I think the reason we aren't talking about Hikaru, in turn, also learning about Magnus and his weaknesses, is the implicit concession that Magnus is flat out better chess player. I think hikaru lost some psychological edge after those games where he started to have some complex. But his streaming career has him more sorted now i think. Good for him, that he is in better place now.
Well the obvious question is, while Magnus was figuring out Hikaru's weaknesses, why wasn't Hikaru also figuring out Magnus' weaknesses? The fact that this is not commented on is telling about how dominant Magnus is in modern chess.
Magnus has no obvious weaknesses that you can take advantage of. His weakness may be that he doesn't know every single opening and every single line it can go. That's not much of a weakness, no one knows every opening. Another weakness may be that he can't calculate 50 moves ahead, only 49. It's not like anyone else can calculate the 50th move anyway, so they can't take advantage of it.
I guess Magnus’ only “weakness” is that he doesn’t like being attacked.. the thing is that having the opportunity to attack him is excruciatingly difficult to achieve, and that makes him have barely no weaknesses at all
Hikaru himself said in this podcast that Magnus's strength is that he has no weaknesses. You can exploit Magnus on the opening but he will figure it out eventually

Asian Joe Rogan tell me I'm wrong
Hikaru is terrific player, but his ego writes checks his mind can't cash, it's no insult, Magnus was better is better, and will always be better. Admit it Naka, he made you cry during a game. Magnus is the best yet, someday a greater player prob will emerge but the incredible memory, blazing speed of thought, pattern recognition and gift for the game, not to mention unbelievable will to never stop trying to win or avoid defeat isn't a combination endowed in many and most will never even learn the game.
What the hell are you on about, lol.
Damn bro, did hikaru promote his pawn to a gun to shoot ur family. Chill bruh
You spouted off like a 12 year old lol 🤡
MAGNUS CARLSEN THE GOD OF CHESS 🔥 🔥 🔥

I think Hikaru has wrong thinking here. Why didn't he learn something about Magnus?
magnus has no weakness.... so
You forget Hikaru’s ego, won’t happen
It's like finding out the moon is earth's weakness, all you need to do is get to the moon and you'll have control of the earth.
You can see a weakness but it doesn't mean you can necessarily do anything about it.
"Oh, Usuan Bolt skips a step every 68 stride, I'll use that to my advantage by still running as fast as I can."
