she interrupts too much. I don’t watch this show enough. But this was a very good interview, especially because she approached it like a conversation.
We have enough straight interviews where it’s just questions after question. I’m tired of empty interviews. She’s obviously having chats as if she met them at a party and they started a conversation.
Oprah interrupted a lot more but she was still enjoyable to watch because she would chat with people. I miss her now that she’s off the air. So I’m happy Kelly has a similar interview style while interrupting a lot less.
I swear people are always looking for anything to criticize as if there’s always a right way of doing things.

I admit I wasn't sure about Kelly Clarkson having a talk show because she can be a bit loud sometimes and she likes to talk alot..but so far I think she's doing a great job..this interview was good,I enjoyed it..I am excited to see "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood",it seems like Tom Hanks is the best and only choice to play Mr.Rogers..I was one of those kids who was lucky enough to grow up watching Mr.Rogers and even though he is not here physically anymore he is alive and well in those of us whose lives he touched..so those of us who were truly influenced by Mr.Rogers need to use his example to lead this world into the bright and beautiful future it deserves..we can do this if we all try..every day simple acts of kindness can add up to alot..we need to be the change we want to see in the world 😊

But she doesn’t dominate. Her stories are short and relatable. Rachel Ray is the one that aggravates me with too much talking. I sometimes wonder why she even invited her guests since they don’t get to finish any sentences.

in a conversation this happens, as long as the stories are short and related to what is being talked about it is actually beneficial to the conversation, since it shows the other person you are listening and paying attention... and it is probably one reason so many guests compliment her on her show, and why a lot of people enjoy watching her interviews.
This was such a great interview. Kelly has such a gift at making people feel comfortable. This was so lighthearted, as if they were both just having a casual conversation.

J Shepard This was a very good interview. But more of a chat than a straight interview of shooting out questions. Which I’m tired of. She said a few small things while he was talking but she didn’t actually interrupt him where he couldn’t fucking finish.

I knew Fred’s shoes were halfway tied and I never even saw the show. I seen a clip on UA-cam after this trailer came out.
It screwed me up as a kid. I was trying so hard to learn to tie my shoes and Mr. Rogers made it look so easy, that I couldn't understand why it took me so long. Thanks for the low self esteem...based on a LIE, Mr. Rogers! 😉😂

When you see people with young children, and even babies in public tell them remember when I was growing up my hero was Fred Rogers who was the host of Mister Rogers Neighborhood.

A lot of people might say it’s rude, but this stems from a low self esteem, a lack of confidence, and perhaps some other issues.
Look past it, there’s no malice or an attempt to sabotage what he’s saying, I think she’s just nervous to be interviewing a legend like Tom Hanks, who she will have watched as a kid on the big screen.
I’m 41, she’s 37 - if that was me in that chair, I would probably be crying with joy that I would be getting to talk to one of my favourite people of all time 😊🧡

Kat Bowl. He’s the host of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood since 1968. Fred Rogers died a long time ago in 2003.

Tom Hanks is a talented actor, but like many actors fails to disappear into his roles. One is always aware that one is watching Tom Hanks, which for me was a huge disappointment that he was cast in the role of someone like Fred Roger’s one of the most genuine, kind people the world has ever known. What is wrong with Hollywood that they keep doling out roles to the same people? There had to be an actor out there that. Would have been ten better in this role than Tom Hanks in a cardigan would have been an unknown actor waiting for his once in a life-time opportunity. Tom Hanks is excellent playing fictional characters, or even less known historical figures, but what one is likely to experience when watching this huge miscasting is Tom Hanks pretending to be Mr. Rogers, which is always a huge distraction. As Spencer Tracey famously advised young actors on the craft of acting: “Don’t let them catch you at it.”
So many of his films I find myself catching Tom Hanks at “it”. I am not going to pay the price of a movie ticket to see Tom Hanks pretending to be Fred Rogers; but I will, to be fair, rent the DVD when it comes out, and hope to see Fred Rogers and not the very likable Tom Hanks. I won’t hold my breath.
Fred’s wife Joanne approved of the casting of Tom Hanks for the role of her husband because Tom was Fred‘s favorite actor. Read apparently never got tired of watching Forrest Gump.
On Kelly's knowing your neighbors campaign, it is a beautiful thing! I'm embarrassed to say that every summer evening I sit out on my back deck & across the woods, my neighbor does too. I let out a HUGE burp one night, then I heard him clear his throat! LOL! Maybe I should go meet him. We've been neighbors for like 15 years! I hear him talking on his phone & he hears me burp :(

The thing is the interviewer so into the interview and she seems to be very comfortable and really enjoying interview most interviewers should be like that I think she did a very nice job she made I think Tom Hanks comfortable she was very comfortable she did not seem nervous and she was just having a nice conversation with Tom. Very cool
