Breakfast at it's Best - Possibly the Best Cafe in KENT

- A Fry up breakfast at it's best - and quite possibly the best in Kent. I used to eat breakfast here at The Dalby Cafe in Margate many years ago. I have returned to Kent today to find out if the quality of food is the same as it was.
The answer is an easy YES. In fact it's off the charts.
This breakfast is without question in my top 3 breakfast ever
There is nothing like a greasy spoon breakfast when the food quality is as good as this. Completely off the charts from the bubble, over easy eggs, amazing sausages, fried bread & that fresh bread that leaves your finger prints in because of the freshness.
Just Wow.
With a cheeky tour of Margate showing where only fools and horses was filmed, the Turner Centre, Margate Old Town, The Lido and Dreamland.

Amazing. I remember that cafe! I was in Margate so often in the 80’s, we’d get off the train head to Dalby’s, go back to the front for a walk around and then spend the rest of the day in Bembom Brothers aka Dreamland. Looping Star, the Mary Rose, scenic railway. How we kept those breakfasts down was a miracle! Happy days. Jolly Boys outing is my favourite episode of my favourite comedy of all time. Thanks DJ for bringing back those memories

The couple on the waltzers in the black and white Dreamland photo at 6:00 is my Mum and Dad, circa 1951. Our family, including my parents, didn't know of the photos existence until the summer of 2018 when it appeared on the wall outside Dreamland, just a few short months before my Mum died. I always enjoy your videos.

Great looking breakfast and nice memories of Margate from my home county of Kent. My grandfather operated the old wooden roller coaster there for a couple of years in the 1950s.
I'm a Whitstable boy. Took my daughter down there for breakfast on the back of my motorbike for her 15th birthday. Rodders and Del stopped of at the Roman Galley just outside Herne Bay. There is something special about the British sea side.

Eaten at the Dalby many times - solid greasy spoon, always great experience. Born and bread in Margate, left when I was 19, now 42 still love seeing my home town and can’t wait to take some time out and visit in the near future.

Fantastic video .I remember going to Margate in the 70s as a kid, thanks for the great memories on a Sunday morning.By the way the breakfast looked yummy 😋 and the decor of the cafe was one of the best.Well done.

Food looked great, Margate will always be synonymous with me for that classic episode of Only Fools and Horses you mentioned "Jolly Boys Outing", I never tire of watching it. I hope you do return for that breakfast challenge and take Lee with you!

Summer 21. Working on a job in Margate. Loved everything about it, the sunsets, the sunrises, the pubs and the restaurants, but the Dalby caffe was the crown jewel. Everyday started with a breakfast and a coffee there.
Amazing place
Proper breakfast form a proper cafe, fantastic food top quality ingredients, eggs were perfect the bubble was great in fact everything was spot on. your face said it all Darren you just loved it. 10/10.

A true gourmand with an exceptionally refined palate.
A traditional greasy spoon takes a lot of beating...no frills and quality food washed down by a simple cup of tea or coffee..brilliant or as you say: 'off the charts..'😀👍

Used to holiday in Margate back in the 50's/60's loved it, Dreamland and all the sticky sweet shops, browsing round the junk shops, those were the days. I'll be trying the Dalby if I'm down that way, thanks for the video. cant beat a good brekky.
That looked very nice Darren. When you put the eggs on top of the fried bread I had to get the frying pan out ready for my breakfast in the morning. My only gripe is you needed to mop the plate up at the end with some bread.

I quite agree about the coffee. Nothing wrong with a good old kitchen made milky coffee.
Never been to Margate , been to Leeds castle beautiful place Kent with the moat house's.
