For people who might not know the spaghetti looking paste is actually sweetened chestnut puree, and it's not for everyone, and it can feel dry. X3 I don't mind it, but Mont Blanc can be a bit too sweet in my opinion. I've only had it in Japan to be honest. This matcha one is probably still chestnut puree mixed with matcha, so it might feel even dryer than regular Mont Blanc.
That sounds delicious to me, but it makes sense that the matcha might make it a little dryer than usual so I’d probably try adding the tiniest bit of oil to compensate. If you screw up the amount then you get matcha chestnut butter so it seems like a win either way
In Germany, “spaghetti ice” has been really popular for decades and you can get it at any ice cream shop that offers a menu. We use vanilla ice cream and it gets placed on top of type of whipped cream and topped with the most delicious and fruity strawberry sauce. I still order it anytime I’m back home and getting ice cream. Edit: Forgot to mention the white chocolate shredded all over as the parmesan!
I used to get spaghetti ice cream all the time when I lived in Germany as a kid in the nineties, and it was exactly as you described - vanilla ice cream in strings of “spaghetti” with red strawberry sauce on top as the “meat/tomato sauce” and white chocolate shavings as the “Parmesan”! Germany always had some fantastically creative ice creams for kids! It was a great place to grow up!
@@justanotherhappyhumanist8832 omg yess my family is German. Once when we visited, I was in like 3rd grade. I got this cool ice cream that was like bubble gum flavored and the stick of the ice cream was literally BUBBLEGUM😅 I thought it was so cool.
this looks so freaking epic, especially with the lemon marmalade since i love lemons, sis they better still sell this shit if i visit japan in the future !!
I hear this all the time about Sweden and how people love to stand in line. My reaction is like, what? noone enjoys standing in a line, it's just common decency..if someone who got after me gtried to push himself before me i would throw hands. Not polite but freaking annoying if not followed.
@@CheapEatsSyd We know. But falooda looks exactly like that. That's the first thing that came to my mind as well seeing this. Altho taste will prolly be different.
In India especially in a state called karnataka the grass looking thing from the machine they make we use the same technique to make a dessert called 'shavige' where u put coconut milk or curry on that and to make it healthy we use ragi powder boil it with water and put inside the machine and eat it
Normally Mont Blanc has more fair layering with whipped cream and meringue but the cone really doesn’t allow for that well. It’s like that burrito shitpost where they made the burrito horizontal instead of vertically
This thing is sweet as hell and you want more sweet sauce 😅 I would say that the "dry" is actually ok because you don't want the dessert to be easily spilled out when you are eating and walking around, and especially you will need to take quite some time to savor it.
My sis who went to Tokyo without me just sent me a picture of it I thought it was just matcha ice cream that you can get anywhere but now I know it's not just an "ice cream" and now I locked myself up in my room and cried myself to sleep
Going off what I've seen most Japanese savour treats a lpt slower and in smaller "bites" than most other continents / ethnicity which us why it may seen dry.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the chestnut and matcha combo!

Oh, in Switzerland we call it Vermicelles
If you pause at the layer descriptions, it directly labels it as chestnuts instead of “mont blanc“
@@Chemeleon15 they’re the same thing, mont blanc is a chestnut purée dessert

Its yummy fr
My boyfriend keeps telling me to try it since I've moved in with him, but I keep passing it up.

I like its dry and less sweet. Hate sweetened stuff and it seems like the dryness adds to consistency in this case, looks rly delicious
“You’ve probably seen this place all over the internet” 😂
All I'm saying is, German Spaghetti icecream is unbeatable ☺️
haha we'll have to try it one day!
I love how you say it’s topped with “matcha mont blanc“ like those are totally normal words that everyone is supposed to understand.
Google is free 😂
This looks amazing omg😭
If you break it into a bowl and eat it all together/mixed up it tastes soooo good!
Should brought our bowl LOL
@@CheapEatsSyd you can ask for one at the shop too.

Thanks!
As a matcha addict I just almost lost it looking at that
In a good or a bad way? 😂
@@CheapEatsSyd in a very very good way. But also bad because I’m not in Tokyo.
We have been eating this in India since ages it’s kulfi with falooda
I now know this is an excellent dessert because of your “honest” Americanised craving for extra sweet sauce on top of it
We aren’t American 💀
no i have not seen this all over internet 😂
You’ve been under a rock 🤣😝
Great! What does it taste like?
Matcha and cake

Duh this type of ice cream is also served in India 🇮🇳🇮🇳

I found that it is good if you scoop a bit of the ice cream to eat with the matcha paste. Don’t eat the matcha paste by itself
Very similar to Indian Kulfi Faluda (sweeter/ flavoured version)
It makes me remember "kulfi faluda".
