- Minecraft 1.21 has so many new features and farms that come along with it! So here is by far one of the best XP farms that you can make in the new update! All it does is uses instant damage potions to kill silverfish and you can gain a lot of XP fast.

I'd imagine so. I mean some people still consider iron farms cheating, so it does depend on you, however, it doesn't seem like this was an intended feature, hence the "it might be patched soon" comment.
I mean the morals are gone if you have slaved the villagers and force them to breed each other and making their children be slave too

the more i think about it, even if it does get fixed, there is still going to be ways to do this, for example, add a regeneration potion. or use a contraption that steals a witches healing potions to repeatedly heal a mob whilst it's being damaged by the wither roses.

I think the part that would get patched is oozing/infested mob spawns having drops.

I guess the patching is gonna be in regards to the exp. Like mobs spawned from these potions effects won't give exp...
Yes, this does seem like a pretty good farm. But, the materials are gonna be hell to get I feel like.
Well all you need is wood technically, you can replace the roses with campfires and silverfish cant infest wood
Or you can replace the wither roses with water

An easy way to trap Alleys is to use scaffolding as it is one-way
And since it is easy to break you can replace the block with whatever allows a wither rose

By the time you can obtain all of this in survival, you hardly need XP anymore and have more then enough gear to kill the dragon.

You can use a campfire instead of wither roses which allows you to build this much sooner. Allays can be duplicated with amethyst once you’ve found one in an outpost, so all you really need is a few blaze rods from the nether to brew the potions.
what about the spawn egg... 🤦
@@QuantumMarmalade There is no need for spawn egg for Allays . as you can find them in outpost and you can throw item in the center to trap them
Another reason to use Silverfish over Slimes is because the affected mob has to die for Oozing to take effect

If you use silverfish, don't use and blocks that can get infested, such as stone, deepslate, stone bricks, or their variants. If you do, any silverfish that takes damage(and survives) will wake up any nearby infested blocks, causing them to break.
why should it get patched? it‘s not a glitch
infinitely spawning tons of silverfish using a really easy to get potion and an allay is kinda game breaking

They might just stop the mobs that spawned(silverfish or slime) to drop XP when killed.

Such a shame, when they added, this extremely useful and sweet mob, and look what you're using it for.
Better option for mob are Armadillo scute farm, sniffer farm, items collector and what not.
Its good to use silverfish for mining.

Oozing only spawns slimes when the alleys dies snd they dont bc they have very fast regen
This comment needs more attention. When it comes to this farm, if you ooze, you lose.
Except in bedrock allays will die and neither potion spawns anything from them.💀It’s been like this for awhile.

You can also use the silverfish to mine for you if you get a lot of them in a hole that reaches stone level and drop a potion of poison on them
I haven't stayed really up to date on how these mechanics work, how are the silverfish or slime coming from the allay without it dying
The infestation potion effect makes silverfish spawn from mobs whenever they take damage. Cause Allays naturally have really good regeneration, you can trap them on wither roses (or on magma blocks, campfires, or water to be cheaper) and they won't die. They'll constantly take damage, and thus constantly spawn silverfish, but they regen their health fast enough so they don't die from the damage they're taking.
The silverfish can then escape the Allay enclosure because they are short, while the Allay cannot.
The oozing potion to spawn slimes doesn't actually work for this farm though. Since that potion only spawns slimes when a mob DIES, just like how big slimes split into smaller slimes upon death, rather than whenever the mob takes damage.

Build the farm over stone and it also acts as an auto-miner, they’ll infest and destroy stone leaving ores behind
OMG this looks so good! Only problem is I've never challenged the wither...might be a good opportunity to take him on!

you can use campfires btw, and the slime don't work unless you kill a mob effected by the potion.

Just make a gold xp farm it will repair your almost dead tool in 5 mins and give you a lot of gold too
If ypu use a mod to clump xp orbs together, a guardian farm is very efficient. Esspecially if your in a solo world
A better idea is to use splash poison potions so the silverfish work as a makeshift tunnel borer.
Damn 5 mins? I get lvl 30 in a min and a half with my guardian farm on bedrock

by far not a useless mod, they are so useful for building. whenever you brake blocks in high places use them to pick up those blocks instead of going up and down to collect them yourself
I honestly hope they don't nerf this farm. It's actually quite hard to set up once you think about everything that it needs.
It needs either wither roses or (more cheaply) a water source to damage the Allay's, plus a constant brewing of both Infestation and Oozing potions to maximize its potential.
The Allay are also quite hard to find unless you get lucky at an outpost, because aside from that they also spawn in woodland mansions which are already quite hard to find.
Not to mention the relocation of the Allay, the farming of wither roses and the subsequent killing of said Wither, unless you want your world turning into swiss cheese, and then the culmination of your potions.
Sidenote: You can make it better by splashing the Allay with Infestation and then the Silverfish with the Oozing enchantment. After that, not even a max level Enderman farm or the relocation of over a dozen blaze spawners (through mods or plugins) would be able to outdo that level of exp.
Cost - Reward ratios are warranted. And at the late-game this farm turns into a near instant tool/armor repair station.
or you can use campfire and of course the allay could be replace with another mob.
In my version I just merger both iron farm and Pillager farm and those pesky Ravager are put in practice instead of Allay. So.. Yeah! Not really expensive if you chose another alternative.
Currently in I new world I use my cow farm instead and once my Iron farm are complete! Oh boii :>
@@kawaiistalker8142 The thing that makes the Allay work is their passive regeneration. If you used another mob it wouldn't work, because aside from the Wither, or a Witch, the Allay is the only one with passive regeneration.
Even then the witch would drink Fire Resistance to be immune to the fire, and wouldn't out-heal the damage caused by both it or wither roses with a simple regen potion. The Allay effectively has regen 2 as its base mechanic which makes this farm viable.
@@darkstone_official_2427 I'm totally agree with you on that behalf mate! what I was saying is that you can make it way less expensive. For example, my cow farm is there to provide me with steak and leather, but now I can use it for EXP too and even thou it's not efficient but I get to access it way earlier than ever and also with it I got advantage with my mending tool, easy access to higher level enchantment.
So... Yeah, Allay is way more efficient. But you can make it cheaper, cause right now I don't need 250 lvl all the time therefor cheaper alternative is fine too!

Like if you're in the need for other materials like leather/beef you can totally just sacrifice a bunch of your cows to some campfires or drowning while affected with the Oozing/Infestation potion effects to get more slime and exp.

@@darkstone_official_2427 I'm a min/max player hench that why to me, when you start a "farm" (iron or pillager) you can used the Iron golem and ravager instead.

Alternatively, get a good sharpness V sword so you don't need to keep heading to your meth lab to cook up dmg potions.
Can use water instead of wither roses to build it but it will be slower
campfires work just as well as wither roses if you dont wanna spawn a wither for this.
And water works too
This is also a great way to mine without duplicating tnt

Surprisingly it did get a patch, but it's still possible to use it. It's just not as efficient anymore.

fyi this doesn't work with the oozing effect, that only spawns slimes on a mob's death. It'll work just fine with the infestation effect tho :3
