Those two little things you found that you thought were like buttons are boot hooks. They are used to lace up a boot. Instead of using holes for lacing.
That's awesome to start a hunt with a wheatie. It's been forever since I found one. I hunted the creek behind my house and only found pieces of a porcelain pot, pieces of a really old Dr Pepper bottle, and a canteen from 1943. I thought that was neat. Was a foot down. And by that was a military style buckle. So, not a complete bust I guess. Oh......that one you got very much looks like a 1912. Good to see you metal detecting again. 😀
Absolutely! That still sounds like a fun place to hunt, even if you’re not getting many cool metal finds. Yeah it kinda shows up on camera as 1912 but when you get it at the right angle, you can see the 3 pretty clearly. I might have to take some better pics of it. Good luck on your next hunt!
Another nice adventure. You got some real good stick to it. Very determined. I know you will fill those books up. Will wait patiently for your next video.
When you are on or near an old homestead and you find a spot that has a lot of broken glass and metal "cast offs" you are in one of 2 locations on the homestead, either a dump or a privy. All kinds of leather, pottery, kitchenware , even cast iron pots and pans that are damaged or broken were often tossed into the privy that was later filled in when abandoned.
Looks like 1913, you can see the small curve on the bottom, if it was a 1912 the bottom would be flat. Corrosion made the coin corrode, despite being 109 years old, it came out!
Agreed! I actually just recently received a fancy microscope that I’ll be showcasing in a future video and this is the first coin I looked at with it. It’s definitely a 1913 and it shows through clearly when you zoom right in on the date
I came looking to see if someone else had spotted what that was. I recognized it immediately. Reminded me of lacing up my boot in the morning for work.
Hey what’s up quin!love to see you upload again my man! Also got the package from you and I wanna thank you for the extra stuff In there, keep up the good work! Also, can’t wait for hockey to be back for the caps tomorrow, are you watching any red wings?
I am glad to hear that you got your package and enjoyed the extras! Many of the package stuffers I use come from Linda Wallace so you should thank her too! And yes I will be watching the Red Wings this year and am looking forward to it!
No, the school has not gotten back to me yet, but someone who saw the video decided to do their own research and did find the person. I should have an update coming out soon!
Awesome hunt. GoPro works great but if it takes more work with the GoPro and takes you away from hunting "time"... then go back to the old process. Cheers
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah it seems like maybe it’s not for my audience yet because this video isn’t doing too well compared to others. I’m gonna be getting back into coin roll hunting soon here so there might not be too many more detecting videos until next year anyway
Yeah I know I need to get out to more places that aren’t parks, it’s something that I have been trying to do! I’m going to be getting back into coin roll hunting soon here but for next metal detecting season, I will be trying out a lot of new stuff and I’m excited about it!
@QuinsCoins would it be okay if I did something like this series possibly for my channel? I would give you complete credit for the idea and I'll put a couple twists on it so it isn't exactly the same. Thank you!, Pocket Picker
What did you guys think of the GoPro-style hunts? Let me know!
I think that the GoPro was pretty cool.
I would think coins that are that far into the ground would be older. Fun video. 👍
The little buttons you found actually go on shoes and the shoelace hooks around the opening Criss crossing the shoe to tie it
Love that ring on your right middle finger !
Those two little things you found that you thought were like buttons are boot hooks. They are used to lace up a boot. Instead of using holes for lacing.
That makes sense, thank you!
You two guys are So Cool !!
You Rock & Rule Quin !

Long time no see, what a banger of a hunt

Thank you so much Francisca!
Loved this, watching again!!!
Do you & Kevin ever fight with each other ??
It's a snap
Kevin’s not the kid I remember when you first started. Great video as always 👍🇦🇺
Thank you! Awesome find

Whenever you go to a grocery store do you check the coinstar machine for silver coins?
Yep, I check it for all coins! Last time I checked, there was about $0.60 of regular change in there and I put it towards groceries :D
Please bring the series back very soon!
I keep a small spray bottle of water in my pack to rinse off coins I find. Works much better than wiping the coin with a gloved finger.
The glass jars you found remind me of old snuff jars, snuff came in jars and cans.
I like the combination of go pro and phone camera for the close up.
You got a Job Quin where you go to Work ?
Looks like some nice easy soil where you are . Wish Mississippi dirt was that soft ! Lol
Congrats on your finds 👍🏼 Happy Hunting
It depends on where you go, but yeah these hunts were pretty easy going which is always nice! Happy hunting to you too!
Good Evening My Good Bro & Sis Quinn's Coins
Hey Timbo!
You are SOooo Cute Quin !!
Love ya man, love the content, but....the centipede???🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve got a metal detector and wand but not used it them yet. Are you at home hunting? But good time hunting.
No, I’m hunting in local parks and some locations out in the woods currently.

You & Kevin are two cool Cute Guys !!😊
The two clasps are from a work shoe to catch the laces
Makes sense! Thank you for the info!

Did the school get back to you yet on that class ring you found?
No, the school has not gotten back to me yet, but someone who saw the video decided to do their own research and did find the person. I should have an update coming out soon!
👍👍👍👍👍
Looks like a 1912 to me...
I thought so too, but after looking at it for a while, I saw the 13. I will try and get some better pics of it soon and post them somewhere
First one here 😎, How you doing Quinn?
Yep you got it! I'm doing pretty well!

Yup ...1913
Mayne thos will encourage you to hunt away from local parks. More outdoor adventures. Find some rivers, lakes, streams to hunt.
