At last, that's the heavy exotics done! I find these to be much more of a mixed bag than the kinetic and energy exotics; pretty much anything that isn't wildly popular and META-defining tends to be completely neglected and forgotten, there's very little in between for these. Nonetheless, I hope you have enjoyed the video, and I'm very grateful for your attention.
Also! I am streaming tomorrow Sunday the 8th at 1pm PST right here on this UA-cam channel where due to strangely popular request, we will be ranking Destiny characters by how much they f*ck. Yes, I am aware that is a dumb topic, but because I have brainrot from playing Destiny it sounds mildly funny.
Check the description for linked shorts to any missing heavy exotics, as well as the videos about kinetic and energy exotics.
For darci players you should've said that we also wish bungie to make the weapon talk PLEASE
you should of mentioned that ghallarhorn isn't pronounced with a G, its actually pronounced with a Y
Iv got a vid idea for ya what your favorite subclass says about you
what your favorite destiny exotic says about you, but for each class (hunter, warlock, titan)
i use tarrabah instead because i can auto fire it too
let's face it, leviathan's breath shoots entire fridges
It’s the d2 equivalent to those fuckers in dark souls that shoot straight up car axles at you in Anor Londo
Well, it does fire tungsten or whatever bolts with the force of a meteor. That's why it literally rips apart things that are standing near its impact
ngl it’s literally the only reason i want beyond light, just because of my pure hatred of unstoppables
@kurtcobainsmicrophone237 yea this thing absolutely melts unstoppables. It can two shot most of them not to mention the fact the poison wave will kill all the ads around it is nice too. It's honestly superior most rocket launchers. Each arrow does about as much damage as a rocket launcher and you can probably fire it faster than you can most rocket launchers too since they take forever to reload. Not to mention it has twice the ammo capacity. It's main downside is you can't use it on ads cause they don't have enough health to trigger the poison explosion but who wastes heavy ammo on ads anyways?
Nah, it shoots an entire island
"You might be one of the few people who haven't abandoned Gambit. In which case you should seek professional help"
Me and my 7 times gilded Dredgen title feel insulted.... but you right
never seen someone who didnt call the two-tailed fox a weeb weapon, nice to see that other people appreciate its design and the adorable fox too
It's a good rocket launcher. I'm just waiting for the Lightdall buffs.
Bro it’s very op in legend or higher activities because it covers void and solar shields as well as dps, that thing is comparable to gjhallarhorn
Why should it be for weebs? This is not even Japanese 👀
I like homing rockets and the damage is nice!
Weeb
Having Tractor Canon as my favorite, I can say this video is 100% accurate.
To this day I am trying to figure that thing out... As in how close I need to get for it to be effective.
@@duskbringer4583anywhere from 8 miles to inside their ass.
there is no inbetween
Not bad, try tractor cannon then glacier nade shatter on THAVIKS back n forth and he won't be able to stand.
I'm annoyed they nerfed 1-2 punch again.
Oh well back fusion rifles.
Haven't started the video yet and i dread to see what's been said about us, will keep you posted.
I like deathbringer for the lore implication of firing the death song out of a rocket launcher
deathbringer does major damage if you buff it right and are good at setting the range. I use this almost all the time.
someone described it as "savathun could sing a song so cringey it caused cardiac arrest. we got the song sheet and remixed it. now it's a rocket launcher. i think." and i love it
I'm glad you completed the trilogy. Time for armor!
Whisper user here:
while i know the history of whisper, i'm a new whisper user because taken stuff look cool and my thought process has essentially been "if I can deal about as much damage as LFRs with this thing, why bother using another exotic?"
the second part is correct either way though, it needs to shine again.
Same here, great sound and visual design. I almost like having my niche tho, not too popular but usable
Lament enjoyer here, that was spot on! Flying enemies like servitors can be frustrating, but i must admit i giggle everytime it launches me into a wall at mach 10.
