  • I picked up this belt sander today because I needed something that was going to quickly remove more material than my cordless random orbital sander.
Specifically, I’m working on a jarrah end-grain chopping board and was having trouble getting some of the deeper machining scratches and burn marks out of it.
If you’re not familiar with it, jarrah (en.m.wikipedia...) is an Australian hardwood that’s known to test every woodworkers patience when it come to sanding.
I’m really happy with how the sander is performing so far.

thanks for the review. What do you think about the cheaper 9400 model? How do they compare, performance wise?

Want, want, want. Looks great (both machine and board). That's nice and easy to fit and adjust the tracking on the belt... but then we all know I'm a fan of most things Teal 😅

The teal was a new addition to my collection, I’ve been a fan of the black and yellow for the last 15 years. Really happy with this one though!
The machine is still going strong, but I messed up the board about 24 hours after this was filmed by dribbling epoxy all over it to fill in some cracks. Hopefully the sander will help me recover it!

@@ShapingSawdust yeah it'll look great, just give it time to cure well, knock it back and polish it up

Good demonstration, but a voice over in English would have been nice. Always wondered how the vacuum bag was removed. Now I know. Thanks from
    Australia.
