I've had mine for 4 years now. It's the best laptop i've owned. I use a cooling pad with it. It helps. At home, i connect it to my tv screen for better quality video.
I just got this computer, it has I7 and windows 11 that was installed by the place I got it from, works fine, I had all the drivers updated from the dell site no issues, it says on the dell website this computer isn't compatible with windows11 REALLY, because all the windows 11 updates installed fine to, so we'll see down the road,if windows 11 isn't compatble with an I7 they better recall it and fix it, because you'll put Millions of computers out of action..
Hi, thank you very much for this very useful review. Thanks to you I'm about to purchase a couple for business purpose. But before doing so I've got 3 questions: did you try to plug it in a docking station? Do you know which docking station is compatible with this model (I have some contradictory information on the web)? Can we plug 2 external monitors to it (for obvious better productivity)?
The part where you were talking about youtube playback, I have a low powered dual core M processor in a Yoga Pro 3 on some Linux distros I can get the processor down to around 20% in 720p is there any way I can change something to lower the processor usage? using browser codecs etc? I am using lubuntu currently and it is running pretty well but on other distros even with just XFCE it can send the processor to almost 100% on videos at 720p 60fps the screen is like 4k or something it can get nowhere near that it used to handle youtube a lot better.
apparently there are some noise issues with the fans being active and loud more often than they should. I havent tried yet but I fear this may interfere with recording if using a mic
@@NickjK2803 I've had mine for 4 years and don't always experience the fan noise unless it's hot and it's been running hard for hours, and i do record audio with it.
I don't think this has an NVIDIA option. If it doesn't then it wouldn't be good for gaming. However it's a 12.5" so it's a very small screen for gaming anyway. You want 15.6" or 14" minimum for gaming with a dedicated graphics card.
@@capableloop82 get the i5 if it's at least $20 cheaper. Right now you can get the i7 with the 720p panel for about $250-270 used. So pay no more than $230 for the i5. Is the i5 (or any of the 7250s) worth getting - yes, especially if you plan to carry a laptop with you everyday. This handles normal daily activities and some computationally intensive ones as well, while being compact. As long as you don't try to game on it, it'll be great. For movies, web browsing, office work and school work, it's fantastic.

No. But I heard it utilizes Romulan

Does it support games

Thanks for detailed review and explanation on the CPU! Yoda best!
You cannot upgrade or downgrade the processor in the dell latitude E7250. It is integrated into the motherboard.
Nice review. Has DELL produced a n edge model wherein the bezel is much narrower, and same size model?

For 4k you're going to need hardware decode, so you have to see whether your CPU supports that. You can check Intel documentation.
I'm not much of a steam guy, but emulation should be fine, right?
Can get this with full HD touchscreen with the i7 and an SSD. Worth it as daily driver for 350 euros?
i got same for like 220 i think
Yes, it's worth even more than that amount.
Would you recommend this for light to med gaming?
nope, unless you want to turn your setting to the bare minimum and hearing it sound like a vacuum cleaner

Not fast enough to encode 1080p with x264 but maybe through hardware, like Intel Quicksync.
