Hey. So i recently bought the G27. And upon booting my pc, it will start calibrating/spinning and have some sort of resistance to the turns. However, as soon as I enter my credentials and log in, my windows (11 pro) will not detect the device (G27). It's pretty similar to the issue presented in this video so I'll be giving it a try. Did Windows prompted u that ur device was not detected too?
In the bottom right corner when you plug it in? Yeah, that sounds like drivers. I have done no testing in Windows 11 (dont have..) but sound like drivers have been borked. Try LGS 5.10 linked in description as described in the video. make sure you do the cleaning out the Reg and drivers associated with the current copy of LGS. If your still having issue let me know on discord.... Good luck!

Hi yeah I'm using a g27 steering wheel. It was not used for 2 years and recently I started using it. The first time i turned the steering wheel it calibrated one way but not the other way and the LED light in the steering wheel blinked. This time it was working. The next day when i turned it on everything except the steering wheel was working. The LED did not blink, the steering wheel was not calibrating when it was turned on. And I also noticed two things the power notifying green LED light near the gear is turned on and dim when only the usb is connected to device (image 1). The next thing was the charger. when I just turn on the charger LED turns on green, but when I connect it to steering wheel it goes off. So I tried a new charger, but the result is same. Is there anything I should do?
Gezzz Deone I hate to be the barer of bad news but sounds like you have a short in the wheel electronic there bud. Sorry to say but if im right whatever is wrong will require a hardware fix. You may get luck and have a known and fixable issue but I will not be much use to you in this case im afraid. Id recommend starting with ifixit and if you dont have any luck search google, youtube and repair forums. I have seen links to videos covering internal faults on youtube. I wish you luck.
any ideas on how to fix this issue from reoccuing every time i unplug and replug my wheel. same issue pops up expect it continuously trys to calibrate to the right
Hey Kelly. Its really hard to tell with out more info. If your having this happen before the comp is booted to win then test on fresh comp clean of GHUB and with only the version included in the video description. If same result then i think you might have a hardware issue (which sucks). It should do the full calib upon plug in. Anyway I can try to work though it with you on discord if you want to hit me up on there (wont be back online properly until mid-week due to crappy AU NBN)

I bought a g27 second hand. Mechanically it appears to work fine, the force feedback works, there are no lights flashing, however I can not get it to work in assetto corsa(Im on Win11). What happened is whenever I try to install logitech profiler, the installation works, but it won't recognise the wheel, saying something like "Can not detect any controller." I tried to run it in ac anyway without the shifter(the shifter and clutch were not detected at all), with just throttle and brake and paddle and paddle shifter, which leads to another issue that the game does not recognise the padel to be "braking" when I step on the brake, it recognises that I am "decreasing throttle" cause apparently the game by default(using the G27 no H shifter setting) has throttle. It sucks Ive been trying to get it to work for the whole day but nothing works.
Hey Jasminsamb. Very frustrating im sure. You need to follow a different and specific to Windows 11 process to get the g27 working on that OS. There is a comment that was kindly left below by another viewer, that touches on this. I just got a new laptop and now have the joy of Win11 but am yet to try it on that machine. Still, after I open the software, it says "Logitech profiler didnt detect any gaming controllers. make sure the device was plugged in", despite power connected and device connected. Im pretty sure its not a hardware problem like I stated it partially runs, but I dont know where to go next.
whats even weirder was that when I clicked on the option "game controllers", it does say that there is a controller called "G27 Racing Wheel" and condition is confirmed. I also checked settings and devices and it does say that there is a device called "G27 Racing Wheel".
@@macslife ok, after few days I tried to connect it to a windows 10 pc and it worked. What happened was, the driver was from the same source, but when you install the driver on windows 10, other than the profiler, it will also install an old version of logictech gaming center(not software), which Im suspecting is why its not working on win11 due to whatever reason.

Mines has stopped working properly in assetto corsa properly since reinstalling windows... Its now very stiff and sounds and feels like broken ffb... Logitech profiler is there fine and correctly registers the G27... I'm so stuck...
What is the green led on the gear stick doing? Is it solid or flashing?? Check Device Manager to see if it is really seeing the wheel as G27. If I recall I had this in Profiler too. If you find that in DM the wheel is listed as something else then something has gone wrong and you should re run the procedure in the video. You must follow it exactly. If it seen as G27 you have another issue. Good luck and hit me up on discord if you still having issues.