Not me on gambig flying at mac 10 towards the enemy 0.5 seconds after invading.
No seriously, clobbering thing to death really called le out ther
I still think Whisper of the Worm could use some kind of buff by giving it scorch stacks per shot, that'd allow it to do more damage and potentially be in some kind of solar build. It wouldn't need to be powerful, just something besides giving it increased airborne effectiveness
It should be unnerfed
@@assassinenzo1373 no its such a boring meta when ur forced to only use one gun in one spot bruh, thats why it was just as bad as linears are rn, hotswap metas requires more skill and are more fun to do
@@Sasuke-jk8yjSo buff other weapons. Reach had this problem. Same with D2 Y1. Nerf one gun, another meta takes its place. So that gets nerfed too. Endless loop.
People are lazy. They will find the path of least resistance. That means what does the most amount of damage for the least amount of effort.
@@BungieStudios path of least resistance... I use that for dps with voltshot and anarchy
Sleeper Simulant was 100% spot on no matter how much it hurt
I can't help but agree 😭
Same lol
God damn you didn't have to hit the nail that hard. The whisper one as a whisper of the worm heavy exotic lover you are completely right. Still didn't have to swing for the bushes.
you were spot on with Queenbreakers Bow (I still call it by this since I DID get queenbreakers from prison) god i hope it gets reworked. Also i hoped you'd mention that we were upset to realize that Queenbreakers Bow wasn't a special in destiny 2 when Arbalest exists.
LITERALLY THOUGH
Bungie is reworking it along with a bunch of other exotics.
And Lorentz Driver
I miss that fallen pistol handcannon from d1
I love Worldline Zero. (Blink Hunter)
The Temporal strike has crazy range & can net easy doulbe or triple kills. People also forget it has the adaptive frame uppercut when not springting or when below full energy. Basically like having a vortex frame with extra heavy attack range & an adaptive frame sword rolled into one.
Just want to say as a true believer in William the Worm, worm go big boom is the primary use and forgetting that he is a nuke in tube and using him as a shotgun is his only downside…
Who cares about danger close when you can have big boom
Sacrifice life for big boom
“What your Destiny 2 seal says about you.”
They’ve actually confirmed that queenbreaker is one of the 30 or so exotics next season getting reworked
those reworks have already happened man. they were so underwhelming. whisper got +80 airborne effectiveness
@@achilles3078 that was not all of the reworks
@Achilles they literally confirmed in recent twab that it and a few other exotics are getting their "verbs" completely changed
+1 airborne effectiveness
No one will use queen breaker
Absolutely nailed it with Heir Apparent, also bonus points for it sharing its name with an Opeth song, but that probably only matters to me 🙃
Mostly me for Heir Apparent. Never gave Heavy much thought when spinning up the gun, though. I just wanted a Colossus-style rotary cannon for the longest time.
Dares gave such the perfect place for it too, because with the Dares heavy ammo recharge, and Titan's exotic reloading it, you basically never have to reload. It just GOES. And the shield makes it almost unstoppable. Heavy may not be the wrong comparison, because with an Heir Apparent you just mow down entire swaths of enemies that even Gjallarhorn can have troubles matching.
Yes, I'm a Titan main, and yes, sometimes I do end up laughing like a crazy man while it shoots.
@@n147258noahNow if only I could run Sweet Business as well… DAKA with a side of daka
Gjallarhorn was surprisingly wholesome. I really enjoyed the series.
5:28 I love this because of the beeps and boops it makes when shouldering it. Also being Japanese, I hold anything Kitsune related near and dear.
Prospector Instructions: Equip Prospector and Nightstalker subclass. Play Gambit. Invade. Go invisible, then 3 seconds before being sent back plant 8 grenades in a circle around the enemy bank. Get pulled back to your side and wait for the fun to start.
They're gonna have to glue you back together! IN HELL!
Thank you for these videos because they were very fun to watch!
