There has to be a balance in my opinion. Raihan, Opal, and Piers's gyms were laughable, dull, and forgettable without any sort of puzzle.

In my opinion having challenges before the fight is a neat idea, but they have to create actual good minigames instead of this garbage.
Like, instead of having that terrible olive thing without any ounce of game design, just have some kind of minigame that you can also repeat later down the line, that is actually fun and all.
Like, reintroduce the contests or the poke-triathlon or the Amie minigames or something like that.

Once when I joined a random picnic in a random union circle, I got a glitch where every pokemon replaced every animation with the sleep one. Easily one of the best moments in sv for me.
