I usually agree with customer reviews; I have something to add. The O.E.M. ROPS (roll over protection system….AKA cage) is designed with specifications from industry regulated standards. You are correct when saying your aftermarket cage looks better, maybe should not say it provides more protection. Hopefully companies have experience welders and each weld has adequate metal to metal penetration/bonding. Thanks for your through review. PS I have a 2024 KRX1000-4 es SE….the O.E.M. Seats with PRP 4 point harnesses are just fine
We love our KRX. The thing is a beast. Definitely not satisfied with our local dealer. I want a brute force. I really like the new 2024 redesign. I will shop from another dealer though. Thanks
I had the same popping out of gear issue. But you have a dealership problem. I recommend finding a different dealer, mine was fixed with no questions asked. But I also went through Kawasaki first.
JBS Performance makes an after market spring for the KRX that is supposed to stop the jumping out of gear. It works very well with one person in the car. My 21 ES edition will jump out of gear only with a passenger in the car now. From my research on the problem it was a design flaw in the way the gears are tapered, Kawasaki designed the the gears with a to shallow of a taper. They now have a corrected tapered gear available. I will be taking mine for the new gears!!!
Yup…I had a 2022 KRX. Between popping out of gear in high and a host of other issues I kicked that thing to the curb. Brought a 2022 Pro XP4 and never looked back. People give Polaris a hard way to go but I honestly have been issue free in a year of riding. MOAB, Hatfield McCoy, Ride Royal Blue Tn and a host of Alabama/Georgia trails. Good luck, I hope they take care of you soon.
Mine was recently repaired for the transmission disengaging when you coast downhill. Here is my review of the service department "I will never go there again. Took 2022 KRX1000 in for warranty repair on the transmission disengaging when coasting downhill. When it was returned, I decided to replace the clutch weights and discovered the primary clutch was rubbing on the plastic behind it. The right rear shock mounting bolts were not tightened up at all; the nuts were just started on the bolts. I also greased the rear bearings and changed the rear brake pads. In the process, I discovered they botched up a threaded hole for the caliper bracket. I chased the threads and it should be okay. The transmission fluid was not filled to the correct level; it was half a quart low. I noticed this because I installed a new drain plug that was magnetic. Very disappointed, when I called to discuss these problems with Jason, the service manager, all he did was make excuses."
None of the service departments are worth a flip anymore, I dropped my general off it was accelerating on its on going down hill, tried to get someone to ride where I could show them what it was doing, they didn’t have time, then called me in 3 weeks couldn’t see what it was doing, I had to drive 80 miles to show them.. after 3 months and argueing with them, Polaris bought the machine back and I lost my tail on aftermarket’s, always wanted another General but too scared to buy one
I'm so sorry about your issues. I have a 2021 ES model 3900 miles on it. Has never had your problems. I do have the problem with it being hard to shift because at times it Idols too high. When it happens I take it to the shop covered under warranty, they will keep for some times as long as three days. Which is starting to get old. Watching you complain , makes me glad I have my problem and not yours. Even considering my reoccurring problem I have had fantastic service from my dealer and the Kawasaki Rep here in Utah.
My 2021 is at the dealer right now getting the High gear, updated slider/shifter and the three springs in the transmission. Kawasaki Care claims they are taking care of it. I was prepared to take it on myself being an ex transmission specialist. But Kawasaki stepped up. I expected I would have to fight with someone but was pleasantly surprised. Crossing fingers until I get it back. You should add popping out of high gear to the UA-cam title. Lots of other KRX owners/dealers are still misdiagnosing the problem thinking its in the belt area, cable maladjustment, cable detent spring or one way clutch. If it's going down a hill in high gear and comes out of gear with gear clash it is the shifter slider in the transmission that has too great of bevel on the three cogs. The new one is less beveled and the stronger springs aid in holding it in place. Did you folks ever get a answer why the 2023 did it? Maybe early model year with older transmission parts?
Yes they finally fixed it. Had to take transmission apart. So far it’s holding up and has not come out of gear. We had to fight with the dealer to have it fixed. Good luck with yours!
Weird I’ve had my 24 es out 3 times to Arkansas and once to Colorado about to hit 1,200 miles and zero issues. I did read on the net that you can take the bike to any Kawasaki certified mechanic, it doesn’t have to be the one you purchased from unless you bought an in house warranty and last year Kawasaki shut that down.do like you said and film it and get a hold of Kawasaki they may suggest a different mechanic to take it to.
It seems like after resting to the story in the trouble getting the service and the tax and everybody to notice that’s the problem videotaping it seems very logical to me and I am truly sorry that you guys had to go through all the trouble show the text mechanics, the reps the dealer owners show everyone what it’s doing I think, however though it could bean excellent thing for the future I guess it’s still trying to explain what the vehicle is doing to simply show them the video clip and see if they’re gonna fix it. What whatever brand or whatever thing it is it kind of been helpful so I appreciate the video. Sorry for all the trouble and I hope you got it worked out. Thank you.
let us know what they say. Good luck ! We also just got rid of a 2023 Can-am commander XMR because of the harsh ride and jumpy belt issues. KRX is so much better.
I can tell you from prior experience call Kawasaki open your own claim with them it’s the dealer probably don’t have a mechanic to do the job look at your build date bet you have the old clutch I had. 23 same as yours I no have 24 es totally different the old clutch will be 77 stamped on it
That is terribly stupid lol. There are many ppl with little to no issues for every one like this guy. If you think the issues with a krx are eliminating them you might as well stick to a 4wheeler
Kawasaki is making some of the most reliable beefy units at the moment. There are TONS of excellent reviews compared to this bad one. Nothing is perfect but kawi makes an excellent product.
Go look at any machine out there you're going to see they all have issues check out Polaris they put stop rides on there because they have so many issues
I cant tell by the video but all cvt rigs will "come out of gear" or disingage the belt if you just roll down a hill. A small blurp of the gas pedal usually engages the belt and you will get engine braking. My vehicle i have it clutched so that it holds the belt pretty good but still coasts on longer descents if i never keep the belt engaged by blurping the gas.
Krx has a wet clutch, the clutch stays engaged all the time. Kawi/ dealers are very understanding about the issue and fix them free. It may take a min at the dealership ( I chop that to just dealing with a dealership). Every manufacturer will have issues, kawi seems to have the fewest

