About the game:
Instruments of Destruction features an advanced physics-based destruction system. You can demolish every structure in the game piece by piece. In addition, every object you see in the game world--save for small decorative plants and rocks--is part of the physics system. Each element of the world interacts with each other and together they create a physical, visceral world to play with.
Build Your Vehicle
Build a vehicle your way, with an ever-expanding array of parts and pieces. Using an intuitive vehicle construction system that also lets you customize your vehicles' appearance and controls, you'll always have fun creating your next awesome invention.
From simple splitters to advanced joints, a variety of parts slowly unlock as you play through the game, and each unlocks countless new possibilities.
While some vehicles will perform better than others in accomplishing your objectives, it's always a bit more fun to get creative and go a little off script. Optional bonus challenges and objectives will reward more creative builders and add more replayability.

it looks like theres a ton of part collision in that building and when you loosen it, it explodes lol. it almost looks like there are 2 roofs inside of eachother

Yeah it did look like thing were occupying the same space that you see in games sometime I do want them to keep that but maybe give it its own map
the pull is better because there is nothing pushing against them keeping them from moving.

oh and the vortex thing is more effective because its pushing every thing away from one direction whereas the vaccume is just pushing from on point right?
the reason attract seems to work better is because there's no pieces between the the parts that want to fly away and where it wants to fly to. with push it has to push itself through the rest fo the building before it can get flung

You should make a missile with the vortex. See if all the debris will follow.
So I’m guessing the devs duped that building twice in the same spot giving it more mass and parts, and since parts can damage parts you get the kaboom, the speed it falls down is from the weight
9:27 when you are pushing, the parts at the surface are buttressed by all the parts behind them, when pulling, the parts at the surface are completely unsupported, so it peels away everything layer by layer.

I would like to see a creation that launches a vortex into a building, that would be very satisfying

•Trying to float using vortexes (on land and water of course)

My terraria instincts is occurring
I'd love to see some kind of device using the vortex that "hoovers" the buildings up as you have done here, but then a 'barrel' folds in, so that when you repel, all of the debris is fired out in a focused area, kind of like a shotgun. The turbine vacuum doesn't allow you to hold your 'ammunition' as it just flings it out behind it, and it seemingly has less power, so by using the vortex you are able to replicate the turbine vacuum's behaviour, but with the ability to hold a large amount of projectiles, and a substantial force to fire them with. I personally feel that this has the potential to shred other buildings to pieces :D

It’ll be cool if you can create some sort of tornado maker, and make the parts spin around in the tornado
Instruments of Destruction idea: Try making a precision glass remover that removes nothing but the glass on a specific building.
with the aimed vortex pieces (I forgot what they were called lol) angle them and make some kind of tornado machine using building fragments.

I have a idea to create a force field put one of those vortex makers on attract and then on slightly less range put a repel vortex maker on top the attract one the attract one will take prices of building and the repel will keep the a certain distance away hope you try this

I watched the explosion more than once... That needs to be added to the game, not necessarily for the drills. That level of destruction was just different than anything else currently in the game.

I want to see the vortex cannon aimed upward or down. You could also put two of them at a slight distance, like you did. But, have their polarity opposite. Like one pulls and one pushes. Hell, you could use the vacuum to pull stuff in and then make it into a tornado.

Scrapman, you need to build like a small deployable drone with one vortex on top. You should deploy it slowly in a building and just repell everything
make "blackhole" missiles with the vortex's to shoot and destroy the buildings from the inside

You should make missiles with vortexes on them that just go in to the building and tears it apart from the inside. also does the vortex affect loose parts that are connected to your vehicle like the bendy bits you used for the tank tracks?

You could make some sort of debris canon with those vortex things, like pull debris into a loading door type thing and close it, and then using repel and the debris having nowhere else to go will blast out the barrel

This episode game me a few ideas, like combining spinning blades and turbine vaccuum to make a jet engine-like shredder. Or putting vortex devices on missles and launching them at things.

With the drills added we need the possibility to dig/drill into the ground. Tunnelbore would be so cool
Maybe it would be cool to see a missile that, instead bombs on the ends, they have either a vortex or that other directional vortex. So as the missile flies through the air, it destroys buildings around it.
Or even a grenade launcher... or should I say vortex launcher?
the vacuums seem to have an effect on the creation itself, may be use that for a flying build because they affect the buildings unlike thrusters
You should make a massive slingshot using the detachable points and the magnets/steel balls.
Video Idea, Make a leaf sucker that sucks the buildings in and shoots them upwards out the bad.
An Idea of a creation using all the new parts is a debris cannon, use the vortex to pull debris in, use the vacuum thingy to push them in 1 direction through a barrel or something, maybe also make a mag and make it work for the new explosives, use the aiming laser to aim.
Haven't checked if anyone else said this (probably) but I think attract works better because there's nothing between the building and where you want the debris to go, rather than repel, where it's getting pushed into itself, gaining resistance
Now I want to see a play through series of volcanoids. I have the game myself but haven't finished it.
Some ideas for this game:
1: try making a building parts launcher that sucks one building in with the turbine's, and then launches the parts at another building
2: make a big (reloadable) missile launcher with the new bombs

Buildings, especially skyscrapers and other tall structures are made to be resistance towards wind! But not against a pulling force!
You mentioned making something using the vortexes in a sort of playdough sort of way,
Think you could make a vehicle that would resemble a rubber duck (or anything else) *AFTER* turning on the vortexes, essentially using the debris in a sort of symbiotic way

You could make a "Clean Up" vehicle that destroys all the buildings and then blow away the debris. You could also just add one on like a leaf blower to do the same.

Make a mouth that eats debris and it all piles up into the the mouth and repells it on other buildings. Ps, the mouth could be like a dragon or a t-rex or a full body of a dragon or something laying on a platform :).

Maybe make a missile w/ 2 vortex’s attracting to the middle like you did on the first one? &/or I noticed how the 2nd vortex creation allowed the debris to hit each other in the middle & make the debris concentrated in the middle & fly out. Maybe take advantage of that??
Yooo if you could take that base test vehicle for the vortex, but make it a large, rotating circle with a bunch of them, so like try to make an anti-gravity center but one that stays more or less consistent, hopefully the rotation would help keep it from pulling debris into the vortex, maybe if they're staggered between attract and repel to make a swirling ball? Idk enough about this game or it's physics, but if magnets work in a similar way, it should work hopefully!
