    Wow, man! When it looks steep on camera you know it’s bad! We have the same kind of land around here. My neighbor rolled a tire off the rim on his hill and had to get a dozer to pull it out so we could get the tire fixed. Good job! Be safe out there, Man!

    Thanks Ben for your time and commitment to putting out good content. I have a M6060 being assembled now and currently have a l3301. I'm very pleased with it except the lift capacity wasn't quite large enough for my needs. The M6060 should remedy that. Your videos bring back memories on the farm, haying, brush hogging and countless other chores on tractors.

    • @khtractors
      @khtractors  Рік тому

      I don’t have wheel spacers, just have the wheels adjusted to the widest setting. I don’t really recommend adding weight to the loader on steep hills because if you get turned sideways it could cause you to be less stable due to the front axle swivel. Fluid filled tires and wheel weights add the best stability. Thanks for watching

      I noticed that Ben replied to one viewer that keeping the bucket low helps detect stumps and large rocks. Also, I think it helps protect the front of the tractor when mowing tall bushes and brush. You will notice when you watch the video that the bucket rides the taller stuff down protecting the radiator etc.

    A week ago, I realized I"m not as brave as I think I am. I tried to plow out an area on rolling hills. After 3 hours and not much progress, I gave up and went back to the barn. I know there are 300lbs of washer fluid in each of the rear tires and another 250/300 lbs on the front with the bucket. Still, I could not overcome the fear that I was going to turn the tractor over.

      I am a big fan of fluid in the rear tires. I bought a tractor at a farm auction one time that had fluid in the front tires. Not sure the reasoning there. It wasn’t at all light in the front. I did away with the fluid when I changed the fronts. Involved a whole lot of cleaning up of the wheels. The fluid was calcium chloride. I no fan of that product. I’m new to the whole tractor world and bought my first Kubota end of last summer. I mowed my new small piece of property with a walk along bush hog end of last summer and said never again. The brush was as tall as I am and it was brutal work. My hills are so steep I couldn’t even finish. So bought the 1988 Kubota L2850 still in great shape with a 72” center mower.
    I would rather use a rear mower and do away with the center but don’t know how far a rear mower will articulate down like when the tractor gets to the top of a steep hill and levels off will that make the rear mower lift and not mow the top of the hill??? Same going down, as the tractor goes down will the mower raise off the ground and not mow the top of the flat section??? I would rather use a rear mower to free up the tractor for other activities and just get rid of the center mower.
