I smiled when you said Barry gives off Danny Zuko vibes from Grease - did you know that Barry Gibb actually wrote the title track “Grease” that Frankie Valli recorded for the film?
The Guinness World Records lists Barry Gibb (the man in the middle) as the second most successful songwriter in history, behind Paul McCartney (The Beatles)
@@DrDJBadMedIndeed, as you say, in the world of the Bee Gees, the ‘man in the middle’ is Maurice (the bridge or the link between two very strong characters: Barry and Robin). However, if I remember incorrectly, the channel owner refers to Barry as the ‘man in the middle’ when commenting on the video, perhaps because she doesn’t know his name or couldn’t remember it, and in the video, Barry is always in the middle.
The voice is called falsetto, Barry discovered it when their producer asked if one of them could try a high scream at the end of their song nights on broadway. They wrote the soundtrack tfor the movie Saturday night fever (Stayin alive is the theme song) and became the disco kings, althoug the disco music is only a tiny part of their music and they didn`t know what disco was/meant! They are legends, wrote and sung more then 1000 songs, more than 100 top 10 songs, 6 #1 songs in a row, beeing in the hall of fame, in the rock n roll hall of fame.....! Sex symbol: Barry Gibb, voted "Sexiest Man Alive" in 1968 - and that's without his full beard and iconic lion's mane. And he also wrote the theme song Grease for the movie grease, sung by the Tavares!
you had a mistake, the song grease was written by Barry , yes but was sung by frankie Valli, not by Tavares, Tavares sung "more than a woman" in saturday night fever album
Great start to your reactions! Bee Gees is a fantastic group which I discovered only a few years ago and now I can´t stop playing them. The brother who sings lead on this one (Barry) also has a really deep natural chest voice. I can recommend "Lonely Days" (Live in Las Vegas 1997) with Barry on lead, or "For Whom The Bell Tolls" if you want to hear one of the other brothers (Robin) on lead.
You have started your reaction channel with the best group of all time, their quality and vocal harmony, their arrangements and their production are absolutely incomparable. If you react to Too Much Heaven you will have a lot of views and subscribers, (you just have to look at the views of the bee gees that others have who react and you will realize how great they were), I recommend the song living eyes as well
Stayin Alive.............from "Saturday Night Fever" which was a GIGANTIC movie and also a GIGANTIC Sound Track back in the late 1970s. The Bee Gees are brothers Barry (the guy in the middle) Maurice and Robin....they also had a younger brother named Andy who was very successful in music until his tragic death at a very young age.
They are my favorite band of all time. They were musical geniuses that have no equals. No enhancements or audio assist; just their natural voices. My favorite is Robin Gibb- the one in the red t-shirt and vest.

Hi, amazing reaction, well done! They were brothers, Barry Gibb (the older is still alive). The other 2 were twins (Robin and Maurice, RIP). There are so many great songs (Too much Heaven, How deep is your love, More than a woman... ) there also was a younger brother, Andy Gibb, a solo singer, you can check out his hit songs 'Shadow Dancing'and 'I just want to be your everything'. Can't go wrong with Bee Gees. Great job on your first reaction. I second Frod's suggestion for "For Whom The Bell Tolls", which is a Robin & Barry shared lead. I will add "Man In The Middle", for a Mo (Maurice, pronounced Morris) lead. "Nights on Broadway" (early 70s) and then lets round it out with something from the 60s, like "The Change is Made". Hope to see more Bee Gees!!
Too Much Heaven, Night Fever, Alone, For Whom the Bell Tolls, More Than a Woman, and the list goes on! Want to see their first time on TV? Watch Time is Passing By, they were on TV when they were young kids living in Australia!

So happy to see another young person discovered the Bee Gees. Barry definitely could have had all the girls, that's true. But he always only wanted his wife Linda and never looked after another woman. Could you maybe react to the song "Lamplights" from 1989, sung by Robin? A beautiful ballad from their album "Odessa". Thank you!
Bee Gees: Run to Me, Jive Talking, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, Lonely Days, To Love Somebody… Heck, just look at the playlist from their Greatest Hits album.
Barry (in the middle) did not start out singing so high. When asked to do some high-pitched adlibs in their song "Nights on Broadway" he was as surprised as anyone that he could not only reach that pitch, but that he could sustain it! The high pitch was really only used as a fad in their later 1970s songs, before they went back (usually) to their original sound in the later songs of the 80s and 90s. Try "You Win Again" for the contrast.
Something strange with the sound. It’s very tinny and echoing. Love the BeeGees. Hope fully you will do many more , there are over 1000 to choose from. They have been singing together since Barry was 9 and the twins( Maurice and Robin) were 6. AMAZING!

To hear Robin’s vocals, listen to Wedding Song, I Can’t See Nobody, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Massachusetts, Mr. Natural, I Started A Joke, and I’ve Just Got To Get A Message to You. In my opinion, Robin has the best voice of them all. But, they all are great in their own ways. They all need each other to make that great Abe Gee sound.
