I’ve had 3 strokes one in 2013 two this year. This last one affected my voice and speech. I feel speech therapy is tougher than my physio to help my walking lol. Who knew talking was so complicated 😂😂😂xx

@@KJSvitko wow, DOC! What an amazing diagnosis! I’m sure the commenter appreciated all your great knowledge & how bout no meats, fresh dairy, high fiber(food for the animals I eat!) this ex 20 years vegan would only recommend: cut ALL SUGARS, including natural sugars, so No fruits, sugars, carbs, vegetables, or boxed or processed foods. Do this for just a couple of weeks to see how your health improves, if not, keep trying to find out what foods are best for you! Have a great day, DOC! 😊🥩🥓🍳🧈🥩😃😉

I was born with a speech issue, talked backwards. Then I had a brain injury 18 yrs later; had a stroke then in 2008. Presently have Esophageal dysphagia and VCD. My daughter with EDS has VCD as well. I know about the straw exercise. My speech is slurred when I’m tired. Had to get a note from my doc saying I’m not a drunk lol
This was a subject I mentioned (in Comments) 3 months ago, when I wasn’t fully aware of the background behind Bob’s condition. Luckily Followers of this channel are kind and pointed me in the right direction, in respect to what Bob has chosen to share. The consensus however was that post-stroke vocal redevelopment was more luck than clinical reconstruction.
Multiple Sclerosis here. I had a new lesion that caused Aphasia. It developed over a few days and I slowly lost speech. After about a week I slowly was regaining the speech every day. It's been about 5 years and I still have moments every day. The hardest thing is controlling my breath.
I had a stroke about 4 weeks ago, and I'm so lucky that it looks like I came out unscathed. The only thing I noticed is once in awhile I'll have a little bit of a tongue twister that I don't think I would've had before.
I have a growth on my right true vocal cord (was removed twice many years ago). It was too small to see with the regular scope thing but was visible with the flashing light stroboscopy. My voice is now high pitched and strained. It sounds whiny, bitchy and generally unpleasant. I hate it. 😢
Yes my mother had many strokes and she had a stroke on her left side now she's just like paralyzed but she can't talk or nothing and I'm trying to figure out how will she ever get her voice back and what do I have to do

My late mother had a right hand stroke. It took a long time but. I understood her. When she became angry she spoke very clearly. It was strange.

I had a VF test regularly because I had to get fed by tube for 3 1/2 mths and I’m still on level one liquids now but normal food 🎉🎉 xx

I've met a lot of stroke victims and never knew loss of voice is an issue..
It depends on where the stroke hits you. I've had 2 cerebellum strokes and have disarthria with my second stroke plus balance issues.
