Nicolette pregnant with Elsie May Live on Television 1990 - Italy put some stuff behind her showing some due respect she had almost achieved in the States. ZeeTweaked Audio
What an amazing talent she was. She had it all. I will never understand how she never achieved more fame and success. Her talent was endless. I am discovering so much of her music and falling in love with it. I only wish I would have heard more of it back in the day. She seemed so down to earth and everything I have read seems to back that up. In this video she looks so stunning. Its heartbreaking knowing she is gone. May God bless her and all of her family.
She was a one hit wonder, face it.Sorry she died young and that was unfortunate..She rode the "Lotta Love" horse as long as she could and was left with nothing else to offer her label except slightly above average beauty.
She has always been on a much higher level then the rest, she blew pass everyone's expectations again and again as she've always done with each and every recording, Her words in this song are so powerful and deep. I miss seeing her concerts and her R.I.P. sister.
I loved Nicolette Larson as a backing singer to Linda Ronstadt. Fame and success are strange, fickle things. She is not that well known but ought to be. People with a fraction of her talent have built massive careers.
Not always about talent, today it's all about doing everything on stage, except singing. If you have good promotion, and somebody with money to do it for you, that's all you need, just look at Justin Bieber.
Freshstart6354 Beautiful voice Nicolette Larson, I remember most of her songs. She did have some mega hits at the time. The biggest one "A lot'a love" from Neil Young. As for Justin Bieber, if you don't think he can sing it's because you never really "listened". The boy has a beautiful voice. "They plucked him fresh" and they packaged him into what he is today. I wouldn't be surprised if he dropped out of the whole thing soon. There is so much undeserved hatred around him. We love to hate people and we only "feel sorry" after it's too late. Just look at Amy Winehouse and Michael Jackson.
seriouslyinsanediva You are right when you said they packaged him, he would not be anywhere today. if he had to come up in the music industry when The Guess Who did it, that's talent.
She was a victim of the times she came into the limelight. The US had grown beyond bored with the formulaic SoCal "soft rock" of Rondstadt, Taylor, Brown, Harris, et al.
I've only just come across her, sadly i'd never even heard of her previously, but i love her voice, she can definitely sing .... it's a crying shame that she died so early.
I could tell you the way that I feel On cloudy days when things seem so unreal Without becoming shy because You are my Father I could sing you a song to my years Imagine words that have never appeared And the melody "You are my Father" I'd lie my head so softly on your shoulder And drift away to sleep Dreaming of sirens as they play "I'm on the Island" But I can't find stars we use watch As they shine the morning dew You might've seen them too Me and My Father You could tell me the way that you feel Breaking silence forever up until all your defensiveness because You are my Father I'd free your wings and deep into the night time carry you with me Across the never ending Heaven through the flowing wind But you can't find stars we use to watch As they shine a morning blue Your wings are flowing dew Wandering Father Time is moving by see myself reflected in yourself And the light that shines upon your face Thought it'd catch your warm embrace I'll never understand Me and My Father I'll never understand Me and My Father I'd lie my head so softly on your shoulder and drift away to sleep Dreaming of sirens as they play "I'm on the Island" But I can't find stars we use to watch as they shine a morning blue You might have been there too Me and My Father Oh you might have seen them too Me and My Father I know you've seen them too Me and My Father
Dr Brand, i have read your lyrics, and i' ve some misundestanding....you writer "i'd lie...." but doping a match up of the italian lyric, i think she sing ...."I'd lay my head..." Then....."dreaming sirens as the play i'm on the island"......i Believe she sing....."as they play gaming the island" alwsys doping a match up with italian lyric...."sognando isole e sirene in mezzo al mare" so this is more poetry. Then "but I can't find stars we use watch" .....I think it is..."but I can't stars we used to watch" I look news from you. Bye
Nicolette is not gone. She just left her body and merged into the permanent blissfull state where everything is one, pure love and eternal, which is inside everybody's heart.
She continues to remind me of a young Kate Mulgrew, now I think of her whenever I watch Voyager. But Nicolette was probably one of the most underrated singers of her time. I love every song I hear her sing. She was just magnificent❤
Nicolette Larson died Dec. 16, 1997 in Los Angeles, aged 45 years for cerebral edema, wonderful beautiful voice ...... I have several vinyl LP ...........Nicolette Larson morta il 16 dicembre 1997 a Los Angelesa, età 45 anni per edema celebrale, voce stupenda bellissima......ho diversi dischi in vinile LP
A beautiful lady, and a very nice person. Everyone who worked with her had nothing to say about her except good. Oh and yes, she had a great voice! I refer to her as The Great Lady Nicolette.
What a dolt I've been, hearing this for the first time, and only now understanding, hearing her sing this song. God . . . what a gift she's left for all of us.
pq a morte é ingrato com as pessoas , ela deveria matar os ruins , maldosos os q não tem condicões de viver na sociedade , é não as pessoas de bem q não fez mal para ninguem é TRISTE Q INJUSTIÇA
There's a city here in Brazil, Ribeirão Preto... She lives here, you won't see this woman during the day, but you'll close your eyes at night and you'll understand what it's like to be Brazilian and bow before the smell of the land and the night breeze of sweet Ribeirão. You will find Nicolette among us.
Shout-out to the orchestra in this video! They made an incredible, beautifully melodic and reverberating music to support Nicollete’s vocal in this performance.
Estou muito triste e muito irado em saber que esta cantora maravilhosa morreu tão Jovem eu não aceito isto . Por que as pessoas tem que morrer ? A vida é tão cruel
Really!! Time someone said it! Sorry to say she never really hit it big because her voice really had limits. The new technology could have helped her but she was good as back up mostly.
Love my father, most devoted Dad, I love you. 3-21-18. Life will never be the same without you, Dad. Thank you for everything good in my life. I’m so lucky.
Me And My DadThis song is by Grazia Di Michele. If I could talk to you about meThese days the Sun is not thereWithout getting confused because you're my fatherIf I could sing to meThe only story that in the world there isRemind them that you're my fatherI would put my head in my hands and I fall asleepDreaming Islands and sirens in the middle of the seaBut I no longerFires to steal in this blue nightDid you see them maybe you're my fatherIf I could talk to youAnd shatter the silence that there isNo hide because you're my fatherYou'd take your tired handsAnd we'd tieIn our travels lunacy without endBut you no longerWant to follow me in this blue nightNever have the words you are my father. This is so pretty. She seemed such a sweet girl. I loved her in the concert for Lowell George. She sang her songs and then stood back and backed the others well. I particularly loved her at the Concert in Central Park in, I think, 1983, singing backing for Linda Ronstadt. She was at her most beautiful then although she comes close here; that is what pregnancy does for a woman. Her early death was so sad. I think her career shows how silly fame is; she was very talented but no fame.
A beautiful song sung by a beautiful lady.
This is my first time hearing this song and this beautifully Melodic sound