Hey Mick. First which OS version Win10 or 11? If 11 you might be boned sorry. If 10 then chances are you need to clean off all those drivers ( you must use a third party uninstall program, Windows native application wont do the job). If you have another computer without LGS or Ghub plug it in and check it boots correctly on that. Once done the process in the video should work. If not hit me up on discord (link in description) Make sure G-hub is set not to start at start up. Good luck
@@macslife hey thanks for the reply my os win10 i have made it work it took me awhile. so i closed G-hub then the device connect and disconnected problem stopped then in the config screen of windows at the device and printers it says in the unknown tab G27 steering wheel then click hardware then properties it says under the operating system : Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel (PS3) then click administrator / search for updates on this computer and click the self select click : USB input device. it wil refresh the wrong software to the correct version back to the G27 (LGS). and after that i laughed G-hub and it works with it open the only thing is i think that this must be done again when G-hub updates but time wil tell.
I have the Logitech g27, I bought it, I installed it and it says "it does not recognize a USB device... I played around a little, it recognized it, I used it without problems all day, I turned off the computer, turned it on then and it said unknown device again, I reinstalled drivers and so on. I don't know how I did it... I took it again, I used it for a few hours, I restarted the computer to test... it worked perfectly for me - I created restoration points with the steering wheel working - I left... two hours later I turned it on. The PC did not recognize the USB device...I activated the restore and it still did not recognize the device...until now it remains like this...help!!!! and nothing!!!
I have the latest driver version 1.50 installed and also ghub, I don't know if it won't recognize them for that reason or what it could be, because sometimes it doesn't recognize it, sometimes it doesn't.
Try this may help - Check in Device manager if the computer is seeing it as g29. If so remove that device from list and then close Ghub updater service in task manager after this start LGS and plug in G27. This should work on Win10 but may only last until next restart. Basically Ghub is too assertive and needs to chill the F out. Hope it helps.

Mate its hard to say. Im assuming you have checked the connection between the modules to be ok. Which version of LGS are you using? Maybe hit me up on discord (link in video description)

I have to use one gaming software for my keyboard and the profiler for the g27 - it worked on my old machine but with my new build the profiler doesn't detect anything at all. Windows sees it as G27, but the controllers bit for calibration shows it as a driving force. What a cluster of hell..
While playing NFS the wheel is rolling right and left and make annoying resistance while playing and this but me in a hand pain while holding it Its so hard to play with this problem I hope you reply

hmm. mine does start and spin but it spins infinitly to the left unless i stop it and then it turns the same to the right, and my rpm leds dont light up at all. and idk what the problem is:(
Not sure about the rpm leds maybe they are not lighting up due to a calibration failure stopping start up. What is the green led on the gear stick doing? Have you looked inside the wheel housing? Sounds like the endstop mechanism is broken. If your lucky it just a cable has come unplugged inside. Id look up videos on that issue If I was you to see if you have similar symptoms. Best on luck.
@@macslife i tore the whole thing apart i found that the bracket was out of place so that the motors were spinning freely, and that the cable inside the wheel was broken too, but i managed to find the issue. Also thank you for responding :)
@@macslife altough the force Feedback doesnt work still at least in beam ng drive, i got this 2nd hand and since ive got it i have never managed to make the ffb work🤷🏻♂️
@@macslife yes im ussing windows 11 wen connect to g27 it not being recognized. virtual bus driver error, tryed uninstal and reinstal drivers, but still no salvation for this issue, i read that it could be usb 3.0 ports not reading older devices, tried all usb's no change to problem. lghum does not register g27 being connected...

this wont work for me profiler is telling me there isnt a controller connected and ghub just crashes the wheel i give up im putting this in the trash and buying a sim magic setup

I was face this today. After watching this video i ask myself: "Why he advise to remove software?" Cose what i know about computers telling me that old software must use old driver. In this case if G HUB putting in wrong driver - solution in video wil be useless until system somehow have no choice to plug in right driver. In some scenario it will work in other will not. Cose remove soft does not means mandatory remove driver too. I started to search, and found - my system think that i have "G29 Gaming Wheel (PS3)" date of my driver is 2023. So its G HUB driver. My solution for this: Unplug g27 from usb. Close, unload G Hub. (is not nessesary if you like to watch how wheel struggles) Install version 5.10 of LGS Plugin g27 into USB. Go to Device manager - Find you wheel - click RMB, chose Update Driver - Browse my comp - Let me pick from a list - Find "Force Feedback Wheel Driver" chose it instead of already installed. Run LGS - you got your weel work. G HUB wil not overtake driver, you can run it now. Maybe my solution help somebody.

