Best to have two people assemble; one to read out the instructions step by step from this video, the other to assemble. Ensure you have the headboard with the finished side facing out!
Assemble the metal base & slats first if you don’t have the room once the bed is assembled. Better off using your own tools than those supplied. The thin hardboard white boards just lay on the floor. Remove all components from the boxes first & check for damage & that everything has been delivered. Be careful pushing in the screw caps to the headboard. Put a little soap in the hole to help slide in. Took us two about 2 hours. Pretty good quality bed for the price.

We’ve ended up with the screw holes showing on the headboard. Is it on the wrong way round.?

@@elle29rich yes the head board is the wrong way round! Unscrew the bolts from the side & gently slide the headboard free from the dowels. Don’t use a hammer you will dent the timber. If if doesn’t come loose, get a piece of timber or something hard to put against the head board & hammer on that. Turn the headboard round & refit. Hope that helps mate🤝 also advice you retighten all the fixings after a month of use.

You've missed a vital step. The actual first step is attaching the top bar to the headboard frame which you've skipped so I have absolutely no idea how to attach it to the rest. In your video this is already attached when you start attaching the center storage panel and the side posts so I have no idea how you did that initial step.

The top bar which attaches to the headboard doesn't fully go in as the holes in the top bar aren't quite big enough so it doesn't just slot in. Can you please let me know how to fix this?
