- Following the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, a supremely talented movie star and inspired casting for King T’Challa, Marvel Studios found themselves in the unenviable position of rewriting the next chapter for Wakanda. What did you think of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever? Let me know!
It's hard for me to be harsh towards this movie when I know how much they had to scramble just to create an entirely new script in such a short time. I think my judgement for Black Panther 3 will determine it as long as things go smoothly and according to plan when it comes out.
That's fair. Hard to imagine what Black Panther 3 is going to entail after all of this...
I liked it and saw it twice. It didn't feel like a Black Panther movie because it's really not. It's a movie about Wakanda coming to terms and dealing with the loss of the Black Panther, their king, and moving forward. I'd give the film a 7/10; that's a two-point increase from the first Black Panther film, which I didn't like. As for Wakanda Forever, the action sequences could have been better, and some things could have been left out. Other than that, I'm not going to be overly critical of a film considering the circumstances. They made the RIGHT call not replacing Chadwick.
Yeah, that's a fair rating. I agree. Similarly, the themes of grieving and how we process loss was enthralling. I teared up a lot.
I was a little conflicted about Namor though. In the first film it seemed like Killmonger actually won the moral argument about the negative qualities surrounding Wakanda's isolationist policies and changed T'Challa's mind. Which was refreshing. Lol I mean, before he slipped into supervillain mode and began choking out people like Darth Vader while rolling out a hastily planned world conquest plan.
In this however... Well, I suppose the whole point is that you're not supposed to agree with this particular villain and it was meant to highlight the irrational arguments used to justify warfare. The cyclical nature of violence and absurdity of it all couldn't have been more prominent. But I couldn't help but think the villain's world domination plan was even sillier than the last, kind of lessening his impact as a credible threat. I couldn't help but think of it as a tantrum. Which is still fine, I guess. It's not totally unbelievable or without historical precedence. As if all real world leaders are paragons of virtue and supremely rational in times of crisis.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Honestly, the thought of replacing Chadwick didn't even cross my mind. It's wild since that's probably what most film franchises would've done, but Chadwick made it his own in such a short time.
Finally another review
:D
Seeing Wakanda Forever tommorow very excited
Enjoy! Let me know what you think of it :)
@@cineflect I thought it was great.
Defiently my fav phase 4 Movie
@@ikeatower I'm glad you liked it! It would be towards the bottom of my Phase Four ranking, which I'll probably share in a future video.
Sir make videos make more often, review the Indian movie Kantara, it grossed 400 crore with just 16 crore budjet crossing KGF 2 box office record.
I think you should do review some More Indian movies like Bahubali and Sardar udham. By the way loved your review for Wakanda Forever, all I can say that your review is more entertaining than the Movie. This Movie is the Prime example how MCU has changed into M-SHE-U. 😂😂😂😂
Ya it jast a below avarage movie ..🤒
Honestly I was not interested at all just looking at the trailer. Felt rushed for them to have this movie out
If the trailer didn't sway you, I think it's safe to pass this one by. (I honestly think the trailer is better than the film in this case.)
I'm watching it on 4k blu ray wish I could return it. It is utterly junk garbage can't take it. Michael B Jordan should of came back as Black Panther.
That would’v been amazing.
Really disappointed with this movie, it's just a cash grab
Sure you can just make it a white guy since that fits the narrative
This movie was better than the first one.