If i may, "useless" is too strong a word (esp in English. One might even take is offensively which im sure is not your intent, hence this side note). From the reported results I would say "mostly helpful but still a workaround" is more apt. That said and as in the title it is only 'A' solution not 'The' solution. For workaround purposes: Before i recalled, that know how drivers works (yeah - human brain is such a riddle), I watched many videos and reads texts were authors advice same solution as you. An under that sooo many comments - "not helped for me". And somebody repeated algorithm like yours 30 times with no effect. But somebody after 5-6 attempts started to plug in wheel in different USB ports, sometimes OS thinks that wheel it's new hardware and attach driver from LGS package instead of G HUB. So if changing driver - too hard to execute i advice uninstall G HUB and other Logi stuff, than install LGS, than try to plug in wheel in different USB port. Be noticed, that from OS perspective USB 2.0 bus and USB 3.0+ bus - is two different devices.
@@Crocodile-f1r simple. Too make wheel work you should mandatory choose old driver. Two ways. First. Install old soft somehow. And set old driver via device preferences. Second. Install old soft somehow. Pray. Plug wheel in different USB ports until luck will be on your side, and system automatically choose old driver.
I've tried seriously everything to fix my G27 on windows 10... I never had G HUB and LGS worked perfectly.. then all of a sudden after not using my wheel and plugging it in. My clutch and gear shift werent recognized. Tried to fix that and nothing lol. Now 8 months later, I go to try it again and now LSG doesnt read my wheel at all, so i try to download G HUB and it doesnt read it either :[ If someone can help me I'd appreciate it. Logitech support left me on read after asking what OS im using lmfao

It seems my windows 10 isnt recognizing the full wheel when i go to devices and printers and go to properties on the wheel, Im missing the G27 steering wheel Universal Serial Bus completely from the drivers and only have logitech g27 racing wheel USB (HID) and logitech g27 racing wheel USB. When i go to device manager im completely missing the universal serial bus devices :[
@@bigpun313 If it is this issue in the video you should have the wheel as a G29 in dev manager, if I recall correctly. It might be a different issue if you can not find any thing new popping up in the list when you plug it in.
@@bigpun313 O it really putting you through the ringer eh. If it make you feel better I had this twice months apart before I recorded this video about fixing it. Had to figure it out again... Ok i know you have had a bit of a trip to get here but from what your saying it sounds like your in a similar spot to me at the point before implementing the fix (at least one of those times...). Ghub is a big part of the issue, that and newer LGS not really being compatible with G27 (#F Logi). Delete it and delete LGS (basically the deeper the clean the better. Ghub has made changes that need reversing). I think that you may be good to try the process in the vid again (exactly as is in vid too). I know you have but I really think its worth another go now. You can check if your clean by inspecting div man. Once that DrivingF wheel is gone from div man you should be good to start reinstall. However, restart and reinstall only LGS 5.10 from the link. logitech doesnt care about us at all i think my wheel must be broken because it didnt even work on another computer... still just flashing light. ive had this happen in the past and i would buy a new power chord for the wheelbase and it would work again.. this time i bought a new chord and nothing... just flashing light.
Hey Acrock21 Maybe the Capacitors dried out in the first power adaptor. Possible if it was somewhere rather warm most of its life. Doubt it would be same for the second unless of same age, then maybe but still. Are you using Windows 10 or 11 and which version of LGS?
@@macslife LGS is the software for the wheel? if so 510 im not even sure if i had the original power adapter... the previous one i had i had a few years but got it off amazon... it worked... this last one i purchased from amazon sucked on both ends... when i plug it into a power socket it feels super loose almost like it could fall out the wall... when i plug it into the wheel base... it also feels loose like it could fall out the wheel base power port.. idk if that has anything to do with it.

What OS are you using Revotron69? The process to get it working is different for windows 10 and 11. If 11 there is a comment already posted (by a freaking legendry individual) that explains how to make it work. I am surprised it wont install unless you don't have the required user account permissions. Hit me up in the Discord if you are still having the issue. Maybe if you post a screen capture or share screen when trying to install it and I can see what going on I can be more help. Cheers

@Mark Campbell Hey so I did this and now my memory integrity won't re enable. I've tried locating the drivers and deleting them manually. It seems I only found a portion of them. I tried installing autoruns to find the rest. It did, I deleted them. I restarted my computer and it appears the drivers were not deleted stuck in this loop now. Any suggestions?

