Great review. My main issue with Creative Fabrica is their site's search and browsing. I hate that when I click on an item to get a closer look (and I don't remember to click "open in a new tab" which happens alot) and then go back to the list of items, I am returned all the way at the beginning of the list. It is so frustrating. I love your you tube, you are a great teacher!
Thanks Jennifer! I have that same pet peeve with Creative Fabrica! And I complained about it when they sent out a user survey. It's VERY hard to navigate and some simple programming could fix it. My opinion of them has changed in the past 2 years but I still pay for a membership for those rare times I want fonts, graphics or embroidery designs.
@@angelamacfarlane54 I'm still using Creative Fabrica and switched to the yearly membership because it's a better value. I don't download much, but I like knowing that I can. I still wish they would change their browsing feature - it's annoying to navigate. But their new AI features alone are worth the price.
Love your videos. I'm new to machine embroidery. Thank you for your channel. Please can you tell me where I can get the spool clip for stacked thread?? Thanks again.
Hi Karen! If you look on Amazon for "thread spool pin" you will find many options. The one I used in the video was a piece from the larger Embroidex thread stand. You can also use this thread director amzn.to/3llCq18 (BTW - that's an amazon affiliate)
I don't have any videos on how to print on fabric but will add it to my list of content ideas for the future. I used to have a popular blog post about it but that was 15 years ago. ( ఠ ͟ʖ ఠ) If you search for "printing on fabric" you should find tutorials by other people. You can buy printable fabric at stores (craft or office supply), or make your own by treating it with a product called "bubble jet set" and then stabilize it with freezer paper to feed better through standard inkjet printers.
I can explain the download process in a video or even a blog post. The problem is...it looks different depending on which internet browser you're using and which operating system (windows, mac, or IOS all work differently). If you need answers quickly - do an internet search for "download embroidery zip XXX" where XXX is your internet browser.
"in the hoop" is a term used when the embroidery machine sews things traditionally done with a sewing machine like seams in bags or dolls. Think of it as robotic sewing but the user needs instructions for each step, same as a sewing pattern. Traditional designs are stitched embellishments put onto things like clothes, hats, bags, towels, etc. It's confusing, because everything on an embroidery machine is done in a hoop 🤔 and I really wish we could change the terminology. Robotic sewing is my preferred term for seams sewn with an embroidery machine 😊
thanks Lucy :D

Do you have a video on what and how you print out the patterned paper and turn it into a usable pattered fabric?

What is difference for in the hoop and just embroidery designs ?
