  • Wajarri and Tarcoola used to call the Port of Geraldton home, but have been recently been warmly welcomed to Far North Queensland and Svitzer Australia’s operations in Cairns.
The introduction of the pair of 28-metre tractor tugs to the port of Cairns underpins Svitzer’s commitment to the region, will help to improve efficiency and flexibility, and doubles our firefighting support capability in the port.
By relocating assets nationally, Svitzer Australia can improve its fleet in various ports and better meet operational requirements regionally. Most importantly, this gives Svitzer the ability to serve our customers better and meet our local port needs while utilising our assets to their potential.
Watch this great clip as they assist Maersk Corsica. Read more at svitzer.com.au/wajarri-tarcoola
