Nice to see two off the best guys putting videos out working together.
LOL, It is always fun to work with my man ETCG
always good to see a good friend like Eric around to lend helping hands
Hey, that is also a nice way to gain access for a super XL thorough car cleaning operation. And doing dielectric grease on the connectors.
Charles, it is a really valuable lesson just to learn how to unmount and remount parts on a car in a proper way.
Thanks for this!👍🏾 I can't lie I find VWs to be over engineered, I don't find the majority of the rears overly complicated or impossible.
You and Eric should consider setting up shop together I don't doubt the knowledge between you both would make for an awesome shop
It's even more funny if you do this all alone :)
Me, finding this video, before heading to the pick n pull to pull TWO doors by myself.
Always cool to see you guys work together!
It'sgreat seeing both you guys doing these videos. Looking foward to more.
omg its Eric!!! *instantly grins
Tof ! Simpele manier om aan je deur te werken als je slot of raammechanisme stuk is ! Dank u mannen !
Hey dude I'm real curious and I'm sure everyone else is but WHAT ABOUT THE FRINT DOORS I'm having trouble taking the bolts out behind the dash
yea what about the front door rear door looks easy
You did that the hard way, only 2 bolts need to be removed, one on top that is the center hinge pin that is vertical from the bottom up and the lower inside bolt that you removed after opening the door. The upper hinge sections both stay on the door. It would be great if you would make a video showing that to people. You also do not need a second person the way I mentioned as the door can't fall off until you walk around it and lift it from the alignment pins.
eric the car guy!
Hey there Charles and Eric 😃 Good luck with your upcoming challenge Charles
+Carsten Langbo thanks man!!
In the dealership world, what would you do if you needed a second hand for something(such as removing a door)? Would you just call the mechanic in the next bay over to help out for a second?
+Daniel Reimer yep. That's why you gotta be nice to your coworkers
eric the strong💪 guy
LOL, I like that he did the heavy lifting. :)
Can you show me how to remove the driver's door electric window switch cluster on an Audi Q7?
More of this please.
+MyFabian94 more coming soon. This is video 3 of about 20 total. Plus I think we are doing more next year. :)
I only wish you would've shown the front door and front fender...lol
It's all good I figured it out.... thanks Charles
On to the rest of the deer strike Jetta👍😎👍
Is the front relatively the same?
@@sethheard6753 similar but the fender is in the way
Humblemechanic, isn't there an easyer way? Atleast i had mark 4 golf, and there was only one small screw that was under top hinge, you remove that and the door comes off, you don't need to realighn hinges afterwards. I'm sure it works for front doors, but cant remember if back had the same system...
Dzintars Veiriņš do you know what size triple square mk4 needs?
Golf
I like how Eric didn't know what to do with the door after removing it LOL
Yeah, I'd prepare a nice bed of foam or something like that beforehand.
+SE45CX yeah that would have been better. I think it ended up resting in the back seat
+TorranceMoreno I think the issues was it was super hot. Hahaha
Yo please tell me or make a video how to put the door back on right I cannot get mine aligned right
Hi i try to remove the front door but i down hade the connector on my golf gti mk4 1998. How do i do ?
it pains me when I hit the salvage yard and find someone has either ripped wires and or cut them! it's not hard to disconnect them
Robert Charlie I I don't need the wires myself then I cut them if its easier.
Ok how about reinstalling that door :)
????
Top hinge... why not just remove the 6mm bolt that lurks underneath? So much simpler than arsing about undoing the 2 main bolts. After that, it's as you were!
Awesome!
hey ETCG.. what up.
How do you remove the front hinges
what Pull A Part u at ? I need those leather seats for my Golf !!
+kidzero1943 this was earlier this year at a Pull A part in Atlanta.
where do I get an ETCG?
LOL
Harbor Freight
you lucky your friend is Eric the car guy!
VERY!
triple square? multi-spline
Phil Purdy it is a 12 point socket.
What about the front door?
the fenders on Volkswagen Golf Mk3 are a pain
The thumbnail is confusing. Rear door pull sounds like the interior handle or something with a hatch. Maybe it's just me.
lol thought I saw Eric on the thumbnail..
+Matt Mccoy hahha
Eric!!!!!!
If I have no success with anything legal I should become a burglar and specialise on VAG vehicles. Radios are easy to remove, doors are easy to remove, everything seems to be easy to remove. XD
HAHA, all easy to remove with the right tools :)
Why my door makes crack sounds?
Gotta live the hinges
Must say I'm disappointed. After watching this I ordered a M8 bit (£21 later!) to swap the rear door on my mkiv golf to get it through the failed MOT to find it's too small and should be an M10! Now I don't have time to get another so that's another £100 for the garage to do it. Not great when I have a new born child to support. Really must be more clear on advice given.
Man I’m sorry. It may be a difference between US and other parts of the world.
@@HumbleMechanic what about the front door they seem more dificult is it the same principle small bit and wratchet
May I use my girlfriend?
