"There's no such thing as too many books" That's always what I tell myself when I hit that order button and then hear my wallet crying in the background
I recently picked up The Unbroken, The Family Upstairs, and Black Water Sister. I am really looking forward to them and your enthusiasm just makes me want to dive in. I also had a birthday in March and went a little crazy with the order button. For the next several months I can buy five books I really want and that is it. I have a really large tbr currently, so am going to be working my way through a ton of good stuff that has been languishing.
Goldilocks and The Unbroken are on my April TBR. And I just went ahead and bought Skyward Inn. You said Becky Chambers vibes and I was like "Yes. This is mine now." I just finished Record of a Spaceborn Few and need something to fill the void until The Galaxy, and The Ground Within releases here! I'm currently reading Seanan Mcguires Indexing and it's very entertaining.
How about a Parrot Pirate Captain? Kevin Hearne's 'The Princess Beard' has all sorts of great characters. An insecure centaur with girly magic powers, bloodthirsty dryads...dirty elf jokes... it's all here for your middle grade reading amusement.
YESSSS, Beauty and the Beast ! It's gorgeous ! I love your videos so much. Your humor is fantastic and lifts my spirit. I also always add books to my tbr when I watch your videos 😆
There's a children's book told from the fairy godmother's perspective! It's called Cendrillon: A Caribbean Cinderella. I can't remember how good it is because I read it in 2005.
I listened to the Secret Life of Church Ladies, it was fabulous, and the narrator was fantastic, it was so good that I listened to it again immediately.
Loved the cat cameo as you were talking about what I gifted, it’s like they knew I needed the extra love 💕 Hope you enjoy, I think you and LWH would LOVE Vicious x
If you ever read antique literature by dead white men, there’s a short story by Flaubert “A Simple Heart (or Soul depending on the translation). I have no idea if you’d like it or not, but THERE’S A PARROT IN IT. It doesn’t show up until about 2/3 of the way through, but it is a major character. Eventually.
i NEED "Black Water Sister" like yesterday! also, i'm definitely curious about your thoughts on a lot of those books once you get around to reading them bc many of them are on my TBR, too. lol
Not a book rec but I think you'd like the Penumbra Podcast. It's very queer, all the characters featured are over 35 and one of the main stories follows a private detective on Mars in the future. You'd love it!
Love Lisa Jewell 💕 So many wonderful books, can't wait to hear your thoughts on these. I'm reading Dead Head (Rhiannon book 3) atm and loving it!! Really trying to savour it 🤗
Not sure if this comment reaches you, but I recently read the first book in the Nine Lives Trilogy, by E.R.Murray. It's middlegrade-ish I think, set in Ireland. Synopsis: "After the death of her beloved grandpa, Ebony Smart’s world is turned upside down. Sent to Dublin to live with an aunt she didn’t know existed, she soon discovers that her new home, 23 Mercury Lane, is full of secrets. Learning that she is part of an ancient order of people who have the power to reincarnate, Ebony quickly discovers that a terrible evil threatens their existence. With just her pet rat, Winston, and a mysterious book to help her, she must figure out why her people are disappearing and how to save their souls, including her own, before time runs out …" When I read it, i couldn't put it down, but also thought how you might like this. I loved the first book, The Book Of Learning, and am currently reading the second book in the trilogy.
I'm older than you - okay, a lot older. I remember when my friend's priest refused to go into the room with her dying son. Anyone who went and held the hands of all those young men - my definition of a good person.
Didn’t know you loved birds. How about flying puppies? I’ve become obsessed with the UA-cam channel Batzilla the Bat. A lovely, lovely Aussie lady who rescues flying foxes. I’m in love. See what you think if you have a chance.
I still need to read Goldilocks but that author wrote maybe my favorite fantasy of all time. Pantomime is about a young intersex person who runs away to the circus when their parents try to make them "a proper woman" and the world is just so good and unique. If you want to read something where the whole world feel kinda like a carnival then pick this up. The MC is also bi and this is openly discussed in addition to being intersex and gnc. It deserves more hype than it's ever gotten
I just recently found your channel (love it and subscribed!), so sorry if you've read and reviewed this already - have you read The Rules and Regulations for Mediating Myths and Magic by FT Lukens? Adorable fantasy/rom-com!
I enjoyed the family upstairs by Lisa jewell but then read Then She Was Gone and I was so unhappy and mad at it I refuse to read anything else by her 😅
One time I bought books for about 150 euros in my local shop and the lady asked me whom are they for. I told, all for me :D

Lockwood and Co series is THE BEST OMG I didn't know Stroud had written a new book, I can't even breaaaathe!!
Every time I watch your videos, my book wish list GROWS!

There's a children's book told from the fairy godmother's perspective! It's called Cendrillon: A Caribbean Cinderella. I can't remember how good it is because I read it in 2005.

I'm on that rewrite for you, Lianne. I love unconventional rewrites.

The Secret Lives of Church Ladies is INCREDIBLE.

Right so I require Black Water Sister, like, right now
I know I don't need the illustrated hardcovers of A Song of Ice And Fire.... but I want them.📚📚📚😈📚📚📚
Why do I watch a Lianne haul when I finally decide I need to curb my book buying? 🤦🏻♀️😂
I enjoyed the family upstairs by Lisa jewell but then read Then She Was Gone and I was so unhappy and mad at it I refuse to read anything else by her 😅

I love you because of the first line in this video. *Hits subscribe and follows on all social media*
I want a macaw in theory. A theoretical macaw. I don’t want an ACTUAL macaw, because they all behave like macaws.
There's no such thing as too many books. There's no such thing as too much yarn. I'm not sure which one is bigger at this point.
Do you want to buddy read Charlie?