Also for us Lament users, we refuse to take it off in any low to mid tier activity and will use it on any champion regardless of whether they’re stunned or not. It’s a race to see whether the unstoppable ogre dies or we do
Ha ha, I appreciate the effort you've put into the writing for this. Always refreshing to come at something from a different angle 👍.
I have always been a Whisper of the Worm fan and you are really spot on. Though I came in around the middle to end of Season of the Hunt. I'm just hoping for a good buff so then I can actually experience what it was like in it's prime and also so then I can viable use it in any activity. Because it looks and feels really awesome to use.
Bungo: "80 AE go brrrrrrrt"
Thunderlord was spot on 🤣. I'm still a newish player so it was the first exotic I got & unlocked the catalyst for so on top of everything else it holds a special place in my titan heart. And while I don't use as much as when I first got it because I'm a solar titan that runs monte carlo, it never goes into my vault & I use it anytime it is warranted.
Honestly, your description for the Gjallahorn speaks volumes and from my perspective. Despite the ups and downs the games have done over the years, I still enjoy it for what it is and just have fun with it as a whole. From back then to now and to the foreseeable future, it will always have a place in my memories.
Waiting for the Catalyst for over 2 years for Thunderlord, and now it's here, yea, the vid is accurate, do not stop firing until the only thing left in front of you is the smouldering ashes of electrified enemies.
You missed something on the colony, it used to be able to kill almost every immune enemy with examples being any white shielded vex in GoS or VoG, Taniks, basically anything with a health bar but can't be damage right away
Crap I forgot about that, I remember now it being used for boss cheese or just blowing up your friends.
I main PvP Black Talon (alt Thunderlord) and you nailed me XD
I have legit said “well, I have a free exotic slot; might as well put Black Talon on”
It’s ammo efficient, insta-kills up close without self-damage, and reliably kills at range in a super sick way.
Plus, I used to play Star Warfare, which has a similar ranged sword I loved to use.
I keep wanting to use it since its a shooter blade, but there's always some other bounty or catalyst to fill first and I can't justify slotting it.
It's fun, though. Loved working with it to fill the catalyst. So many bugs died on ketchcrash raids so fast. Sweet memories.
The Lament is on point, kinda disappointed that you didn't make a warhammer 40k joke tho.
Loved using worldline zero but then the eager edge came out and unfortunately you’re right, it does do better and doesn’t take up an exotic slot
This video made me realise how rarely heavy exotics are uses compared to D1. Tbf you don't need an exotic heavy when a legendary linear fusion will work much better than most heavy exotics for DPS.
Still miss the exotic swords though, Dark Drinker will forever hold a special place in my heart.
For DARCI, I've actually always been a big fan of it, especially during SotP and Eater of Worlds. I just really need it to get a more serious buff and it'll be my main again
Leviathan breath on acr with reload aspects. This dose insane deeps and is being slept on, and you stun lock bosses in the process.
If you get 3 crits it reduces draw time to 550 ms which is on par with rapid fire fusions charge time.
yeah i just cant get my fingers off that whispers of the worm. it was such a fun time we all had when it was discovered.
such a legend
Prospector mains had their one glorious run when there was that one variation of riven cheese. You know, before she was killed by a single hammer, a wrist knife, 6 beyblades, and whatever other torture methods people invented
Fun video just like the other two entries!
some of these made me absolutely howl. I love them
This video is 10% Gjallarhorn, 5% meme guns, 15% heavy machine guns, and 70% depression from realizing how many weapons bungie has forgotten about
You couldn't be more spot on with sleeper and Whisper
you were spot on with the two tailed fox
I'll always come back to World Line Zero bc it lets me teleport. As a warlock this is actually useful as a storm caller bc I can blink with my melee and do a lot of crowd damage. And blink with my sword to cause crowd damage. Sword ammo runs out, I can just switch to my melee.
