Dude! What an awesome tutorial. Absolute quality!! Thank you. A tip I just taught myself while doing this, thanks to you and others, on the notch cut of the T3 x 8mm neowedge LED. Another option to notch cutting the socket of the new LED, reuse the old one. The fit is premium. Untwist the legs of the old incandescent bulb and remove from OEM socket. Then untwist the legs of the SMD and remove it from its aftermarket shit socket. Feed them back into the OEM socket, twist the legs back to their original arraingment and Voila. Perfect fitting LED's. Side note one of the OEM sockets is longer than the other and it will need to be trimmed to fit the short legs of the SMD's.
Am i the only one who prefers the turn of the century lighting? I keep it all stock with oem replacement bulbs and everything except LED white map lights. 1999 SR5 5-speed w rear locker in millennium silver with a hood scoop.
Thank you! Thank you! Your video gave me the wherewithal to swap out my dash and shifter bezels. I needed a win and you helped me obtain it. I suspect the imitation wood grain bezels are not as sturdy as the black ones. After maintaining my 4Runner for the long haul, I had a sinking feeling when the bezel was disintegrating. That is not the case now! My 4Runner looks great and everything works! Thanks again!
Thank you for doing this, Loved it. I would also love if you keep sharing any future upgrade on your 4runner intrerior (mods, accesories, replacements, etc)
Where did you find the steering wheel? My steering wheel is also torn. Thank you in advance for your answer. Also, thank you for the great video! I am subscribing so I don’t miss any of your 4Runner tutorials.
I recently changed my dash bulbs with LED bulbs and have had problems ever since. My lights dim, blinker doesn’t work, and my speedometer does not work. Sometimes my headlights flicker. It goes from that to being normal and then back to messed up. I have zero idea what is going on. I took everything apart and checked connections, but the same thing is still happening. Could I have bumped something out of place? Should I check the ground wires potentially? Thank you in advance!
I did my swap to LED’s but mine had the plastic bases for them. It took me forever to find them and order them but I did. I got the screen to work and one side of the climate control but can’t get the other to work. Have you had this issue before? I tried a bunch of things like flipping it and changing out a different led. Not sure if it’s a bad connection or what. Got any ideas?
I used whatever brackets were on the old radio. I'm not positive they were factory, but they look pretty close according to the pictures I can find. There were enough holes that I was able to get all the screws in and make it secure.
Dude thank you so much I couldn’t find a single vid for a 99 light replacement for the climate control. True life & Time saver.

I joined the 3rd gen buy/sell groups on Facebook. Eventyally found someone parting out a decent one.
Well done video, Stuart!

Where did you get the steering wheel?
Can I buy that bezel?
Did you buy a new bracket for the new stereo or were you able to use the factory radios bracket?

I’m too intimidated to tackle this by myself. My A/C lights don’t work and I also wanna replacement my OEM stereo.
very nice but im definitely keeping my fake wood grain. it makes me feel like a king.
Thanks Squidward 😂
awesome...how much do you charge?...lol
I haven't ever thought about it before. But if you're in the OK area we could work something out :)
I changed to led and it lasted less then 3 months and started blinking the original bubls are better.
Well.. hope mine work out better! 🙏
Ha Ha! I want your fake wood!!
