I'm a straighter player with high ball speed, and have difficulty slowing it down. Fresh league conditions were giving me a lot of trouble - the ball never made it back to the pocket. The minute I started using surface, and using it wisely, it made a big difference. Got an earlier and more predictable hook on the fresh, but with my high ball speed I was still getting great carry and pin action associated with that.

Hi, I didn't know sanding pads can be used during warmup. hmm 😒
I'm new to your channel and have already gotten good info. Can you recommend a good reactive ball cleaner. I use CTD products but they're very expensive. THX FOR SHARING!

Yes during warm up unless specified by league or tournament is ok. Just not when play begins. As far as cleaner, I’ve been happy with the storm cleaners but really any on the market should work well. Good luck! And thanks for the comment!

I've found that Tacky Ballz by KR Strikeforce really does a great job removing dirt, grime and oil.

I have a dark code and it's looking pretty worn out after some games. How do I get it back to its.. kind of polish pearl look again? Is that something I do at the pro shop or do I use a high number pad that's close to what it was originally.
I've only used 500s and 1000s, but i feel like if I used a 2000pad on it, the shine would completely come off, no?

If you want a more polished surface the best way to do that is through your pro shop using a higher grit pad and a ball spinner. You could try that on your own to get a different reaction down lane but for the shinier polish it's best to have your pro shop do that for you. Hope that helps!

I have the same ball but it has the 4k fast finish. I wet sand it starting with 1000 to 2000 then 4000 with lighter pressure and then hit it with some polish which I think makes finish clean up better after league and last a little longer. I get about 10-12 games and do it all over again. Storm has a vid how they get the 4k fast finish
