The whole point of Uncle Howdy was for Bray to tell a story his way, cutting out the WWE creative. & the only person he trusted with this story was his brother.
Taylor Rotunda, aka Bo Dallas aka Uncle Howdy, was involved in the story with his brother since they started teasing the White Rabbit stuff and they were in touch even while Bray Wyatt was out. I'm sure he knows where Windham wanted to take the story, he's surely talked to HHH and whoever was co-writing the storyline and everyone in the faction is on the same page. In universe, they are a band of misfits brought together by the spirit of Bray Wyatt and by Uncle Howdy, there's an entire story arc there they can explore with vignettes. I think it'll be very interesting but they need to find a target right away, they need to start having matches right away and look dominant and they need a few rivalries
Let me answer this. "If you couldn't get this over with Bray then why do this"? Simple Vince isnt there to F it up. HHH is a gen Xer. He would approach it from different angles, not to mention listening to the fans. So that alone gives him a way better chance to get the W now.
I think it was more Vince thing and booking. Whatever Vince was trying to do with Bray hurt him and his runs.. Since HHH is in charge, I'm hoping things will turn out differently and maybe Bo will have a chance to show his skills while doing honor to his brother's character. H historically has not been good dealing with gimmick/characters. He's good at dealing with vanilla darlings. I'm afraid that....even If it's good, smarks might go against it because they treat Wrestling like it's a real sport. But they ignore the fakeness of bad mic skills and gymnastics style wrestling. After HHH tookover and pandering to hardcore audiences I've been hearing people say things like "We don't want gimmicks"
yep. i was thinking the same thing. those could be done through vignettes and maybe an appearance here and there and once he is full overcome, howdy debuts with the family. i mean, they could even do something with the fiend mask and somehow work Bo into putting it on or something like that and over time, just by putting it on once, he became possessed and is now taken over and becomes Uncle Howdy
The thing is we, the fans, wanted uncle howdy back in Honor of Wyatt, not only that. Because we loved the character. The fact they have the Wyatt sixx basically taking out the "bullies" in WWE just makes it even better. Bo Dallas will be great. He's worked so hard on this character for Wyatt, who was closer to Wyatt than most of us.
I'm sorry, but if WWE can get two members of 3MB over a couple years later with the WWE universe - I'm sure they can find a way with Bo Dallas. There are guys who were jobbers and perpetual mid-carders 10 years ago who are now main event players. WWE Creative may still get it wrong, but it won't be as bad as during the Vince Era misses were.
The narrative that fiend was a flop, is ridiculous. Yes he lost matches. He lost them but pushed his opponents to the dark side. That was him. He forced people and changed people with his encounters, bringing out the fiend in his opponents. All can hurt or heal. Seth lost his mind. Cena went dark for that Wrestlemania match. Roman became a heel. The biggest. Orton hears voices anyway. The point of the fiend was holding a mirror to his opponents. So pinning 123, is childish to that. Anybody who can't see that, just get a replica belt and wait in line to get a kiss from Cody.
I think bringing the fiend back into it could be great. Bring Bo back as a dark version of himself... taking up Bray's mantle, to lead the fireflies and the Wyatt family... but things start to happen, lights out... etc. Then when they're doing something in the ring now... suddenly it blacks out and the fiend appears in a random place in the arena... stalking bo... getting into his head, and driving him crazy... then starting to interfere in their matches, attack bo and the family... have a whole mind games thing going back and forth between Bo/Howdy and The Fiend, silent, ever present, scary... Until finally it runs its course and you blow it off with Bo/The Fiend in Hell in a cell... finally revealing who is impersonating the fiend. I think it could be good, and actually sounds kinda like a Russo storyline to me lol.
But bo dallas was a main eventer in nxt,he was the champ there,it's just vince that made him into a comedy act in the main roster,drew,jinder,miz,kofi and big e all comedy gimmick but became wwe champion,not even the world heavyweight champion but the main wwe champion so uncle howdy can be a main eventer in the main roster too,IT COULD WORK
You guys might be 100% right. They already botched it by not having Braun return with Rowan and Howdy. He looked like his old self when they hotshotted his return on Raw. The reasons that so many of these story lines sucked is because Vince McMahon was always trying to put an occult symbolism twist on everything, but most ordinary fans don't understand the Deeper meanings or the agendas behind them .

Bo Dallas could EASILY do a character like Uncle Howdy in his sleep. He is great at character work and is good on the mic. In fact I wished he would have interacted with LA Knight given that Bray MADE with Knight and he was the last opponant that Bray faced. He could attack him with vengrance in his heart. He should have attacked Knight in his title match against Roman.
There is NO WAY anybody else could be The Fiend. Sorry Vince. That's a hell of a bad idea. The reason being is that even though Bray wasn't revealed to be The Fiend, we all bought into the fact that it was one of his alter egos. We all knew it was Bray regardless. The story he built up swept us all up into that moment of Bray having this much more evil second persona. Now Windham Rotunda is no longer with us how can we have a new Fiend? It WILL NOT work. Bo Dallas was never shwn to be Uncle Howdy but again we all knew it would be, and now we are talking about Bo being Howdy again! My issue with Uncle Howdy was that he just didn't appear to be a force to be reckoned with like Bray/The Fiend was. Is height and look just seemed too comical.... BUT a new look might work better. They need to really really perfect this for it to work out. Do not rush, do not have him go for the title, just have him creep out the WWE for a while and attack people here and there. They could even continue the Firefly Fun House but with Bo as the new presenter. His charisma needs to be top notch though. It is a dangerous route to take because it's blurring the lines of reality and kayfabe with us all KNOWING that Bray Wyatt (Windham) isn't really here anymore.