Logitech chat support just told me today, that G27 is not officially compatible with win 11.
So far I cannot get it recognized as a wheel at all.

@@macslife hey thanks for the reply my os win10 i have made it work it took me awhile. so i closed G-hub then the device connect and disconnected problem stopped then in the config screen of windows at the device and printers it says in the unknown tab G27 steering wheel then click hardware then properties it says under the operating system : Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel (PS3) then click administrator / search for updates on this computer and click the self select click : USB input device. it wil refresh the wrong software to the correct version back to the G27 (LGS). and after that i laughed G-hub and it works with it open the only thing is i think that this must be done again when G-hub updates but time wil tell.
I have the Logitech g27, I bought it, I installed it and it says "it does not recognize a USB device... I played around a little, it recognized it, I used it without problems all day, I turned off the computer, turned it on then and it said unknown device again, I reinstalled drivers and so on. I don't know how I did it... I took it again, I used it for a few hours, I restarted the computer to test... it worked perfectly for me - I created restoration points with the steering wheel working - I left... two hours later I turned it on. The PC did not recognize the USB device...I activated the restore and it still did not recognize the device...until now it remains like this...help!!!! and nothing!!!
I have the latest driver version 1.50 installed and also ghub, I don't know if it won't recognize them for that reason or what it could be, because sometimes it doesn't recognize it, sometimes it doesn't.
Try this may help - Check in Device manager if the computer is seeing it as g29. If so remove that device from list and then close Ghub updater service in task manager after this start LGS and plug in G27. This should work on Win10 but may only last until next restart. Basically Ghub is too assertive and needs to chill the F out. Hope it helps.

Mate its hard to say. Im assuming you have checked the connection between the modules to be ok. Which version of LGS are you using?

@Macs Life It works on my windows 11 by just installing the 5.10 driver and not G Hub, however you have to have Memory Integrity HVCI set to off in windows security. Ive been searching if there is a way to have it on when I came across this video haha anyway hope that helps
I have to use one gaming software for my keyboard and the profiler for the g27 - it worked on my old machine but with my new build the profiler doesn't detect anything at all. Windows sees it as G27, but the controllers bit for calibration shows it as a driving force. What a cluster of hell..

While playing NFS the wheel is rolling right and left and make annoying resistance while playing and this but me in a hand pain while holding it

hmm. mine does start and spin but it spins infinitly to the left unless i stop it and then it turns the same to the right, and my rpm leds dont light up at all. and idk what the problem is:(
Not sure about the rpm leds maybe they are not lighting up due to a calibration failure stopping start up. What is the green led on the gear stick doing? Have you looked inside the wheel housing? Sounds like the endstop mechanism is broken. If your lucky it just a cable has come unplugged inside. Id look up videos on that issue If I was you to see if you have similar symptoms. Best on luck.
@@macslife i tore the whole thing apart i found that the bracket was out of place so that the motors were spinning freely, and that the cable inside the wheel was broken too, but i managed to find the issue. Also thank you for responding :)

i read that it could be usb 3.0 ports not reading older devices, tried all usb's no change to problem.
lghum does not register g27 being connected...

I was face this today. After watching this video i ask myself: "Why he advise to remove software?" Cose what i know about computers telling me that old software must use old driver. In this case if G HUB putting in wrong driver - solution in video wil be useless until system somehow have no choice to plug in right driver. In some scenario it will work in other will not. Cose remove soft does not means mandatory remove driver too.
I started to search, and found - my system think that i have "G29 Gaming Wheel (PS3)" date of my driver is 2023. So its G HUB driver.
My solution for this:
Unplug g27 from usb.
Close, unload G Hub. (is not nessesary if you like to watch how wheel struggles)
Install version 5.10 of LGS
Plugin g27 into USB.
Go to Device manager - Find you wheel - click RMB, chose Update Driver - Browse my comp - Let me pick from a list - Find "Force Feedback Wheel Driver" chose it instead of already installed.
Run LGS - you got your weel work.
G HUB wil not overtake driver, you can run it now.
Maybe my solution help somebody.

