DIY cordless Chicken plucker in action

- We made this chicken plucker out of chicken plucker fingers, two 4" pvc endcaps, allthread rod, washers, locknuts, lock washers, and scrap pallet wood. It is powered by a cordless drill.
Prep the chicken for plucking by soaking it in 150 degree water for about a minute. Its not as convenient as one of those tub chicken pluckers but it is much cheaper and much faster than hand plucking.
Awesome video and great music 🎶
lol thank you very much!
Simple & cheap setup. If you update the design, please post another video
Next...DIY to clean the place up :) Just Joking!!! Good idea 💡 and Great Content!
Great example on how to get it done!!
Necessity, the mother of invention
Good idea and design but the burning question is how did you construct the plucking wheel?
You're A moron
@@justinveach8735 Why is he a moron? He asked a reasonable question. Actually, someone who accuses others of being morons, usually is himself a moron.
Lol that looks like a pain in the ass!
Great idea.
do the chickens have large talons?
Medium sized claws
Nice idea
nice beats hand plucking any day
The chicken looked dry. Did you scald the bird before this?
I still want to see the most obvious first choice, a flamethrower. Would it also cook the bird?
petti78 a flamethrower would be too hot on the outside of the chicken, leaving you with raw chicken on the inside or blackened chicken on the outside
Chicken Barber: Aye what haircut you want?
Chicken: I want Dat military shave bruh,
Chicken Barber: I got you fam
Naon eta euyy🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
I'm laughing so hard my face hurts
Great idea! Not a great one to wear rubber gloves tho.
What do u do woth all the feathers? Forgive me if that is a dumb question but looks like a night mare to clean it all up
You can compost them.
Looks painful. That’s one tough bird.
Just went to the grocery store!!! Bought one already raised, killed, plucked and roasted to perfection for a whopping $3.88!!!!😂😂😂
Except for the fact that you will never experience the taste of a home grown chicken. Them store bought chickens are fed a mono diet to fatten them quickly and they experience quite some stress which will end up in the meat. You also know that your chicken has had the best life and has been treated with the most respect (if you actually care for your chicken).
But the main issue for people is the fact they actually have to kill a living being. They don't want to see the living version of their meat. But you can fix that for the incredible price of $3.88 Congrats.
@@patrickd9551 exactly!!!!😂👏👏👏👏👏
And the idea is for producing Chicken.... Not just depend of the stores...
That's only true in cities where rent is $2,000 a month for anyting
Enjoy your roasted gmo's
Does that bruise the meat at all?
Shakes McTremens it does not bruise the meat, especially if you bleed out the bird first
Chicken haircut
nice! Do you still have to dip them first?
Yes they still have to be dipped.
Is the chicken ok?
Did you test on ducks?
date night?

I need the plans!
You're kidding right? Anybody with sense enough to pull down their britches to crap should be able to construct this thing without a blueprint.
+PLUCKER IS TO NARROW....

More than 2 min to pluck a chicken, i. Can do it less than 1 min only with my hands.
NOOOOOO😭😭😭
Dirty works

To messy
I can hand pluck a chicken faster than that
I certainly can’t so I’m gonna have to consider it. I’ve only plucked three though, so maybe it’s a practice thing

This doesn't make any sense at all. Spend way too much time on one fowl and still ended up fine picking it. Waste of time and money. A plucker machine would be way better.
Prince Banton commercial pluckers would be better, but they cost around 500$, Plus you still have to pluck some of the feather off by hand. This homemade one is way cheaper than a commercial plucker and much faster than hand plucking.
I'm a noob... But it seems quicker than having to do 60 chicks by hand alone
NOOOOOO😭😭😭
You have issues
