You have such a calming and assuring voice and demeanor. You must be a teacher by profession?
My grandparents always called each other cariad in their living years in Queensferry in the 1950s and 60s. How I miss them.
Hello I am new here I am so excited to learn from you thank you
Hello Jason. I live in Australia and have been watching your channel for a 18 months or so and really like it. I used the skills you taught me when we visited Wales in June ‘22.
In Dinas Mawddwy we stayed overnight at the Llew Coch Inn and when I was served my dinner I thanked the man in Welsh, and more importantly I understood when he replied “Croeso”. It was a great moment for me and I used my limited knowledge of Welsh for the time I was there. Diolch yn fawr Jason. PS I intend to keep learning.
Thank you so much. Your approach is brilliant and not overwhelming 😊👍
Diolch yn fawr buddy, its great what you do ! Hwyl
2 weeks a go, i was on travel to Y Wladfa(Porth Madryn, Trelew and Gaiman to be specific) and i cameback with the feeling of "I need to start to learn this language right now".
Im really glad you are here with your videos to my start on this beautiful language :D !
It’s great to hear that your travels have inspired you so much. I’m glad you’ve started learning Welsh and are finding the videos useful.
WORDS !

10:44 Happy birthday 🎂
You are an absolute expert in Welsh
Thank you for your content! Can you please do a video on Welsh Language media for learners such as artists who make music in Welsh or movies / series in Welsh. I live in America & I have been studying for over a year but it is difficult to find books, music or television in the Welsh language
Thank you so much x if you ever fake a welsh conversation where we have to fill in the gaps that would be amazing !😊
Syniad da!/ That’s a good idea! 👍
Blwydd Newydd dda, still learning here diolch yn fawr for your videos
Very interesting. I need to go back and review your previous videos.
Mr. Jason. Im 23 years young and from Orlando, Florida. Welsh is strong in the family. Learning welsh has been so fun. But the one problem I have is finding someone else who actually speaks it. Im not sure if you do skype calls but id love to pay for skype lessons 🙏🙏🙏
Learning from Australia ❤️
I enjoy your videos. The dog I'm getting in a few months, I am training in Welsh. From my list, "come" is "dod" (long O). "come here" is "dod yma". Although, dog commands should be their name and a single word, so it would be simply "Cysgod. Dod" When would you use "dod"?
This is good, very inspiring, thank you 😁
I am very ashamed that I didn't learn welsh, even though my mother's side spoke in welsh but they spoke to me in English at 28 it's never to young to learn!
My family left Cardiff when I was 2. --- I am now 78. Never to old to learn.
Keep up the lessons Jason. Learn so much from them
Nothing to be ashamed about. The important thing is you’re learning Welsh now. It’s never too late to learn. Also you have family who you can practice speaking Welsh with, which is great, as that will keep you motivated in learning the language.
Glad you’re enjoying the lessons and finding them useful.
Ive been having a hard time rolling my R's witch makes a decent amount of words difficult, got any tips on that or a vid I missed of yours?
Appreciate your content btw
Hello! I try to learn Welsh by myself and have a question. I've seen two versions of "How are you?": "Sut dych chi?" and "Sut wyt ti?" Can you say which one is correct, please?
Happy Chinese New Year boyo!
It took me a few tries with 'Llongfarychiadau'; but after one that felt like success, I decided to celebrate by teaching myself how to say 'Congratulations, self!' in Welsh: Llongfarychiadau, hunan! 😂
Hello, I live in Melbourne, Australia. I’m interested in doing some online class lessons do you know any which accommodate international based learners
Tyrd normally gets changed to tyd, as tyd yma.
Depends on the area of Wales you live in.
How do I choose which dialect, North or South, of Welsh to learn? Or should I just learn both?
Chose the one that makes the most sense for you. For example: If you live in South Wales then chose the South Wales dialect. If you holiday a lot in North Wales or your family are from there then choose the North Wales dialect.
