Absolutely. “I’d rather not say” is a polite and valid response to someone you don’t know asking personal questions. You can even be firmer and more abrupt than that if they’re really pushing boundaries.
I just say which city or suburb, never give specific details like hotel name or the street name

Props to the ladies in the 3rd story for actually being smart enough not to answer the door, keep all the windows locked and get the hell out of there when they felt in danger. Seems like a lot of these stories could be prevented by simply making sure all doors and windows to the house are locked tight and never to answer the door when you’re not expecting anyone.

Usually when it comes to horror stories told by UA-camrs, like Mr. Nightmare, I always treat them as if they are like NoSleep stories, because I find it hard to believe that these stories actually came from real victims, unless there’s actual proof that it happened. However, these stories are often told in a way that makes them sound realistic and that’s what I actually love about horror stories online. They help educate us on the horrors of the outside world and how to be aware of our surroundings by keeping your doors and windows locked at night. Humans are truly terrifying when we let our guard down.

The last story tho had something moving in the foggy forest it caught me off guard lol
That 2nd story was the most interesting one in my opinion. So relieving to know that intruder got caught and arrested. In alot of these stories the bad guy often ends up escaping by the time police arrive.
In my opinion, the our guy was very naive to tell a 35 year old man his plans and then after calling 911 not informing his friend's sister about this as she was in potential Danger.

@@Apophis.004 you know when people say they’re ‘getting ready for bed’ that usually means they’re in their bathroom probably showering, brushing their teeth, etc.
Since you want to be a smart ass, how do you know she wasn’t doing one of those things mentioned? It’s kinda hard to hear something downstairs when you have running water and are distracted about a different task at hand and not listening to the ambient noises in your home.

I love all the sound effects that you add to your videos. Creaky floors, slamming doors, wind, etc. They’re so well done and give these stories depth, and make them even more enjoyable.

Man his Halloween, Christmas and Thanksgiving themed stories never disappoint! I personally enjoy his horror stories which happen to have taken place during any of these festive seasons where rest of the world is reveling in the vibes and simultaneously some creeps are going out of their way to indulge in something sinister. Loved the first story! So were those couple spirit or something? Or were they some kind of weirdos and lonere who just enjoyed sick prank? Either way it's disturbing and unsettling.

That third story freaked me tf out. Never tell someone where you’re staying. If they’re giving off weird and creepy vibes then try your hardest to be weird and creepy back. Make them think twice about messing with you. Act insane if you have to. Always be aware of your surroundings ladies and gents, they’re some real sickos out there.

The 2nd story really scared the Hell out of me. My friends think I'm paranoid for how adamant I am in regards to keeping doors locked and questioning everything suspicious on my street

It is currently October and it's a good time for a Mr. Nightmare video. And according to these stories, apparently horrific things happen during the spooky month. Also, that Mr Nightmare plush is adorable.
In the last story, they were extra smart and sensible not to open the doors or windows at any cost. They did the right thing by calling 911. Good move

These are the stories that I wish Mr. Ballen steal produced, but he’s more into true crime right now and that’s a disappointment. I’m so glad I found this channel. I’m excited again for story time!
I love listening to Mr. Ballen too he has a very unique way of telling stories. I enjoy true crime as well as allegedly true scary stories but there's something about fantasy horror that just hits different when it's done well you know what you're reading can't possibly be true but it still gives you goosebumps!

@@mintygreen8618 that doesn’t make it special. If he made his videos longer and still uploaded the way he is it wouldn’t be as bad. Yet he uploads small videos and even puts an ad in his videos which makes them shorter. Other creators have started to do 5 stories per video. It’s just reading off a script and putting pictures and sounds to the stories. Adding two stories to the videos shouldn’t be too difficult.

In the last story, for once someone staying in a cabin didn't open the door. Sad they ended up leaving because of the house being surrounded by people. At least the couple got out of there safely. Thank you for the stories and the hard work of setting them up.
