Awesome Rebecca, I'm 54 years old and started bowling 6 years ago and got hooked. My friend asked me to bowl on her team, and I was like nah I'm good. She asked again and I said sure thing. I'm averaging 194-197 (miss too many spares to make the jump to 200+.) If anyone cares, I've looked at my USBC average since I began and it's went up every year, if you think progress happens over night it takes a while and lots of practice. I’m 60 and I never thought I’d get into this game. Just started playing almost 3 months ago and still learning but I really enjoy it. It’s a mental plus physical challenge for me that’s why I play twice a week.
I'm a 55 year old woman and started bowling 5 years ago and I'm completely obsessed with it and wished I started a long time ago. I moved across country and had no friends so bowling was a great way to meet new people, get exercise and have fun. Finally got my first 600 series a month ago after getting close so many times.
Same. I'm 53 and started bowling 2 years ago to keep busy during the pandemic. This is my first league year, glad I did it.