What a banger series
I remember salvations grip as a tool to reach of limit places and the ocasional tool to reach back to an area to guide new lights throu a strike ( especially the fallen saber strike on cosmodrome )
*Insert SoundSmith reference here*
Chunky edition
You hit the nail right on the head, as a Prospector, Two-Tailed Fox user.... yes.
*stares distantly* whisper of the worm is too accurate
After going through all 3 it feels nostalgic getting all of these exotics forever ago. You got Ace of Spades and Vex Mythoclast right Grand Overature was definitely right
The now craft-able sword from the DSC raid is a pretty good choice over Worldine Zero. With Vorpal, other craftable perks, and the Irvin trait that grants ability energy with each killing blow, the sword has some good potential for crafting.
You sound good. Good job!
There is also a second type of Thunderlord user who uses it to cheese gambit invades do to the sheer amount of heavy ammo and and basically turn it into the Lorenz Driver of gambit.
Why use Thunderlord when a legendary LMG works way better? Every invade, I always pack a Terminus Horizon
@@SSD_Penumbra pretty much any lmg works it's just that I tend to see Thunderlord used alot for the extra arc damage on hit.
I am a fan of eyes because of the satisfaction and the law being that it is literally a peace of artillery.
Other heavy’s that I like are colony cus of the exact reason u mentioned, also it’s bug gun, parasite is bug gun as well so that’s a hit to.
my favorite exotic heavy was super good advice cause if you were good, you were a monster with it
I love black talon and use it a lot more than maybe I should but it’s just fun to use
Fs in the chat for my fellow Two-Tailed Fox users
two-tailed was my first exotic rocket launcher and i almost never took it off
really hoping its catalyst does something cool though if it gets one
You should 100% make a destiny 1 exotic video as well!
This brought me back, I remember leaving the game right after the darkness ate half the system, when I left my favorite exotic was the pistol you had to grind gambit for, close second was of course the ace of spades
Malfeasance
Damn you have nailed the weapon it's damaged and the users. Brilliant
The heir apparent is 100% correct. Once I got the cati and got hit by a drop pod and didn't die it was game over for anything else in my heavy slot
Imma need this power (as a xenophage main)
As a whisper lover, I can say it is not like vicks being rubbed into my wounds, but into the wounds of linear users when I keep up with them, and have much more ammo on the ground and to use in my weapon
I swear linear users are so annoying. "why are you using whisper for taniks just use taipan" 🙄🙄
"You like planting raid banners in the middle of the sky-"
I feel so called out...
Ok Worldline Zero's teleport was the thing that got me Malfeasance. Absolutely hilarious for gambit invasions.
I actually love using eyes in crucible as it’s an easy 3-4 kills, on top it’s actually very underrated when it comes to damage and ad clearing in pve
Two-Tailed Fox is one of the hardest hitting rockets in the game and pairs well with Gjally... and I think its potential will be even better in Lightfall with the incoming buffs (ie, interacting with 3.0 verbs).
Two-tailed doesn’t benefit from Gjallarhorn though?
This comment aged well
Worldline Zero does catch people off guard when doing the blink
I personally like Sleeper Simulant because until the Anniversary update brought in all the Halo weapons it was the closest thing we had to a Halo weapon aside from Telesto, that being that it’s an almost perfect match to the Spartan laser from Halo
You got me perfectly with Heir Apparent. I really should make that Titan build lol
The lament makes my hunter look small when I wield the sword for stuff. Whenever I have it out, it reminds me of monster hunter world with the monster hunters wielding a great sword by which it looks so outrageous by the weight and huge size of those great swords when one wields one.
As a frequent PvP heir apparent user, I can confirm this is 100% correct. (There's also a very good chance you play Gambit, myself included)
Queenbreaker’s Vow is my personal favorite. I’ve always been a big fan of Gjallarhorn, but the aesthetic of the weapon just seems to really fit me. I am in the crowd that wished it was buffed a bit, but I’m not opposed to working with its weaknesses. I just kind of wish it’s ammunition was a bit more accessible as a secondary cause I just like shooting it so much, but with it being a Linear Fusion Rifle, I guess that makes sense.