I have a Brute Force (love it) and been thinking about getting same model KRX. Thanks for the info, might have to go with the extended warranty.

Yes our dealer finally did fix the issue after we pushed back. We will not be using our local dealer anymore. Thanks
2000 miles on my 2020 no issues except sagging Tender Springs at about 900 me I changed them to some all things Springs been a great ride since then
Got the same one !! 2024 model !!! Hopefully I’ll have no problems with it!!! hopefully all will be fine down the road for y’all 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Good luck!
I bought 4 seater back in April 2023. No issues runs a champ

Thanks for the information. Fortunately the dealership rebuilt the tranny and solved our problem

Thanks. It was repaired and working so far. Very disappointed in Kawasaki. We will see how it holds up

I was about to buy the exact same bike but 2024 after seeing this and how you guys were treated I’m not buying Kawasaki

That's an easy fix, remover center console and to the left you can adjust that throttle just a little and you'll be good to go.
I'm certain me and my wife talk to yall at doe mountain. I remember yall saying mo money. How crazy we was on the 570
Yeah that was us! 👍

How many machines in the last 3 years? Is your place hiring?

How much quieter is the machine verse the 800. Or is it just as loud? I have a t4 currently and thinking about upgrading.
Does the rear window cut down on engine noise?
Maybe a little but not much
Who's your dealership? I had one that did that and my dealership fixed it the first day
Dealer in western NC

Sounds like you took it to Full Throttle Powersports in Gastonia NC
let us know what they say. Good luck ! We also just got rid of a 2023 Can-am commander XMR because of the harsh ride and jumpy belt issues. KRX is so much better.
Thanks.
Yeah they got it fixed for us finally.
What part of Carolinas are y’all from
Western. Morganton, NC
if they could just fix the springs sagging.
Agree. I just ordered the shock therapy end caps for the shock reservoirs.

Ok thanks for the info
@@carolinamuddaubers2926 Yea bud mine had a early build date it’s on the tag behind the pass seat
@@hillbillycustom1730 They fixed the issues with the clutch? Do you wish it had a regular transmission?
Thank you so much for the video. I am looking at purchasing one and you've just eliminated Kawasaki out of the choices.

$36,000!!?? I thought they was like 23.

Yeah that is not this. KRX has a known problem of this and the fix is to rebuild transmission

Completely wrong info for a krx. It stays engaged period unless you have a faulty trans that pops out of gear
