Same here lol, remember watching this video as a kid and being envious of not being around when these toys came out. Even No with newer Marvel Legends and SH FigureArts and even MAFEX figurines; I still wish I had these ToyBiz Spidey figurines.
Didn't realize how exciting the line was at the time. There was a definite process to the whole thing, though, as in the years leading up to it we were starting to see ball-jointed arms and legs on their lines, etc. Still regret not getting that Man-Spider back in the day =x
Thumbs up, If you in your childhood, had the spiderman in the red base, wow! I cried with this review remembering that great figure! Thanks for the good memories my friend! 💪 🕷 ♥
After watching this video I realised what I got something better than I thought, I actually got that man spider for only a dollar at some old antique store that I went to honestly.
Nah, removable hands are better. With the finger articulation you could never get a normal closed fist or even open hand. Plus the fingers could fall off.
These are the best figures that represent Spiderman. They will stay golden til the end of time. The super poseable aspect is so awesome. These figures went the best in my collection. You have the comic accurate figures and Tobey maguire figures. ThIs will be the best figure collection ever created!!
the black costume Spidey was my first Spider-Man classics toy. I loved it so much cos I always wanted the black suit from the 90s cartoon. But the classic 90s costume suit was like one of my favourite all round TOYS ever as well as my fav spider-man toy. It was just...it WAS Spider-Man
This is an amazing review, i never see someone before do a review of a wave of Spider-Man Classics, even in 2020, really, I've been looking xd. Please, you have to do a video of the wave 2 of Spider-Man Classics!
@connextro Sorry, lol. My edgy ego with the "less grammar" took over place - also, I'm aware of it now, and always use the form "Spider-Man" but that was a year ago after all.
Man,I remember when I first found this and your history of tmnt figure history video and to this day I still find those two videos to be my favorite(you have great vids but those two are my favorite).
woohh...awesome review man, ill dare tto say that is the best spiderman review i ever seen and i really like to watch reviews all the time...you got style man...congrats.
seems like no one realizes this articulation actually started in the old 90s ones.....there was a figure called "super poseable spider-man", I always like the villains and the x-men line more, but he remained a favirote because of that.
Toy Biz did an outstanding job with this Legends line-up of figures. Doctor Octopus, Nightcrawler, Professor X, Blade, Hulk, and Captain America. I also was lucky enough to actually acquire the Galactus BAF & The Apocalypse. Sadly I missed out on the Sentinel BAF, the one I wanted the most. Well this is a GREAT VIDEO! Awesome figures, and great reviews of them!
This was the first pixel dan vid I watched and instantly became a 6 year old toy geek, and yes I do own Spiderman classics but only McFarland Spiderman with the red spidey base and ManSpider loose
My aunt got me two Spidermen: The Black suit and the Original (90s version) when I was 5. One of the awesome moments during the early 2000s. But the original is now gone and i only still got the Black.
the first ones that came out with the kung-fu grip. You can tell the old ones, they have one of their thumbnails printed on the wrong side of the thumb. My dad had some from his childhood he passed down, and the rest i got as collectables. The old ones were sturdy too, so I didnt break them as a kid, unlike those newer ones with lower quality plastic
M Hall absolutely. i had some badass toys growing up, without a doubt. i even had some of those gi joe cars, all probably in my parents garage now. it was awesome back in the day tho
I went to the Netherlands (near Amsterdam) for a trip and we stayed at a beach apartment for rent and they had a nice little town that was part of the whole area. There they had a European toy chain store called "Bart-Smit" which recently closed down there. Anyways when I was about 8 years old they had some of these spider man classics figure there and I was able to get the tail-strike scorpion. Honestly, it really was my favorite toy with the amount of articulation and detail and love of spider man, they really were great toys.
The best toys I can remember off the top of my head was the Justice League action figures they were 100 percent accurate to their cartoon representations.
I am SO happy I grew up around these toys and golden age Marvel Legends throughout the early and mid 2000’s just almost before the 2010’s and got the classic red and blue Spidey which was my favorite childhood toy and I cherished it until the right arm broke off and I had to give it away. I did get the figure again off eBay fortunately as a Christmas gift in maybe 2017-18. I have him in the box still and in my room on my wall. I ran across the figure again in a collectible shop when I traveled back to my hometown, but I didn’t buy him cause “eh I already have it” and bought a more recent Marvel Legends Symbiote Spider-man. But MAN do I regret not buying that one now. Because I would’ve had one to open and display, and one to keep mint in the box. Cause now I’m really missing my childhood toy 😭 but if I can’t find him in that shop again next time I revisit my hometown for Spring Break, there’s always eBay.
Sigh, I remember seeing these in stores. I got to pick out, like, 5 after a surgery when I was little. Unfortunately my mom threw away the comics, though. -.- Still kinda wish they had a line with exclusively Spider-Man characters in the style of Marvel Legends.
Hmm...I never realized how the line made other toy companies produce figures with more articulation and detail 'til now. Hell, if it weren't for the Spider-Man Classics line, the only leg articulation Transformers would have is to sit back down for their vehicle mode as opposed to dynamic action poses you can make with them today.
I used to have the 2002 version of this action figure toy line in the Classic Spider-Man action figure, but his shoulder broke and then I eventually lost it. But earlier today, I ordered the Symbiote Spider-Man action figure that is in this video on eBay, so I am redeeming myself, as I also would like to get everyone else in this video.
Wouldn’t it be cool if hasbro did this again with the retro Spider-Man line on the renew your vows body and the special bodies like 2099, Venom, Daredevil, Ben Reilly, Scarlet Spider, Battle Damaged And Even The New Animated Series Peter Parker
I came back just to remember the nostalgia I got watching these as a kid
Same😂

