FULL DISCLOSURE: I did not hook up the rear vents.
Have you though about doing the keypad on the door install
I love having the bench seat option. Only reason I would install one of these would be for the rear vents. Wish we could have seen the full install.
ben randall I couldn’t set up the rear vents unless I wanted to cut up my floor which I was not interested in doing
This looks great! I want to do this to mine one day but I would like to hookup the vents as well.
@egoboost73 I saw you mentioned cutting the floor to add vents. What would you actually cut? Just the carpet I assume?

Good job! I just don’t think it’s the most complete video for a console install on UA-cam. I was going to do a video for my install and upload it. Just seemed like to many hoops to jump through from UA-cam. Again thanks for the video!
Looks so much better. I have that same setup (steering column shifter). I think it looks so much cleaner than center console shifter and or front bench seats.

Sorry if the question was asked already. Was there an option to add rear ventilation? Biggest complaint with Ford is no rear AC when you have front third row seating
Did you have to buy special bracket for the the center console or does the original jump seat brackets fit the new console?
I do hope that you can tell us how to do the wiring harness as well.
My truck has the black trim, it's more like dark grey honestly. But I was looking for those pieces because my center console came with the silver trim but for some reason the black trim is WAY more expensive. Like each one of those vent trims for the center console version in the black is like $200.

Rough Country has very good soft Tonneau covers for about $250.
Did you use the same bolts that you took off of the bench seat to install the center console, or did the console you bought come with bolts?

Does hooking up the flow through vents require cutting the carpet? If you don't hook them up, is there still heat directed to the rear through the original vent system, or do you lost that? Very helpful, thanks!

How much did you pay for a center console?
@@minecrafter4623 got mine for $400 shipped. Feel good about it, it was an optioned out console in the colors i wanted in really good condition. It came with the console shifter which i took out. On ETSY someone has a $60 drop in replacement for the shifter hole that gives you a little cubby. I plan on making it a flat wireless charging pad though.

Did you sell your jump seat? I’ve got 2 2019 f150’s. Ones a lariat 4x4 super crew ecoboost the other is a XL 4x4 super crew that’s my daily driver. It’s got the upgraded interior that’s basically a base model XLT but my jump seat a rest doesn’t have a consul only has the one under the jump seat. I’ve been thinking about replacing the jump seat with one that has the consul arm rest
When you change from seat to center console, the seat belt light doesn't stay on?
Thank you for the helpful video. I am thinking of taking on this project for my 2018. I find the folded down jump seat height to be an uncomfortable height to rest my arm. Is the console arm rest any lower in height compared to the jump seat? Thank you.
The console does sit a bit lower so I think it’s more comfortable!

Picked up a rescue from the highway, she badly damaged the upholstery on the center seat you removed in this video. I would so like to replace this in my truck. How did u set your radio up for that setting to have your phone with waze and all those apps nice set up
I believe that’s what Sync 3 does automatically when you plug your USB into your phone....it is really easy and voice commands operate your phone/truck when you do that. That’s what I have found with my 2020
I still have the little screen in my reg cab ford if I got the new vent trim to snap in would I be able get this swap to work with the two USB ports and everything

I just ordered a center console on ebay so trying to get everything I need to do the install, I dont see the SD slot for the SYNC, is it not visible or does it end up just getting covered up?
By SD slot do you mean an SD card slot? Because if so, my kit did not come with one either. I have not needed an SD card slot whatsoever, even after upgrading to an 8inch screen and sync 3

I did not run power to the rear cigarette lighter

Is it doable to go the other way? I need the bench front seat, but I’m having trouble finding the right truck with a bench. Is it possible to swap from the console(without the shifter) to the bench?

I did not. Would’ve been more work that I didn’t feel like doing.
U skipped the most important part, how did you bolt it in? Where are the anchor points? You mentioned the 2 10mm bolts in the back I removed them this console is still securely anchored to the floor, I’m trying to remove mine to remove a stinky rodent nest inside then simply reinstall..

Does your console have the slide box light/storage area light? I hooked mine up, and I have the rear 2 cigarette lighters working but no lights or front cig lighter. Curious if yours are working.

@@bruh-om8ir I know this is grossly late, but you can un-bolt it and buy the part to make it the pocket. You can buy it for around 200 that I have found -- FL3Z-1504567-DA
How do you find the console what do you look up n what year
Hello Egoboost73, I installed my center console yesterday and when I got done my 2021 F250 Tremor does not detect my key fob when I try starting truck. (I have push button start on dash) my truck will not start also on my jump seat has a wire plug toward the passenger side. do I connect that to my new center console,
Yup! Plug in the wires on the passenger side and let me know how it goes!

Does the original brackets work with the new console?
I did not have to purchase any additional brackets if that’s what you’re asking. You do need the vent trim that’ll fit with the console

They vary in prices of consoles obviously, but for MINE, it cost about $900 in total after buying the trim vent pieces, console, and the Sync 3 USB hub
Was looking to update my cloth seats to leather (power, heat, cool). Have you looked into this at all with the console update?
Yes I have a bit but converting to power, heated or cooled seats appears to be quite the task so unfortunately I’ve since halted that search.

Are the heated seats hooked up
joe baker negative ghost rider. I don’t know a way to get them hooked up. You can swap your buttons from the old dash to new dash if you’d like

rolling probable cause Mine aren’t heated either. I just chose to leave the buttons. They don’t effect anything
I wish I paid $50.....after taxes mine was $1400 but it came out of a brand new truck too......
