That is fxxxing dope.I just made the transition from the xl to a 1000 a couple months ago.I kept saving my samples but I wasn't getting my beats saved.Tonight I learned how,but the way you have it layed out, wow.I'm going to adopt that. This little machine keeps getting better and better.
Hi , super nice that you made this videos, super much appreciated. I have an Mpc for a long time ....but I never find out how to save the projects in order to load multiple Sequences ....in case I want to do go to the next sequencer. I always save the entire memory in a folder but if try to load them all ...is overwriting. i also save the all the tracks and programs with different name. Thanks in advance
thanks a lot for the info. do you know the difference between saving entire memory and saving entire memory 2 ? i have those two options in my jjos but not shure about which one to use.
hey man thanks for the tips i wanted to know what you would recommand for saving properly in a live set creation context with multiple programs/seqs/sample . Do i need to rewrite everything every time I edit it or is it to risky ? thanks in advance
@@elimencebeats thanks for getting back to me. One last thing, my mpc 1000 with jjosxl screen, consistently freezes upon saving. Sometimes when loading samples and even when I try to copy over samples from my PC, it will do it. I’ve formatted the 32gb memory card in windows and in the MPC, honestly, it’s keeping me away from using it more. Can u help me out with this problem? Any ideas? I convert samples to 44100 16bit, so I’m not sure what is going on.
@@elimencebeats damn… ok thanks for getting back to me again. I checked the pins inside memory card slot, they seem to be in perfect condition. I’ll check the memory card in the morning. I promise you won’t be disappointed! #Facts
Is it possible to move files from one folder to another on the 1000? Or after you've saved a file, it's just stuck there, unless you connect a USB to a computer to move them?
Hey man, cheers for the video. Just purchased a MPC 1000 and have made some beats. I did what you've done in the video but when I go to play the beat that I saved there's no sound. I can see all the samples loaded and its playing but no audio!? Any ideas?
I'm just learning the 1000 as a long time 2KXL user. Love the all project save. But I'm thinking it's a little redundant if I use, say, a 909 kit, that every time I save a track, I'm duplicating that kit. Obviously in the DAW it can continue to reference the same file in the finder unless you permanently modify it or something. But maybe that kind of indexing is just not possible with the mpc, and to be safe it's better to have a bunch of duplicates?
I've searched for this answer before. I havent found a solution for it. I dont mind resaving the kit over and over again because the drum hits arent too taxing on data.
@@elimencebeats Word. Thanks for the response. What I realized yesterday is that instead of making a 909, 808, etc. kit and then loading that up (was using Pad 187 program for Mac which is pretty cool) it makes more sense to just make a folder of those sounds and then load them individually for the new track, a la carte. Perhaps if I made a kit where there was a lot of parameter adjustments that I wanted to reuse, but just to get to starter sounds, it's easier to have them individual then be dealing with a bunch of duplication/purging, even if you're losing that feeling of bringing out that particular full drum machine off the shelf, so to speak.
Btw have you figured out what the max CF card is for JJOS2XL? I have a 4GB now, and I heard stories about bigger sometimes failing, sometimes working (sometimes depending on which card brand/model). I'm considering getting an HDD, but for now..?
Once you loaded the project It said warning this Will clear your entire memory. Does that mean that it has to be saved all over again in order to be put back into the memory or can you just turn It off without worrying about the project being deleted ?
if you turn it off it will load up back to when you saved it last. "clear entire memory" means its going to basically start a blank project on the mpc.
this file organization system gives me butterflies. edit: i actually have a question (my mpc1000 just arrived today) Q: whats the best way to give my girl a clean slate? i would like to backup all the samples on the cards and hard drive, then wipe the whole thing clean so i can import only exactly what i want.
why I appreciate your video you didn't completly explain this, you should have told people how you pre-installed those folder, this would have made this video more accurate...
dcp tracks good point. But they weren’t pre installed. I just hit “new folder” in the MPC and would name it what I wanted. Thanks for the heads up. Def keep it in mind when making the next video about the little details. Much love.
Overall great video I learn more from this then another person who does mpc videos, I was quite disappointed considering that he has a dedicated section to the mpc jjos stuff, yet great video, I premaking my folders because I just got the mpc 1000 and now it's my second mpc, considering I also have the mpc live...
This is DOPE! I just got an mpc1000 with jjos. I was trying to figure this out! Thanks bro!

Thanks for clearing this issue up. I use the 2500 128xl. Crucial information.

Very helpful thank you forreal!
Greetings:
Question, do pre make your file folders? and if so are you creating them on your DAW or MPC 1000?
Thank u for your videos! Been helping me out a lot! How do I start a new song? Like start over? Turn off and back on??
that's essentially what I would do. OR I would save an empty project and load that each time I want to start over.

Bro did you sell the 1000?
I didn't. I just use an MPC live now
How do you delete files?
Nice dude :)
Eventually I might just have to get the big screen too
Totally worth it. Definitely takes the 1000 to another level.
Is that screen removable?
How many gig on your card?
the internal HDD is 64gb.
