    Thank you so much for these tips. This is exactly what I told my coaches to do but they think I'm wrong. So they messed up my swings. Just doing this one adjustment increase my hitting percentage by a lot. Thank you🔥

    Great video. Would love to see/know what you are focusing on to launch when you trigger the bottom half. Is it more of a hip turn? or a drive from the back heel?

    Great video, Thanks to you I have improved a lot in hitting. One Question when you start coiling you go back and then start your stride or stay in the same position to stride?

    I'm currently coaching my oldest son and plan on following him up through high school and staying there as the rest of my kids come through the program if I can. My problem is that, even though I played at the college level, I still regurgitate the same stuff I was taught when I was a little kid without realizing that I wasn't really doing as I was told. Fielding is a good example... I was told to get my butt down, but after watching your video I realize I didn't do that as a player. I'm having struggles because I will say certain things, show the players how to do it and then not do what I just said to do. Is it possible to open up an email thread with you in an effort to better my skills (and wording) as a coach so these kids can get the maximum from me? I'm tired of watching our 0 - 11 high school team lose games 28 - 3 because they weren't taught the fundamentals properly and I know I can fix that to some degree. I'm just reaching out. I understand if it's not something you want to take on. Thanks

    What are your opinions on Dustin Pedroia's swing? I have never coiled much and had a very slightly open stance. I have never had a big step either. Should I try to adjust my swing and acquire more of a step? My timing and confidence has been off recently and I was wondering what I could do to try and fix this. I have usually had very high confidence but now, for some odd reason, my confidence at the plate has been at an all time low.

    Nice pinstripes! Cool vid Matt, question I know u were infielder but I’ve always wondered how do a pitcher and catcher talk if they both don’t speak the same language I’ve seen catchers and pitchers who speak different languages and I just wonder what they do. Thanks as always.

    This is great. I have been working on coiling with my 8U son. I find when I fix one thing, another part breaks. Constantly tinkering. I need to be cautious we are heading into LL playoffs, he is the most consistent hitter on the team.

    hey Matt is if you could answer this question real quick what is the difference between d1 d2 d3 and jc in college baseball for pitchers or just talent wise?

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  5 років тому

      Usually the higher the level the higher the velo and usually the overall stuff is better. Really depends though. Some JC pitchers could easily be D1 pitchers. D1 is usually 85+ for velo to give you a rough idea. Thank you for watching our videos!!!

    In BP my son crushes baseballs. I guess this is because in his sub-conscious he knows that his dad or his coach isn't gonna throw at him on purpose or by mistake. Come game time, different story. He bails out. From my video footage (which my son hates looking at) he tries to recover mid-pitch and by the time he has realized the ball isn't gonna hit him he's dropped his hands, has lost complete balance and the swing isn't a swing anymore. I've showed him how to get out of the way of a pitch by turning away and not into it. How can I help him overcome the fear of getting hit by a baseball?

    Hi Matt. You have a mechanically beautiful swing. In this 6.5 minute video, you spent about 2 minutes on “positive” yet somewhat vague instruction. And we never see your complete swing demonstrating the point you are making. Then you spend 4 minutes showing what people do wrong. How can we learn from this? We need to see so much more of the correct way to hit. And show your complete swing numerous times.
    If tell someone many times, “Don’t drop the ball,” they will drop the ball. Please start focusing on the positive!

  • @HBK360MUSIC
    @HBK360MUSIC 5 років тому

    You should do a video “How to swing the bat”, and actually swing the bat. Kids might actually learn something then
