Huh? Has it occurred to you that the CCP sucks and should not be honored in any nation that that holds a persons civil rights almost as important as breathing itself? I had a couple friends; one from mainland who's family left due to at the time the one child policy the CCP had and the other left Taiwan since that persons parents feared invasion from the mainland. That's not even counting all the people that left that nation back in the early 1800's for the US due to gold prospecting and horrid conditions going on pre CCP who are as American as apple pie at this point.

Taiwan is an independent country from China and China had no right over it, Hong Kong is a territory formed through military threats and Opium based poisoning of the southern Chinese people. I see no reason China is seen as the bad guy for denying Hong Kong autonomy given the events which granted it autonomy were unjust, violent, and frankly acts of European aggression towards a sovereign, peaceful state

I was born & grown up in Taiwan, have being in US for 4 decades, and for last 10 years had worked with Chinese came from China; they came for new material life (car, house...) they are unlike what shown in the fighting scene. They are content with their homeland. I don't see Xi as a disqualified leader, in US, there are plenty of famous politicians who are corrupted & selfish - preached one thing and very corrupted behind the door, but still got plenty of foolish supporters.

There are anti nucl*ar protests in Japan, India, South Korea and Taiwan all the time. Wuhan, China citizens protested the lockdowns when those happened. Shanghai and Wuhan were literally on lockdown lockdown. Some countries/cities worldwide had it easy when it came to the lockdowns but others had curfews and even bars on their windows. Some people in China got kicked out of their own apartment buildings to make them into rehabilitation centers.