If i may, "useless" is too strong a word (esp in English. One might even take is offensively which im sure is not your intent, hence this side note). From the reported results I would say "mostly helpful but still a workaround" is more apt. That said and as in the title it is only 'A' solution not 'The' solution.

For workaround purposes:
Before i recalled, that know how drivers works (yeah - human brain is such a riddle), I watched many videos and reads texts were authors advice same solution as you. An under that sooo many comments - "not helped for me". And somebody repeated algorithm like yours 30 times with no effect.
But somebody after 5-6 attempts started to plug in wheel in different USB ports, sometimes OS thinks that wheel it's new hardware and attach driver from LGS package instead of G HUB. So if changing driver - too hard to execute i advice uninstall G HUB and other Logi stuff, than install LGS, than try to plug in wheel in different USB port.
Be noticed, that from OS perspective USB 2.0 bus and USB 3.0+ bus - is two different devices.

Too make wheel work you should mandatory choose old driver.
Two ways.
First. Install old soft somehow. And set old driver via device preferences.
Second. Install old soft somehow. Pray. Plug wheel in different USB ports until luck will be on your side, and system automatically choose old driver.
I've tried seriously everything to fix my G27 on windows 10... I never had G HUB and LGS worked perfectly.. then all of a sudden after not using my wheel and plugging it in. My clutch and gear shift werent recognized. Tried to fix that and nothing lol. Now 8 months later, I go to try it again and now LSG doesnt read my wheel at all, so i try to download G HUB and it doesnt read it either :[
If someone can help me I'd appreciate it. Logitech support left me on read after asking what OS im using lmfao

It seems my windows 10 isnt recognizing the full wheel when i go to devices and printers and go to properties on the wheel, Im missing the G27 steering wheel Universal Serial Bus completely from the drivers and only have logitech g27 racing wheel USB (HID) and logitech g27 racing wheel USB.
When i go to device manager im completely missing the universal serial bus devices :[
@@bigpun313 If it is this issue in the video you should have the wheel as a G29 in dev manager, if I recall correctly. It might be a different issue if you can not find any thing new popping up in the list when you plug it in.
@@macslife I finally got it to show in LGS!! But its showing as a 2pedal driving force wheel instead of a g27 with shifter and clutch hahah :D
@@bigpun313 O it really putting you through the ringer eh. If it make you feel better I had this twice months apart before I recorded this video about fixing it. Had to figure it out again... Ok i know you have had a bit of a trip to get here but from what your saying it sounds like your in a similar spot to me at the point before implementing the fix (at least one of those times...).
Ghub is a big part of the issue, that and newer LGS not really being compatible with G27 (#F Logi). Delete it and delete LGS (basically the deeper the clean the better. Ghub has made changes that need reversing).
I think that you may be good to try the process in the vid again (exactly as is in vid too). I know you have but I really think its worth another go now.
You can check if your clean by inspecting div man. Once that DrivingF wheel is gone from div man you should be good to start reinstall. However, restart and reinstall only LGS 5.10 from the link. Plug in and you should get the normal start for the wheel.

ive had this happen in the past and i would buy a new power chord for the wheelbase and it would work again..
this time i bought a new chord and nothing... just flashing light.
Hey Acrock21 Maybe the Capacitors dried out in the first power adaptor. Possible if it was somewhere rather warm most of its life. Doubt it would be same for the second unless of same age, then maybe but still. Are you using Windows 10 or 11 and which version of LGS?

im not even sure if i had the original power adapter... the previous one i had i had a few years but got it off amazon... it worked... this last one i purchased from amazon sucked on both ends... when i plug it into a power socket it feels super loose almost like it could fall out the wall... when i plug it into the wheel base... it also feels loose like it could fall out the wheel base power port.. idk if that has anything to do with it.

What OS are you using Revotron69? The process to get it working is different for windows 10 and 11. If 11 there is a comment already posted (by a freaking legendry individual) that explains how to make it work. I am surprised it wont install unless you don't have the required user account permissions. Hit me up in the Discord if you are still having the issue. Maybe if you post a screen capture or share screen when trying to install it and I can see what going on I can be more help. Cheers

@Mark Campbell Hey so I did this and now my memory integrity won't re enable. I've tried locating the drivers and deleting them manually. It seems I only found a portion of them. I tried installing autoruns to find the rest. It did, I deleted them. I restarted my computer and it appears the drivers were not deleted stuck in this loop now. Any suggestions?