100% with you
I agree,the little that got heard,”lotta love”was so great,I instantly thought wow,she’s really good.

This is so beautiful! April 2024 here.
Always loved her voice! Can't believe she's been gone over 20 yrs. Always in our hearts!
There's a massive outpouring for her nowadays hope she getting the vibe.
She has always been on a much higher level then the rest, she blew pass everyone's expectations again and again as she've always done with each and every recording, Her words in this song are so powerful and deep. I miss seeing her concerts and her R.I.P. sister.

We all got right to our opinion, this is America. Just not everyone has a ear for talent.
seriouslyinsanediva You are right when you said they packaged him, he would not be anywhere today. if he had to come up in the music industry when The Guess Who did it, that's talent.

She sure was...
My heart hurts when i hear this song
.
Such a beautiful woman, so full of life, what a great loss.
Stunningly beautiful. I’m so thankful to find this
A massively better talent than the scores that have since risen to mega fame.
Agree, one of many. She was a backup singer and studio musician for scores of people.
I lost my father 7 years ago and today is my father's birthday he would have been 99 year's old today, I miss you father.
I could tell you the way that I feel
On cloudy days when things seem so unreal
Without becoming shy because You are my Father
I could sing you a song to my years
Imagine words that have never appeared
And the melody "You are my Father"
I'd lie my head so softly on your shoulder
And drift away to sleep
Dreaming of sirens as they play "I'm on the Island"
But I can't find stars we use watch
As they shine the morning dew
You might've seen them too Me and My Father
You could tell me the way that you feel
Breaking silence forever up until all your defensiveness because
You are my Father
I'd free your wings and deep into the night time carry you with me
Across the never ending Heaven through the flowing wind
But you can't find stars we use to watch
As they shine a morning blue
Your wings are flowing dew Wandering Father
Time is moving by see myself reflected in yourself
And the light that shines upon your face
Thought it'd catch your warm embrace
I'll never understand Me and My Father
I'll never understand Me and My Father
I'd lie my head so softly on your shoulder and drift away to sleep
Dreaming of sirens as they play "I'm on the Island"
But I can't find stars we use to watch as they shine a morning blue
You might have been there too Me and My Father
Oh you might have seen them too Me and My Father
I know you've seen them too Me and My Father
