In the word of Luke Skywalker "What a piece of junk!"seriuosly if you have to run every frame through more than once what time does it save? I can do it twice as fast with a heated knife or an electric bread knife. And for what they charge for that thing.... what a rip off
Thanks for the video, but no thanks to this roller uncapper. It looks crap. Using something like this would slow me down, I can uncap much faster by hand using my razor sharp sushi knives.
That thing would piss me off big time. It may work OK for new and tender capping but for capped honey that been walked over and is tough it would never make a dent. Too bad because I really liked the idea.
I've used one on old comb during the winter from a deadout. It worked fine as long as you put the frame in and ran in through at an angle both ways. Angle forward going down, then angle back coming up. Twice through without rushing, and it was fine. Beats a hot knife for me. YMMV

@@DavidSchade Hi David, do you own/use one of these? There is another version which uses rollers of plastic pins like the hand held version. Looking into that one as well.
@@dsohio1146 Thanks. I'm building an extraction trailer and I have similar Lyson 20 frame extractor and a Harmony uncapped and this looks like the right uncapping tank. Looks like it will hold 20 frames if you use the Harmony Uncapper.

Maybe slightly smaller o-rings would keep rollers tighter

It works just as well on "old brood" wax honey frames as on new tender cappings.

You don’t want to shove it ally he way through. By pressing down to top frame then pulling back up it pretty much uncaps all
