At this point, Leon has been a much better friend to Larry than Cheryl ever was as a wife. Leon is earning that free room and board.
They are both taking it up the ass for Larry.
Larry actually said he doesn't mind that the only reason he gets dates is that he has money. So Cheryl was simply fulfilling the arrangement; Larry doesn't get into dating to be in an actual relationship

@@wyethpurkiss7393 It depends upon whether or not you expect her to demonstrate gratitude or to just be a gold digger. Cheryl had no money and no interest in working. Larry was a billionaire. If I was 100% dependent upon someone else, I might let some shit slide. I might be on his side, at least publicly, and I wouldn't give him a hard time about petty shit. She was very demanding and rarely had his back. Leon might be taking advantage but you always see him take Larry's side and brings laughter into Larry's life.

Wish she would’ve been in the show all along.
I'm no Curb expert, in fact most of what I know comes from these out of sequence clips... But having 'real' characters feels like one of the most important things about the show. Tracey Ullman's character looks like she's straight out of a sketch with the tinted glasses and the obvious wig. It's not a natural fit (... I suppose that's the point, why else would Larry want to break up with her, but still).
Her character is; so that she is pretentious.
So many parts of this season are straight from Seinfeld episodes. This pancake business is just like the "bless you" episode of Seinfeld.
this show has become a parody of itself. As much as I would love season 1-8 style comedy to recur throughout my life, it is a bit like The Simpsons and the post 8 seasons are becoming too farcical and rushed. A lot of the conflict feels contrived and forced rather than natural.
Every good show ends one day. Seinfeld was offered more than 100 million dollars to continue the show with 10th season, but he refused . Too bad LD was not able to end his show on high note, perhaps even season 11 was unnecessary. Last great season was season 10 with Mocha Joe, spite cafe ,Nazi dog, oversensitive female assistant who fed her dog from Larry`s bowl , ugly section and Jeff as Harvey Weinstein lookalike. When his spite cafe burned down , that was perfect time to end the show.
He's proven himself many many times over. I'm not upset at getting more LD content even if its not prime material.
I’ve gotten HBO subscriptions to binge watch past seasons but no way doing that for this yawn season.
This season has been one big yawn, hope it gets better.
These new episodes are failing on all fronts .
Disjointed , poor dialog , and predictable .
