    Water is going to gather where the flexible duct sags. If you need to reverse the flow you could potentially introduce contaminated air into your basement. You should replace it with a rigid duct. Keep up the awesome reefing.

    That’s a great inexpensive way to dehumidify a basement. Very creative.

    Awesome video! I've been thinking of turning my basement into my fish room with all the tanks I have but was worried about the humidity in the summer and wasn't sure how to deal with it. This def just answered my question on where to start! Keep em coming can't wait to get the next update!

    Hey Rico this was a good video man... Great idea, I would never have thought about that.. I was wondering why not open a window.. Now I see what you did and how much better it is.. Good job man

    Looks like a lot of work, nice job! I'll be anxious to hear if this is enough to control humidity, or if you'll also need a dehumidifier. And tell that young man that's a heck of a paint job!

    Rico please don't use the table saw with more than 1/4 inch of blade sticking up past the wood your cutting. We want you to keep all your fingers. :-)

      I know from experience, I almost cut my thumb off on a table saw and wound up having surgery, not much use of it anymore but at least I still have a thumb.

    How much heat do you think you'll lose in the winter? Have you considered a HRV?

    Hi Rico.
    Hope you are well.
    A D.I.Y job done very well once again.
    Please make sure to use a hand guard while using a Table saw, it is worrying to see you going in with superman hands, Please be careful.
    Will you be sheeting the ceiling to cover the beams in the future or are you going to paint over them and leave the Pipes etc exposed?
    Thankyou for sharing. 👍

    Great video! Are you going to do anything to try and keep bugs from coming in or is that not a concern? I would be curious how well this works. I might look into this for my basement. Thanks for sharing!

    • @ricosaquariums7992
      @ricosaquariums7992  6 років тому +1

      It's really not a concern! I have the same set up for the dryer as well and never had a problem when it came to bugs.

    is there something to paint the wood on the ceiling that would help lock moisture out??? That fans cool u could maybe run a tee off of the intake to draw air from different zones too!!
