Can’t wait for the next video. I finished restoring a 2003 RM125 last month, took me forever. I just bought a really ugly 1989 CR125 to restore. Your videos keep me going. Thanks so much!
Loving these old RM builds. Inspirational to me as I am building a 1993 Suzuki RMX250, she’s nearing completion! I love the detail you put into making these bikes, much love and keep them coming 🙏🏼
Never fought about the helical kit good idea i endedup just welding nuts on the backs of mine but i will remember on my next restoration to do this maybe a yamaha tdr 250 next would be nice i never have the patients to put up video's specially as good as you do m8
I prefer paint to powder coat. Paint can be colour matched, repaired, applied at home and is how it was done in the factory. For a restoration, paint is a more accurate representation of the original finish...
I tried using spray cans with hardner on my first 2 builds. It looks just as good as powder coat but it wore and scratched off way too easy. Interested to hear how yours works out.
Horse From Hell the powder coat on both my new Husqvarna bikes began to chip off at 20 hours also and is harder to repair as it tears. I think paint is probably better in this regard as you can repair it easily
I really like your work I only just found your videos. I'm doing a 02 kx250 at the moment nearly finished. I'm thinking because a 93 yz80 is so hard to find me doing newer model into a 93. like a 98 or so.
Ville Väänänen How much do you pay ? I get a full blast and powder coat for £80 in the uk and the finish is excellent. I find powder coating to be bulletproof and we’ve been using them for over 10 years now.
The way you pronounce “Garage” would get you tons of ladies in America. Great work!
You deserve Way more attention for the amount time and effort you put in these videos.

I'm actually a little surprised you didn't go with powder coating, given the amount of attention to detail and precision you execute your builds with.

We’ll see. At least I’ll be able to make touch up repairs easily.
Very true.
You should use a 2k clear coat in a can so it lasts a little longer.
Don’t think I’ve seen 2k in a can here in Australia....
G9Garage that’s surprising.
Nice video
Awsome videos. 👍👍👍 when is the next vid coming out??
Literally finished filming 5min a go!! Now the hard part - editing!
Awsome. Yayyyy.
Very nice man I love your channel. Doesn’t spray paint chip off easily instead of powder coating? Or maybe it’s just a show bike?
I’ve seen powder coat chip off too. The factory painted the frames...
Horse From Hell the powder coat on both my new Husqvarna bikes began to chip off at 20 hours also and is harder to repair as it tears. I think paint is probably better in this regard as you can repair it easily
How has this held up Glen?
Top quality videos
How long between primer, color and clear coats did you wait?
Thanks
Pleas do the coating on the fork it costs 60 euro's here in belgium looks so much more prime
How do you coat the forks?
Quand auront nous une prochaine vidéo :)
Could you make you videos a little longer around the 10 minute mark?
Hey Max, most of my videos are over 10min. It was hard to make this one longer without being boring!
Love these videos, would like to know what Video Editor do you use. Fantastic work, watched these episodes over and over great work!!
Hey I use Final Cut Pro X for editing
hi I seen your 93 yz80 pic on the net and have been wanting to do a restoration on one for a long time. do you have a video of rebuilding the yz80
Hey Paul, I love the '93 YZ80's - one of my favourite bikes! Unfortunately I dont have video of that rebuild though.
