Summary: Glad that can ride with Nelson in Penang. No need to be alone. We started the RTI in anti clockwise direction at Bayan Baru. Hoping to clear the busy east side of the island early morning before more traffic on the road. Then Late morning for the west side of the island. Overall RTI experience is good, many scenic and intragrammable places. The RTI road condition is good but you need to choose the right timing and direction to avoid heavy traffic especially at the east side of the island...

Np. If you start early morning.. plan clock wise and start from George Town to avoid high traffic at Bayan lepas area

Cyclists who stay on island usually won't ride up the flyover at the Bayan Lepas in the beginning of video. As we all know that cars and bus kilangs drive very fast up there. Also at the end of flyover, many cars turn right in and cars from flyover turn left out in a pretty fast speed. Like you said going clockwise of rounding has less junctions and more enjoyable which I usually do. Anyway good video and thanks for sharing

Ya I think I never see bicycle ride up that flyover before...very narrow ...usually we ride at the bottom .
Very dangerous to cycle in road especially Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu highway, you guys should follow bicycle lane at the queenbay mall straight into karpal drive and then Cecil street (georgetown) more safe
Yes… anti clockwise is dangerous… maybe clockwise better… furthermore first time riding in Penang island… do not know where are the bicycle lanes.
Will be good if you can do a video on how you pack and unpack your bike for the trips.

should use the bicycle lane...and you will be able to see the view under the Penang bridge too. But you won't be able to go in this speed

Bike computer and sensors to capture the data then export to virb video editor

Hi Sam, I would like to check with you if cycling at Highways in Malaysia is permitted. There are lots of mixed reviews and I know that some highways don't allow cycling. Do you have any idea on how I can check?
I am not sure on this. But I will not ride on toll highway..
All tolled highways do not permit cycling except those with motorcycle lanes like KESAS and Guthrie.

I have the wahoo ELEMNT bike computer and sensors include HRM, power, speed and cadence sensors.

Around 5hrs I think including meal, pitstop and photo taking session.
