Whitaker Jazz Speaks: David Sanborn - Growing Up In Gaslight Square - Live from Jazz St. Louis

This is a very special Jazz Speaks event as Jazz St. Louis President and CEO Victor Goines interviews David Sanborn! We’ll hear Sanborn’s perspective on the rich cultural and societal elements of the St. Louis jazz scene of the mid-20th century and how those elements informed his development as a musician. An all-star band led by bassist Bob DeBoo will then perform the music associated with Gaslight Square and the St. Louis jazz community.