@@SupaSoba I'm here right now because of nostalgia from this video
I have come back 10 years later just to watch this video
This is a great review; I don't understand why somebody would give it a thumbs down :-/
Toybiz is the best
U guys are soo right
Ikr?
cuz they are jealos that they have no
toybiz action
figures
Hasbro > Toy Biz. Sorry. It's just my opinion.
I wish they would start the spider man classics again.
Noah 23 right me to
Noah 23 at least we have marvel legends
@XxderppoolxX roblox superhero NO!HASBROS MARVEL LEGENDS IS GARBAGE!TOYBIZ DID BETTER WITH IT AND SPIDER MAN CLASSICS WAS THE LEAD TO IT!
@@pubgstillspeak8616 the early hasbro marvel legends sucked they got ok from there
Yeah MARVEL LEDGENDS sucks no comics so yah hes right
I wish figure companies would include comic books with their figure agian😕

This video got me into collecting. Started with this Spider-Man line and now I have 300+ figures and counting 😅
It's been 5 years!
do a history of Toy Biz Marvel Legends!
Thumbs up, If you in your childhood, had the spiderman in the red base, wow! I cried with this review remembering that great figure!
Thanks for the good memories my friend! 💪 🕷 ♥
I was so blessed with these when I was young :) loved seeing them all in a video
I had EVERY single one of these when i was 6 years old........
This video was released 8 years ago? Man, I watched this when I was 4! And now I'm still watching some of your new videos!
After watching this video I realised what I got something better than I thought, I actually got that man spider for only a dollar at some old antique store that I went to honestly.
we should do a petition to bring back finger articulations
Nah, removable hands are better. With the finger articulation you could never get a normal closed fist or even open hand. Plus the fingers could fall off.
I have vivid memories of the time I watched this exact video as a very, very young kid.
One day, my kid’s going to watch this video too 😼
9:43 black suit spidey falls down. watch closley. lol

I’m back and I’ve personally changed. Mafex is the best by far but Spider-Man classics are still classic.
the black costume Spidey was my first Spider-Man classics toy. I loved it so much cos I always wanted the black suit from the 90s cartoon. But the classic 90s costume suit was like one of my favourite all round TOYS ever as well as my fav spider-man toy. It was just...it WAS Spider-Man

connextro imagine getting mad over that
Make the marvel legends vid!!!
We all know that's coming. Pixel will do it for sure :)
Damn I remember watching this vid when I was 5 and now I’m 14 this is crazy I always wanted those figures

Spider man classics started it all, and set the extremely high expectations of articulation...

i got the hole set for my 8th bday
Your lucky asf are you willing to sell it?
for that scarlet spiderman it looks like they accidently switched the finished product for the kitbash prototype before they started production.
yea
Probably not an accident, maybe budget issues

Great Review Dan. I only own one SpiderMan Classic figure but it's my favorite Spiderman 2099
Wow!!! Very cool vid and round up! Subscribed!!! :-)
That man-spider looks pretty cool.
I miss the old marvel legends series 1 2 3 4 and they came with comic book

I remember whatcha g this when I was 8 good times
good thing i still have these...
I have this Spider-Man and it is so far my favorite out of all the other out there. It's based on the Spider-Man drawn by Todd McFarlane.
I legit though this was a commercial 😂😂

Great
Nathaniel Guzman i love that figure still trying to get a hold of it
I miss that new toy smell.
I used to collect them just for the comic book and I still have them
Fond example of what makes Spidey so awesome. He stared Marvel Legends for crying out loud!
the battle ravage Spiderman figure would be a perfect base for a custom Zombie Spiderman from Marvel Zombies
I was four years old when I got the Spiderman toys
I'm starting a new collection.
these figures are super detailed but know you can only find these on internet
9:43 he falls. :-)
Love this particular video
One of my favorite toy lines
I am right there with ya Dan. I love Scarlet Spider!
Marvel Legends Inspired me to Collect toys! :)
I'm getting two of these toys soon
My grandma has an old toy box and she had the whole dino series on it.
I had the black costume one on my 8th birthday in 2001

very nice spiderman figures

The scarlet spider is my favorite version of spidey so it’s nice toy biz gave him a figure
How many other toy companies followed the same scale as Toy Biz did in the 90's?
I’ve never seen a man spider figure since, Marvel Legends used to be so creative.
man i miss toy biz
