do not buy this keyboard unless you just like the presets. I have been using multi timbral keyboards since the Korg M1 since the early 90's. This keyboard is an absolute nightmare to navigate and program. manual is nothing. Roland video tutorials are absolutely worthless.Really miserable experience working with this keyboard. plan to sell ASAP

It’s a powerhouse. You need to get to know it before making judgement.

Does ZEN CORE mean the ORIGINAL presets from yesteryear (eg. the original library of the JUNO 106)? - in which all of the titles are stated in capital letters? Thanks.

Hi Scott. How can we access the Z-Core model like on Zenology Pro ? Without being locked into one of the vintage models ?
I’d like a 4 OSC, 2 envelopes, 2 LFOs engine with all the x-modulation/filter options and no « Not Available » messages when doing sound design.

Is there a way to audition the rhythm sounds (808 hi hat for example) and tweak them to any extent? Or are you stuck with the preset patterns/sounds? I have not been able to find a way to isolate the individual rhythmic sounds in order to tweak them and create custom patterns, hoping there’s a way to do this. Thanks in advance! Very helpful guide otherwise!

Scott, after I have initialised a scene like 16-01 as you did and then select a Model say the Jupiter, how do I get an initialised Tone to start from scratch with.

Exactly. When I go to initialize scene and initialize it, and then initialize tone- I get a blank wave sound. Ive even tried to write it to "system" that way but as soon as I move off of it and go back to it, its back to Jupiter "Berlin Night" etc. It never saves it when I try to completely remove the preset tones.

im posting this for you and anyone else that comes across this. I had this same issue for about 4 hours today after getting mine and I realized with some help from a Facebook group member that to initialize a scene is a 2 step operation. You initialize the scene first, from the Write/initialize scene menu, and write it. THEN you have to arrow up through each of the entries that say "edited" and and then ENTER through each one down the list- at the end it will say "write" again- THAT commits the change and actually saves it. *Ugh!
