I have a question for experioenced DCS players or such. When you lock on to enemy aircraft, while he is jamming, and you launch 27ER, then break lock, will 27ER continue guidance in HoJ mode (same goes for 77, or AIM-120). I experimented with 27ER on flaming cliffs , and it can be done, 77 can be even launch without geting a lock, but I am interested in other opinions. Hope for quick answers. Cheers

Blaze I did that a few times, no problem at all, it will remain locked on target 🤘🏻

@@ChawkiFilho yeah,I figured it out. Iteresting thing about 77,atleast in FC2 is that, couple of times I got the tone without locking on it. Ofc while he was jamming. Dont know if itwas glitch, but hyphothetically it gives possibility to shoot more than 2 targets. Anyway, cheers

fxvlad Well actually ,, DCS world ,, is not a game --- that it is more of a hardcore simulator for warplanes freaks in the truest sense of the word ^^

my friends told me that, if you can start Su-27 engine in DCS, you can start Su-27 engine in real life, is that true?

R27 is rubbish, while R77 is the true rival of AIM120.

R-27ER has very long range and can be used to force enemy plane to go defensive.

Why do the Russian planes always die in every real scenario but can’t be matched in this game?

Tom Wolfe You mean like when the Indian Mig 29s beat the hell out of American aircraft during war games?? Real world like that??

Kill/Loss ratio favors the American designs over the Soviet/Russian designs.

Military field problems are classrooms, not contests.
In a judo class, a white belt might throw a black belt many times, because the white belt is practicing the technique. If the black belt walked onto the mat, and with no instruction, simply threw his students around, the classes would be valueless. Instead, the black belt explains the technique, walks the student through it, then allows the student to practice the technique until the student can confidently execute it.
The same holds true for military field exercises. When I was in the Army, we would say that we TRAINED WITH the British, Canadians, Norwegians, or Egyptians. We NEVER said that we COMPETED AGAINST them. We learned from them, and they learned from us..

Because in almost all scenarios yanks had numerical advantage and AWACS support which their opponents hadn't
Oh, or they were just shooting down mig-21/23s in f-15s. Yep. F-15 is da bezd fighter, still once got hit by a mig-21 xd