I'm just glad that Last Wish got added as a rotating raid so more people such as myself actually had a realistic chance to get 1k voices.
Thank you for this
Fun to have my love of the thunderlord validated
Xenophage, because Homesteader ornament is the best looking gun in the game, and I love seeing it on my back in the tower. The fact that it's a good gun is a bonus.
I feel called out about Xenophage
I can survive a drop pod, that’s amazing and I’m signing on to destiny right now to test my immortality
I'm a Lament user and as a titan, your description is 100% true
Thunderlord and Sleeper are my OGs from D1, I don't know what I'd do without them tbh.
Sleeper stimulant is definitely me! Ahaha especially the catalyst part LOL
I was prepared for Levi's Breath to get some hate, and I was pleasantly surprised! "You know in your head that this weapon has the potential for ad-clearing, but you know in your heart that you're just gonna keep using it to smack Hydras and Shriekers. Just... make sure you've got high Resilience, because you're gonna get hit with a Mack truck while you haul back that chain."
For me, as a fallen-obsessed hunter, i rock Queenbreaker as my exotic for everything up to Nightfalls
It still keeps up with most other linears thanks to there not being many high health enemys.
Fox is one of the three Exotic Heavies that don’t leave my main. The other two are Ghorn and Thunderlord.
I just think it’s neat.
Lament- you play doom and all you listen to is metal
Me-why yes i do
D.A.R.C.I. ... Was, is, and will always be my everything. Something about it caught and kept my attention from when I first got it during the Red War. I wish it was good again, but it's looking like less of a reality every balance pass. Still, it's neat. It has always been, if nothing else, neat.
My personal favorite power weapon is queen breaker and you absolutely got it spot on. I just want gambit prime back ):
10:54 Ah, the Lament, the good ol’ Stick of R.A.M. How I can never seem to pull off the full combo with my mouse, I don’t think I’ll ever really know, but I love this weapon nonetheless.
Gjally is my main, though, if I’m using an Exotic Heavy. Not only is the damage amazing with it, but this weapon is THE icon of Destiny as a whole. Being a primarily PvE Solar Hunter, it stares me right in the face as one of, if not the best option available.
I had to think for a second since I don’t use an exotic heavy on my main character, (Warlock) but I DO use Heir Apparent… On my Titan. Pair Cuirass of the Falling Star with maximum resilience, recovery, elemental resistance, along with Heir Apparent, and you get a serious one-two punch that is sure to keep the over shield active, whilst eviscerating bosses.
Wardcliff Coil is the first exotic weapon i got in D2 and it still is such fun to play with as it makes a very fun pewpewpewpewpew noise
As a gjallarhorn main yeah that’s p accurate. Been playing destiny since the day it dropped in 2014 and it was one of my first video games. Love this franchise
Could you make a video about people’s favorite legendary weapons (note worthy weapons such as hothead, eyesluna etc)????
threw thick and thin i still love the whisper of the worm
True favorite exotic: Sunshot, Heavy favorite anarchy, third thunderlord. I also really love Eyes of Tomorrow as a design and idea but in reality it blows. But Ghorn is probably my most used heavy. Anarchy I think still has the most kills as I used it for ad clear but I have used it like twice in the past year. Someday it will return.
Something you definitely missed with Wardcliff: its lore is fucking amazing.
1000 voices is actually nice option for duo/trio damage on the final boss of spire dungeon
The Queenbreaker, my favorite linear fusion rifle all time Destiny 2, just use mostly PvP. When i get Vex Mythoclast then exotic cannon change. :)
HELL YEAH! CHAINSAW ON A STICK! GET OVER HERE CROTA!
Well I'm a deathbringer enjoyer myself, and the feeling of going in pvp, shooting it off in the air, and just listening for people dying through walls; I agree with this video.
I completely forgot that I named my gecko after Darci until I saw it here
