How did this guy even do that? That water looked so real! Somehow he figured out a way to make realistic water in Procreate Dreams like that?!! This is the same artist that did that Gaussion Blur fence drawing too, that I can't wait to see, that was also done in Procreate Dreams! This artist is inspiring me so much that I'm super hyped and I want to animate like crazy right now! It's gonna be a lot of frustration trying to even get close to what he's done, but I'm ready for it!

@@TodorokiKamehame Nope, just 2D animation. Keyframe, frame by frame. And noisefilter on the waves. So all in Procreate Dreams... technically it might count as CGI, but no 3D

Crazy fact: Last year, I had a dream of something extremely similar to the huge creature in this animation. I was in a foggy forest and it was in the distance talking to me in incomprehensible babble.
People say that dreams have meaning and I understand that all too well now that this animation exists. I'm super excited for this app!

Aprox 3 weeks. Procreate + Dreams. Animation in Dreams, painting in Procreate... but you could do it all in Dreams if you want to

Amazing work! As a 3D animator, there is a simple equation I like to use 2D > 3D.

from what i see, the water splashes made once to spread and then they're resized on different angles up and down to show that the water splashing here n there !! well

Hehe, Procreate Dreams is a new animation app. So that is where the Dream word comes in. So this was my idea, but from awake state :-)

Amazing work! Creative use of the brushes, esp for the water spray. At least I *think* that’s how you did it
Thank you :-) The splashes are just spray shapes that scales up and rotates as it comes up and lands down. And several ontop of eachother so you dont so easaly see the single spray shapes.

Yes, in Procreate Dreams. It is a mix of frame by frame and use of the Noise filter :-)
How would I describe this style? I'm using this art style as reference/mood for a sci-fi espionage game project.
Good question. I might be the least capable to describe my own stuff. But maybe Pirates of Carabean meets Bladerunner :-)
@@nikolailockertsen that's a great description actually. But I'm thinking more in terms of the cinematics and effects you've applied combined with the limited color palette. The scene almost entirely relies on silhouettes and gradient to convey meaning and depth.
@@QwertyWasd17 Thanks. Yes, the silouettes are very important. And the mist, rain and lightening helps to amplify that. And I love to create cinematic looks. So film is the main inspiration.

Not really, but you can puppet to a sertain degree with groups in hirarchy and editable ancor-points. The monster in the bg is animated like that
