DIY cordless Chicken plucker in action

  • We made this chicken plucker out of chicken plucker fingers, two 4" pvc endcaps, allthread rod, washers, locknuts, lock washers, and scrap pallet wood. It is powered by a cordless drill.
    Prep the chicken for plucking by soaking it in 150 degree water for about a minute. Its not as convenient as one of those tub chicken pluckers but it is much cheaper and much faster than hand plucking.

      petti78 a flamethrower would be too hot on the outside of the chicken, leaving you with raw chicken on the inside or blackened chicken on the outside

    Just went to the grocery store!!! Bought one already raised,killed, plucked and roasted to perfection for a whopping $3.88!!!!😂😂😂

    • @patrickd9551
      @patrickd9551 2 роки тому +4

      Except for the fact that you will never experience the taste of a home grown chicken. Them store bought chickens are fed a mono diet to fatten them quickly and they experience quite some stress which will end up in the meat. You also know that your chicken has had the best life and has been treated with the most respect (if you actually care for your chicken).
      But the main issue for people is the fact they actually have to kill a living being. They don't want to see the living version of their meat. But you can fix that for the incredible price of $3.88 Congrats.

    This doesn't make any sense at all. Spend way too much time on one fowl and still ended up fine picking it. Waste of time and money. A plucker machine would be way better.

    • @poultryman4427
      @poultryman4427 4 роки тому +1

      Prince Banton commercial pluckers would be better, but they cost around 500$, Plus you still have to pluck some of the feather off by hand. This homemade one is way cheaper than a commercial plucker and much faster than hand plucking.
